hardy does nothing good and nothing bad for the caterpie.
careful increases sp. def while lowering p. atk so it works fairly well for geodude.
quiet increases sp.atk and lowers speed. not really the best for a chansey of a snubull
bashful is just like hardy and does nothing good or bad for the slakoth
modest increases sp.atk and lowers atk. which isnt really the best for a doduo.
