Are there any craft people amongst us? I am a 2nd generation witch. I think that one very good thing about home school is that I don't have to sit thru church of England school assemblies anymore or listen to my religious education teacher tell me there are only 6 main religions in the UK and Witchcraft is not one of them. Witchcraft was the original religion on this island and it still exists today. I'd say that makes it a main UK religion!!!

*raises hand* ooh ohh me! me!

i'm homeschooling so my kids won't get picked on for being raised pagan. i was a budding pagan and the school was so ignorant of that. in their eyes i could only be jewish or christain. one teacher had a fit because i said god was a cat. my mom said god can be any form you want him/her/it to be and i chose a kitty. she was just mad because i didn't accept her god died for my suposed sins.

Merry meet Jaithien!
I constantly raised the subject of the craft when i was at school earlier this year and my mom gives a yearly seminar on witchcraft for the 11th grade there but still my english teacher told me it was dangerous to tell the truth if you are a witch. Now that I am out again life without jesus is just fine. I didnt know who or what he was til I was 7 anyway as my mom forgot to tell me! It's a gruesome story anyway!

i was raised jewish... its funny i didn't know who Jesus was either. i figured he was like god's neighbor or something. i also thought christ was his last name. my parents didn't tell me jack about him yet yelled at me when i thanked him once. i was just repeating something i saw in tv. yeah he has a pretty gruesome tale but no more then mother Bertah or Innanna.

Hey, I don't like how you don't have atheism on your list. I feel left out. gonk

Aw, it stinks that you actually have to go to a religious class even in a public school there.. I would spend the entire period muttering gibberish and giving people dirty looks ninja ...

Hehe, I like the "god is a cat" idea biggrin ... If there was a god, why wouldn't it be a cat? lol

.. It would certainly explain how cats are allowed to just laze around all day, having everyone do things for them... >_>

any way i only took religous school in temple. the public and private school teachers snuck that in all their own. *sighs* and i couldn't prove a thing.

I've always found Paganism interesting, but I'm Agnostic.

I variously refer to myself as a witch or a pagan. I hate labels, but those are the two that most closely apply.

I was interested to learn, a few years ago, that I have an ancestress who was tried, convicted and condemned as a witch, in the Salem witch hunts. She wasn't executed, though. Died in jail. Funny: the aunt who uncovered this ancestor was hoping to trace back to British royalty. Pfft. I far prefer our witch.

Yaarr. I don't worship anything, but I do believe in a higher power. That would make me.. something, but I can never spell it corectly. mad

I've been looking into studying religion, just for studying purposes. Because it seems like every religion has a story, and a story behind it. I wanna read that story. Pagan religions confuse me, though. I never quite understand what they're saying.. is it witchcraft? Do you guys like trees or something? I reeeally know nothing of that religion. Proably because my dad is very christianish.. he flipped out when he saw some earthy stuff and candles and shiz in my older brother's room.

-shrug-

Thank you for reminding me, though. I've been wanting to study religions for awhile now, never got around to doing so. Library; here I come. : D

it depends soley on the pagan my friend. some worship egyptain gods, some worship norse gods, some are hindu, some create their gods, some just worship nature.... pagan is an umbrella term for non abrahamic religons.
