CURRENT RP: Summer Heat!
*Each pack will have 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners*

1st prize: 3 skill slots
2nd prize: 2 skill slots
Everyone else: 1 skill slot

Torz Pack Prompts:
Prompt 1: Summer days can be long and hot in the Torz territory, without dense forests to keep them cool, the Torz have decided to take a trip out to the Quince Lakeside. Some fun in the sun and a refreshing swim should really help get through this summer heat. What does your pet do while on this little trip to the lake? (think of it as a trip to the beach for humans XD)

Prompt 2: With Summer comes the race to gather food and store it away for the long winter months. In order to get a head start for fall's collection some of the pack have been asked to take a hunt and try to take down a large prey animal and return it to the den. You've been asked to join the team (even if only to practice), how's the hunt go? What animal does the group decide to hunt, and is your mission a success?

Duthsy Pack Prompts:
Prompt 1: The Duthsy pack spend much of their summer tending to the delicate and extensive orchard which lines their territory with the Zarkails. Today a group is going to go out and collect some of the early rip fruits for the pack. this might seem like an easy enough mission, but when going this close to Zarkail territory, anything is bound to happen.

Prompt 2: Summer can get aggressively hot in the Duthsy's open fields, luckily the pack has a deep underground den that provides shelter from this heat, but unfortunately someone has to go out and get the groups next meal. You're charged with the task of catching a prey meal for these peaceful wolves. The only place to go... the open fields where the deer and bison roam. The group your with isn't the best of fighters, but all wolves have their natural instincts to hunt and take down an animal, but if you stay out too long the group will risk dehydration and heat exhaustion. Try to get this done and back to the cool den as quickly as possible.

Zarkail Pack Prompts:
Prompt 1: The dense forest keeps the Zarkails protected from the more intense summer heat, but it's always around this time of year that the Zarkails tend ot get more aggressive with each other. With the heat and tension running high, any of the Zarkails get into fights and even challenges to the death at the blood grounds. Are you a simple witness or perhaps victim (or perhaps instigator!) of this sweltering heat?

Prompt 2: As with all the other packs, the Zarkails have a hunting party ready to go and get them a summer meal. The forest here is vast and dangerous, your team had best be up to the challenge of some of these more dangerous carnivorous predator/prey types creatures. Does your team succeed in your trip, how's the pack react? is there enough for a proper feast that might even cool off some of the packs more aggravated tempers?

Rogue/Loner Prompts:
Prompt 1: The wastelands are a desert, and this is made abundantly clear during the hot summer season. As a rogue, you have to find some kind of way to get shelter form this heat, or risk dehydration, heat exhaustion which will surely lead to death! You may have to go as far as acquiring another animals shelter, maybe even fight for it? What's your solution to this summer problem, do you make allies, enemies, does someone take pity on you, or perhaps you don't find any solution and finally resort to joining a pack!? Summer can be hard on a wolf, especially for a loner.

Prompt 2: You're in need of food. Raid either the Torz or Zarkail pack's Lands for food. Just as you're wrapping up your catch, you are noticed by a group. Who are they? Do you run and leave your meal? Take it with you? Do you escape, have to fight? How does this end for you?

Pack: Duthsy
Prompt 1: Orchard Tending

The orchard where sizzling hot in the summer sun, and the beetles and bugs made a dull hissing sound that filled the air with an unpleasant reminder that there would be many bugs for the Duthsy's to magic away from the tender trees.

Many of the wolfs on this mission where elderly or females with some young ones, who would do what they could by plucking weeds, watering or placing magical protection on the plants. The spells where simple and even the Duthsy youths had mastered it, leaving the elders to conserve their anima for bigger tasks. A few pack members had been charged with puling the early ripened fruit, this was usually left to the winged wolves and a partner who carried a basket for the fruit to fall in.

Ray had been assigned to the plucking task, thoguh he had no wings, he was a swift and sly fox and found it very easy to leap up from branch to branch through the trees, while his mother, Robin, waited with a basket below and would pick up the fruit he dropped.

Ray had not been excited to come out on this venture, he would have rather been hunting with his warrior buddies, but his mother had already decided they would be helping the elders in the orchard. Ray rushed through the leaves, trying to make quick work of his section of the orchard, swiping a paw at this apple, and pulling that pear down between his teeth. He was like an orange and purple flash high up in the green branches. He took a moment to look back at his work, and saw his mother was sooo far behind him. Huffing with aggravation he frowned and figured he'd have to wait for her, as she slowly and carefully picked up each fruit and places it delicately in the basket on her back.

