The only thing I do every day without fail is daily prayers- I even mouthed them when I couldn't talk because of a sore throat.
For me- everything else can have things come up and I'll put it on the back burner, but not my prayers.

I try to follow the Eightfold Path and the The Five Precepts in everything I do. That means I generally try to think if whether what I'm about to say or do will reduce or create suffering.

Not to sound like a total a**, but - is that difficult? Has it become a part of your life now that you don't have to remind yourself to do, or is it something you still have to pause for?

Sanguina Cruenta Is it important to say them aloud? To me it is- but it's for personal reasons and nothing that has to do with overarching religious beliefs. I like saying prayers outloud because the act of saying them changes the world around me in at least 1 way- I think it changes the world in more than 1 way- but knowing that my body did something actively that vibrated air molecules and made a sound matters to me.

That's interesting! I don't often say prayers aloud, but maybe it's something I should try. I think I tend to concentrate more on my voice than on sort of mentally contacting deity when I pray aloud which would be an issue and would necessitate a repeated prayer.

Maybe you could practice your prayers until your voice is second nature? I've been saying the same prayers every day for years- so even if my voice was rocky at first, by now it's the same as saying it in my head.

That's what I mean by repeated prayer - if I'm wondering what to say aloud or I pause I'll stumble. If I do it in my head I drop words and don't worry about it. I'll have to write some more and then perhaps integrate them into my practise at least once a week or something.

Oh, I'm not perfect, and need to pause when, say, someone says something that hurt me, and I feel the urge to lash out at them, but it does make me more self-aware of my raising and falling feelings than I would be.Yes, I mess up sometimes and let my emotions get the better of me, but it's not as often as before I started learning about Buddhism.

How do you practise your spirituality as an aspect of your daily life?
LaVeyan Satanism revolves around atheism. So there isn't really anything spiritual to practice unless if you're into rituals, which I don't do yet but am really interested in them.
Do you integrate it into particular activities?
No not really, the only thing I would integrate in particular activities is it's philosophy. Like I said before, I'm interested in rituals too and that would definitely be something else I would practice but I still don't know much about them.
Do you express your religion in the things you do, and do others notice that it is a spiritual act?
In LaVeyan Satanism, there are only a few things I "practice" from it on a daily basis. The first is "Life, the great indulgence; Death, the great abstinence" which pretty much tells me that I have this one life to live so make the most out of it. Live life to the fullest and that's what I do. I do what I do so when I lay on my deathbed, I can look back and be proud of my life and really feel like I accomplished something. If something will make me happy, then I'm going to pursue it.
The second basically says don't turn the other cheek. If someone messes with me, then I defend myself. If someone hurts me, then I hurt them back until they get the picture to not mess with me anymore. If I feel like revenge is worth it then I will take my revenge, but sometimes it's not worth it because the other person is a pathetic piece of ***** and a big waste of time. However, that doesn't mean I go starting stuff. I don't like causing drama and I find no shame in living the quiet life. I live my life to the fullest within respectful, safe, sane, and law abiding boundaries.
