Here is the main RP thread for Lillend. <3 The intro to the RP will be found in the post below. After that, you may begin posting. :3

In the world of Lillend, players work together to help colonize the planet and make it habitable for normal citizens. To do that, they have to rid the world of all the violent beasts found there. Of course, they don't expect just ordinary people to help out. Only those that volunteer will be expected to help. The volunteers are given free training to start out with, but once they've cleared that, they're on their own.

There are people here to help these volunteers: shopkeepers, innkeepers, sword smiths, soldiers, and many more, found in all of the main cities, and even some of the smaller cities.

Once plunged into the game, smells, sights, sounds, all bombard the senses, as if they were completely real. The first thing heard by anyone that had just logged in, is this,"Hi, and welcome to Lillend! Good luck out there!", in this utterly cutesy voice.

Finally. She was back home, able to distract herself from the haunting numbers dancing before her eyes as she forced nearly all her energy into her work. Speaking of work, it reminded her she actually had to do the dishes and some cleaning. Laïs shrugged helplessly. She'd do that later. Right now, she had some monsters to kill and runes to learn.

"Hi, and welcome to Lillend! Good luck out there!"
"Why, hello to you too, unseen voice", Laïs said to the world, smirking. "So, what's on the agenda today?"

She scrolled into her journal, reading the notes she wrote down a few days ago. Some NPC needed a bunch of leaves to tend to the wounded, while another NPC thought the best defence was a good offense. After memorising those small notes, she opened her book at the "Rune" section.

"Right. Combination of runes for Minor Shielding... check. Combo for the Quillfang spell... check. And emergency combo for the icy awesomeness on my gunblade... check."

Well, she had a few more glyphs and runes available, but she had figured out that those three mostly sufficed for this area. Besides, before she left this place, she'd make sure to learn a few more runes and combinations. And by then she'd likely to good do get a few people to 'party' with.

"Hi, and welcome to Lillend! Good luck out there!"

Caela cringed at the utter cuteness of the voice. Not to mention it suddenly appearing out of nowhere really surprised her. This was her first time logging in, and this was the first thing she heard? Despite the fact that the cuteness made her gag a little, she supposed it wasn't too bad.

Now she just had to figure out where she was and what in the world she was supposed to be doing. These character things came with a map, right? Searching herself for one, she did find a small map, that indicated "you are here". Here being in Everfire, apparently.

Glancing around, she saw a lot of people standing around talking, or using the gateway behind her to go.. wherever they were going. Okay. So she found out where she was, now what was she supposed to do?

Her thoughts were cut short, though, when that same cutesy voice from before started to talk out of nowhere again.

"Server announcement! Tomorrow will mark the start of our first-annual special event! Yay! Be sure to be at Everfire's main square at noon universal time, if you want all the juicy details! The rewards will be super-special, one-of-a-kind items, so don't miss out, okay? Have fun and good luck!"

A special event, huh? Well, that did seem rather interesting, and she would be free tomorrow at the allotted time. Why not? Now all she had to do was find someone who knew what they were doing, and hopefully they would help her out.

She started off, trying to find someone who didn't look particularly busy, but also didn't look like they were hopelessly lost like she was. Oh boy.

____________________________

Aku perked up at the server announcement, grinning happily. This was the first server-wide event the game has had since it began, so the rewards were sure to be amazing. This was the perfect opportunity to get a good party going and possibly help out some of the newer characters. If he wanted to find some nice party members for tomorrow, he'd need to get to a warp gate. Good thing he wasn't too far.

Once he arrived at the warp gate in Valemark, Aku shouted, "Hey! Anyone need party members for the event tomorrow? I'm free to add!!"

Heh. If that didn't get anyone's attention, he didn't know what would. Now just to wait and see if anyone was actually going to take him up on his offer.

Peter was lounging lazily nearly the warp gate in Valemark. He'd been logged on since his shift ended, and was just about dying of boredom. Warp gates were usually a good place to meet up with people, but it was kind of a slow day.

