Does anyone here try to RP on mmorpgs. o_O I've had mixed success finding rp on mmorpgs before.

MUDs, MOOs, MUSHs... text-based (as opposed to graphically founded) tend to have a better player base more conducive to RPing if you pick the right ones.

I used to try pick-up RPs in WoW, they never turned out very well though sweatdrop

From what I remember hearing from a friend, Unless you were on a RP server in WoW, you were ridiculed for attempting to do so. Other than that it's been incidental and pick-up RPing in PSO some years back. Androids were pretty fun to play.
Otherwise, It seems like MMORPGs generally harbor an atmosphere that stands against the RP part of the G.
