But then again, from the look of it, I'm the only one who thinks so. I guess I'm the only person in the world who wanted a movie with giant battling robots, and not to focus the entire movie on the misadventures of a minor character who becomes some sort of Mary Sue.

But everything I've seen from my friends is like "this is the most awesome movie ever." I'm embarrassed by my friends... Plus, even on gaia, there's lots of positive "reviews" for it. It just pisses me off that I'm becoming a hipster by default.

Update, saw this horrible smear on the awesomeness that is Transformers. I second your review. In a form of protest, I watched the "Return of Optimus Prime" episodes. I'm planning on watching the original Transformers movie (the 1985 animated one) as well to make up for the terrible slight Bay has caused on the world. In another note that is relatively on the same vein, there are a lot of shows that I'll see where I'll go "man that was awesome...I wonder if they'd do a live action version for it." Bay's Transformers and the like just make me depress that if they ever adapted anything that I like, it'll just turn out like mainstream s**t. If you've seen the robot design for Voltron, then you'll understand what I mean.

Yeah Prime looked good in 3. Let's face it though, the franchise was screwed from the 1st movie. Least there was no mudflap and F**king skids!