He was just thinking he might log off and try to get some sleep when the special event announcement sounded. He sat up, yawning and ignoring a group of people near by, broadcasting for an alomancer. Their quest was one he'd already done, and he wasn't really interested in a repeat, even if they did sound a bit desperate.

Standing and stretching, Peter flinched when a white haired man showed up near the gate and started shouting about the event.

"Oi! You don't have to shout," Peter said, giving Aku a sleepy look. "We're practically packed like sardines. We can all hear you...." He frowned, realizing just how loud it was, with three hundred conversations going on near the gate. "Uh...nevermind. Shout away."

**

Guess was just leaving an equipment shop when the announcement sounded. "Oooh...event." She smiled deviously, pulling on her new jacket and gloves as she headed for the nearest warp gate. "This sounds fun."

She should probably find a party now so she could be ready for it. She didn't want to wait until the last minute. Her stats were pretty good, but there would probably be a flood of people vying for crew positions, and she didn't want to try to compete with people that were levels higher than she was.

She holstered her new weapon (a bladed gun. Coolest. Thing. Ever.), and started for the warp point which was....good lord. Hella crowded. Shoving her way through the people, she shouted, "Hey! Anyone looking for a decent Holosin for tomorrow's event!?"

"Hi, and welcome to Lillend! Good luck out there!"

Feng growled at this annoying little voice as it spoke to him like it did every...single...time he logged in.

Paul then looked around, he felt his hair, looked around at the world around him, and then reached onto his back and felt the head of his battle axe, it seemed everything was in place. Feng smiles his fangy grin as he realized that he was back in the world again, finally. It had been so long...Actually, it had been less than 12 hours, but it felt like a long time.

Seconds later, the announcement rang about, at first, the voice seemed jarring, but then, Feng listened to what was really being said, and again, he smiled, this was interesting, one-of-a-kind items? He may have to skip out early on work, but there was no way he would miss that.

Feng walked up to the Valemark warp gate and looked around, there were lots of people asking for parties, perhaps he would join one, but he had to make sure that he wasn't in one that would slow him down if the event involved some sort of dangerous quest.

Just as Laïs was about to set foot outside Valemark, she heared that intro voice again. However, this time she said something totally different.

Shortly after, she heared someone shout, asking for party members for the event. Laïs wondered if she'd be up to it. After all, she was but a low level and she guessed the event would require at least a little more than the basis she had right now. Nonetheless, Laïs walked into town to search for the one who had shouted, as she too wanted to participate - even if it was for just a small part.

As she made her way, Laïs considered that shouting back might be a good idea if she wanted to find the person looking for a group.

"Heh. Uhm, low level Rune Caster looking for event party!"
PostPosted: Sat Jun 25, 2011 4:29 pm

Jacob and Arielle both looked at each other and smiled as the announcement went out, this would be an excellent opportunity to find another party, get some good adventures, make some new friends, not to mention get their hands on some one-of-a-kind items!

"People normally look for party members in the square near the warp gate." Jacob explained to his sister.

"Right, then let's go!" Arielle responded, energetically.

The brother/sister duo went over to the warp gate in the middle of town and heard a lot of people shouting about needing a party. After some mild debate between the two, they noticed two people asking if a party needed specific people, but these two needed to find someone other than a rune caster or a holosin.

They then heard a more open invitation, so they ran to that and found a rune master in some kind of argument with some other guy. They walked up to the man (Aku) and tried to get his attention.

"Hey," Jacob said, "I'm an Alomancer and she's a Genimancer, if you're looking for either of us for a party." He asked, hopefully.

Aku turned to the man berating him, albeit sleepily, and laughed with a smirk. "Do you want to group up with me? You are... an Alomancer, right? You kinda look like one, but then again, what do I know?" he asked, though was interrupted by others shouting. Particularly a lady calling out for a party. Too bad she was a rune master, though.

He did wave Lais over, though. Maybe he can help her out and point her out to a crew that did need a rune master. "Hey! Over here!" he called.

As he waited for her to come over, two others approached him, and introduced themselves as an Alomancer and a Genimancer. "I think I already got an Alomancer interested. You know, first come, first serve and all. Buuuut, the Genimancer would be a perfect addition! Hope you don't mind splitting up. It's good to have variety in a team, and two Alomancers are kinda pointless.

