Invites are still currently closed, but if you drop me your e-mail via PM (or here if you're comfortable with it), I'll try to keep an eye out and send invites when they open. Hopefully that's soon, because while Google+ has tons of potential, right now it's simply boring without any social network of which to speak.

I wantee, but Google are pretty insistent that it's not ready for prime time. I remember years ago posting up on an old emulation forum for my gmail invite. Managed to get my full name with middle initial. Awesome.
