Basic Runes
These runes make the base of future Rune combinations. On their own they are very weak and rarely useful, but combined they might make potent spells.
FEHU - "Wealth"???
URUZ - "Auroch"This rune is about pure physical strength. An excellent rune to buff up the Berserker or any physical class.
Cast Self: Temporarily grants a minor boost to strength.
Cast Enemy: Temporary minor drain of strength, if succesful.
THURISAZ - "Thorn"This Rune of Shielding vengefully hurts those who attack the protegee.
Cast Self: Inflicts minor damage to attackers.
ANSUZ - "Ancestral God"The Rune of Insight and Communication.
Cast Self: Your spells are slightly more potent.
Combination: Your spells are slightly more potent.
RAIDO - "the Chariot"The Rune of Traveling allows one to travel faster.
Cast Self: Grants a slight bonus to running speed.
KENAZ - "Light"This rune will bring light in your dark moments.
Cast Self: Your weapon's next attack does Light-type damage.
Cast Self: You summon a small light allowing you to see in the dark up to 10 ft. Great to use as a small torch or campfire.
Cast Enemy: Your Rune spell inflicts Light damage upon your enemy.
Combination: The Rune spell becomes a Light-type.
GEBO - "Gift"No Runecaster should forever level up alone. A good Rune Caster is one that can share his spells with allies.
Combination: Allows the 'Cast Self' abilities of runes to become 'Cast Ally' abilities - in other words, you can buff your friends now.
WUNJO - "Joy"Your safeguard against riddles as 'ye who pass this gate, abandon all hope'.
Cast Self: Grants a slight resistance against loss of morale.
HAGALAZ - "Hail"This rune is known to spread out the effects of your spells.
Combination: Your spells now have an 'Area of Effect'. In other words, your spells affect multiple enemies or allies.
NAUTHIZ - "Need"Looking like a scythe, this rune bestows the 'touch of death' upon enemies.
Cast Enemy: Your enemy's speed is slightly reduced.
ISA - "Ice"Known as the Rune of Stagnation, Isa offers plenty of use in different ways.
Cast Self: Your weapon's next attack does Ice-type damage.
Cast Enemy: You strike at an enemy with an Ice-type spell.
Cast Floor: You summon a wall on the target location. It blocks LOS, but is easily destroyable.
Combination: Your Rune spell becomes Ice-type.
JERA - "Year"The cycle of life and seasons creates the biggest transformation within.
Cast Self: Your HP and MP are switched.
Combination: If lacking the appropriate runes, you can turn an elemented spell into its opposing element. As example: Ice-type becomes Fire-type.
EIHWAZ - "Yew Tree"The vitality of nature flows through those wielding this rune.
Cast Self: You receive a slight bonus to your vitality (max HP).
Cast Self: Your weapon's next attack does Earth-type damag.
Cast Enemy: Your foe receives Earth-type damage.
Combination: Your Rune spell becomes Earth-type
PERTHRO- "The Cup"A mysterious rune with many meanings relating to the 'unseen', and 'unknown'.
Cast Self: Gives a slight bonus to Stealth.
Cast Self: Receive a minor bonus to Stealth detection.
ALGIZ - "Protection"This Rune of Shielding offers protection rather than revenge.
Cast Self: You receive a minor resistance to physical attacks.
SOWILO - "The Sun"Embodiment of victory and hope, the Sowilo rune is sure to burn down opponents.
Cast Self: Your weapon's next hit does Fire-type damage.
Cast Enemy: You inflict Fire-type damage to your enemies.
Combination: Your spell becomes a Fire-type spell.
TIWAZ - "The Sky God"While it won't allow you to fly, it will allow you to be swift as the wind.
Cast Self: Receive a minor bonus to your Dexterity.
Cast Self: Your weapon's next attack does Wind-damage.
Cast Enemy: You inflict Wind-type damage.
Combination: Your spell becomes Wind-type.
BERKANO- "Birch"Useful, but less effective than the spells of Alomancers. Taking the powers of this tree, you slowly regenerate health over time.
Cast Self: Recover a slight amount of health over time.
Cast Enemy: Inflict minor damage over time.
EHWAZ - "Horse"Another Rune of Traveling, Ehwaz gives its power to mounts rather than to people.
Cast Mount: Your mount's speed is slightly increased.
MANNAZ - "Mankind"Useful, but less effective than the healing of an Alomancer, Mannaz immediatly heals rather than healing over time.
Cast Self: Heal a slight amount of health.
Cast Enemy: Inflicts a small amount of magic damage.
Cast Floor: You summon a minion to your side that helps you with certain tasks.
LAGUZ - "Water"Elemental Rune, this rune will change the element of your spells.
Cast Self: Your weapon's next attack inflicts Water-damage.
Cast Enemy: You damage your enemy for a small amount of Water-damage.
Combination: Your Rune spells become Water-type.
INGWAZ - "The Earth God"You won't become a god with this rune, but you're close to hitting like one.
Cast Self: Your physical attacks do slightly more damage.
DAGAZ - "Day"The second rune that grants protection against morale.
Cast Self: You fill yourself with hope, boosting your morale.
Cast Enemy: If targetting an undead, you lower the enemy's morale.
OTHALA - "Ancestral Property"With the ancestors at your side, you have a deeper pool to cast from.
Cast Self: You raise your maximum MP.