"You know, there's a Rune Master coming over here. Maybe you can team up with her. Though, I'd suggest you and that Rune Master go over to Everfire if you can't find anyone else here. More people tend to show up there, especially those looking for parties."

_______________

Caela sighed. She was getting nowhere fast, and a ton of people were starting to show up, not to mention the shouting and chaos going on around her. Ergh, this was all so confusing!

"Hello? Can I get some help here?" Caela called out, wandering around the area aimlessly, so very, hopelessly lost. "Or are all of you just asses?"

Feng looked around, he looked at the time. When was noon standard time where he was? It didn't matter quite then, that wasn't until tomorrow that the event started.

In the mean time, rather than stand around waiting for some party that was worthwhile, he figured he would go around and maybe pick up some supplies to better prepare himself for the event tomorrow, stock up on some better weapons, maybe some other stuff.

Feng forced his way through the crowd, rather rudely actually, in order to get closer to the warp gate. There were shops here, but he could find everything much easier, and possibly cheaper, in Everfire.

He went through the warp gate and found himself in Everfire quite soon. Now it was just time to go to the shops and find all he needed, then maybe he would go out into the wild and start killing some creatures, get himself some experience before the big event.

As he started walking over to the shops, he noticed someone hopelessly shouting for help...Damn it, why was he so nice? Then again, maybe she needed help killing something, here's hoping.

Feng walked up to the girl (Caela) his eyes barely even focused on her, "What do you need help with?" He asked, rather rudely. Still, maybe getting acquainted with other players, rather than just shoving his way past them, would help him out with this event tomorrow.

___________________________________________________________________________

Jacob paused for a moment as the guy talked to them, he was a bit disappointed that he wasn't wanted or needed to assist, but it was true, two Alomancers in one party was kind of pointless.

"Well, I'm sorry to hear that." Jacob said, "But me and my sister do not-" He was suddenly cut off.

"Do not share a brain!" Arielle cut in, "I'd be happy to join your group." She said, looking at the man with a smile, "And thanks for helping my brother."

"Alright," Jacob said, "Thanks for you help man." Jacob said, with no real tone to his voice to suggest he really was grateful, but maybe the Rune Master would be helpful. Of course, they should probably find a striker or something if they did team up.

Peter turned to Aku when the other man spoke to him, after having been distracted by a girl in a metal bikini. "Ah..yeah. I'm an alomancer. Damn good, very dedicated, so and so forth."

He moved a little closer, watching Aku help out a few others, pointing them to some other people who were looking to crew up. "Anyway, I'm Peter. And you are?" He glanced at one of the people Aku was waving over. Huh. Cute girl--probably scary looking in real life. Most female gamers were, in his experience.

Well, and she was probably no where near his real life location. Alas.

**

She heard a girl behind her ask for help, and turned around in time to see a hulking man-thing approach her. And rudely ask what she needed help with. Her troll senses went into instant tingle-mode. She also stepped closer.

"Not everyone here is an a**. Or a hulking man-grouch. What do you need help with? I can try to help you out."

"I'm not exactly a veteran yet, but I've been around a while and I'm pretty good at this whole thing so ask away. If I don't know...Mr. Mountain In Fur Underwear man, probably can."

Not that he was really wearing fur underwear of course (she hoped. Because that would be creepy, and uncomfortable, probably.) But he definitely looked like he should be.

Gaming day, gaming day, today is my gaming day~ Claire was nearly bouncing on her toes as she unlocked her door and let herself inside her apartment. She normally wasn't much of the video game sort, always losing to her firends in any fighter type, or race oriented joyrides in the pixilated world. But today was different. Much different.

Setting her keys on the counter, she scarfed down a quick snack before making herself comfortable in her small living room. When her brother initially invited her to try out this virtual reality game, she had been unsure... but eventually gave in when she decided she needed to "me" time. Alrighty, let's get started... She put on the headset and started to register as a new member. In a jiffy her username and password was all set, after all, like most people said was not a good idea, they were the same, or almost, as everything she'd ever logged into. But what did that matter? This was just a game, right? It wasn't like she'd get that attached to it.

Now character creation... hmmmm, so many options. Hmmm, haire color, brown? No, that's mine. Blond? No, my ex was blond. Purple or green? That's just too odd. Oh, here's a good one... semi-normal, but it has a tad bit of style to it... at least in my opinion.

Now eyes, hmmmm... ahh, what the heck, let's go wierd. Purple. Well... some people have contacts that are like that, so I guess it isn't that wierd... just not really natural. Oh well.

And that was how things went form there, until she saved and was finally dropped into the world.

"Hi, and welcome to Lillend! Good luck out there!"

Claire jolted in her carpeted spot as the unexpected greeting rang through her head. I... should probably turn down the volume now then... heh, that's better. She paused then, for a second, as the announcement for the event distracted her from her surroundings. "Oh, an event... how do I-?" What did one do on an event? She glanced about and noticed a few people, well, more than a few actually, but she wandered to the closest ones to see if she could get any info. "Hey, um.." She looked at the one whom she did not yet know was Aku. "What's going on?"

Laïs walked over to Aku as he beackoned her. She smiled, hoping that she'd be of some use to a party, but when she arrived she realised he kind of looked Rune Master-ish. Laïs wondered... two Rune Masters in a party? That could work, but was it done? After all, this was her first time partying in this game.

When she arrived, she heared Aku speak about Everfire. She had heared of Everfire before, but hadn't been there yet - she had enough quests as it was over here. Mentioning Everfire, though, made her slightly curious on how it actually looked like.

"Hey, hey. Anyone of you looking for a beginning Rune Master?"

She eyed every of the players in the area - Aku, Peter, Jacob, Arielle and Claire who seemed to approach - checking the items they were wearing. She had always envied higher level items, but she was mainly curious how they looked like. You know, matter of knowing what would look good and what not.

"There's an event. The entire server gets to do worldwide stuff alltogether", Laïs replied to Claire, who just arrived as well. "That's all I know though."

Walter kept nervously glancing at his watch, then back to his textbook. The book was far too thick and far too dry a read to possibly keep his attention right now. So the repeated nervous glancing continued for the better part of an hour, with Walter making no appreciable progress on his studying. As soon as the hour struck, he practically leaped out of his desk chair the book and his various papers totally forgotten.

Been looking forward to this all week! He thought as he pulled on the VR headset, and popped his neck as the game loaded up. Walter flew through the opening screens quickly, all his information neatly saved on the harddrive so he could just straight into the action.

"Hi, and welcome to Lillend! Good luck out there!"

"Yeah, hey, Hi you too." He mumbled, half jokingly in response to the standard greeting. He checked his messages, noting that the official event announcement had finally been sent out. Of course, he had already been aware that something had been planned, the messageboard speculation had been tireless. No knowing exactly what was gonna happen until tomorrow though, so no need wasting any energy on it now. It was time to meet Claire!

Now, what was the account name she'd said she was using? Walter thought about it for a few moments before remembering enough to take a stab at it, and looked to see if Claire had logged in. She popped up over near the Valemark Warpgate, so Walter quickly made his way there.

"Hey folks!" he said, approaching the small cluster of people that were already gathered. "Alomancer here, happy to party up as long as you don't mind a plus one I can't leave behind?" Assuming I can find her in this crowd!

Matthew finished running the diagnostics on his system. "Awesome! Alright, Lillend, let's see what you've got for me!"
After a quick boot up screen, the world around him dissolved, and the world of Lillend appeared around him. He was Matthew no longer. Now, he was the cool, confident Gunslinger, Angel Devereaux. He wasn't sure why he'd chosen the French-sounding last name, he just figured it sounded cool.
He looked down at himself. "Now this... THIS is sexy."

"Hi! And welcome to Lillend! Good luck out there!" an almost sickeningly cute voice chimed.

"Why thank you, anonymous voice." He joked. He looked around him and saw a good crowd of people. This is going to be good.

"Hey! Gunslinger here! Anybody want to party up and get this show on the road?"