While he waited ray decided to see how far up he could climb, he snaked his way up one of the larger orchard trees and stood tall in the open breeze high above the ground. He enjoyed the wind in his fur, rustling it about, giving him a strange kind of mohawk. He looked out around the orchard and saw how slow everyone was, making their was bit by bit through the large orchard. Up to the north he was the dark tree-line of the Zarkails forest. As he watched the looming dark branches sway, he noticed a small group lurking from the brush. Ray's hair stood on end as he saw the four large Zarkails pack wolves slinking toward the orchard.

Ray leapt to the ground and called out in a cracking voice to warn the Duthsy's of an impending attack. His crackling voice was not quiet a howl, but more of a bark as he rushed to meet the Zarkails head-on. His swift legs made quick work of the distance and he soon found himself at the edge of the orchard, watching the four intimating Zarkails bombing their way past the fox. Ray was shocked by their strength and size, but more then anything annoyed they had ignored him as a significant challenge. He whipped around and snagged the last oe by his tail, digging in with sharp and nasty teeth. The wolf yowled and swung his body around to see what had caught him. The other three kept on ahead, to their prize, the baskets of ripped Duthsy fruit.

Ray had no chance of stopping all of them, but he could try his best to stop the one in front of him. The huge wolf snarled down and took a bite for Ray, but was too slow. Ray pulled away fast from the wolf, bring the end of the beats tail with him. The wolf howled even louder as he watched the end of his tail separate from his body. Enraged the black creature barreled toward Ray, who was distracted by all the fur and blood in his mouth, spitting it to the ground. The wolf pinned Ray under one massive paw and like a viper snapped his large jaws down toward Rays head. Ray jerked enough for the beast to miss his face, but the creature snagged his ear and ripped at it roughly. Panicked by the lose of hir left ear Ray began to lose control, and his anima took over. The creature was slammed with an unseen force, sucking the wind from his gut. Ray was able to stand, shakily and sent a second wave toward the beats, slashing at it. The black wolf buckled under the attack, a long and deep scar running across it's back. The wolf did not move, but only shivered and whimpered at the pain.

Ray moved forward, his emotions surging through him, angry and frustration pumping through his vains as he attacked with his claws and teeth, the wolf only batted weakly at the fox, completely defeated.

"STOP!' Ray heard the voice, and his growling vicious attack subsided. Robin cuffed Ray gentle on the nose as she pulled the fox away from it's prey. "You will kill him! That is not the Duthsy way."

Finally able to see past his enemy, Ray saw the remaining three Zarkails wolves sitting beside the Duthsy elders quietly listening and chatting with the wise older wolves. The Duthsy where giving the Zarkails enough fruit to last them the summer, giving each member two baskets to carry back to their pack. Ray was awe-struck, perplexed. "They are Zarkails! They'd as soon kill you as look at you!" Ray snarled at the three, who could not hear his small voice.

Robin frowned at her boy, "They are animals, as we are, we all need food to survive. The Zarkails have a very hard time finding suitable food for their young as their forest is filled with dangers. It is a small price we pay to save the life of others Ray. You should learn that just because they're from a rival pack, these wolves have never personally done us any harm, and nor have the pups they are trying to feed." Ray was ashamed. As usual his emotions got the better of him and he had been judgmental about why the wolves had not attacked right away. Ray stared at the black wolf he had beaten so severely. The wolf had acted in defense, if not for Ray biting off the end of his tail, the wolf would have had no reason to attack Ray.

An elder approached the foxes, frowning at the injured wolf, "We will do what we can to heal him, but he will not last with the Zarkails anymore. His spine is too injured. We will have to bring him back with us." The elder wolf summoned two more grey wolves who all worked quietly mending the bloody wolves wounds. The Zarkail wolves left quietly agreeing to tell Ofir that he had died trying to obtain the fruit. With that the Duthsy wolves began the trip home, with baskets and baskets of fruit, and a new ward.

For Ray, his torn ear would be the constant reminder that he should never judge others or attack unless provoked, and most importantly never to use such destructive magic, at least until he'd mastered it. Ray took on the task of re-rehabilitating the black wolf, knowing that it was all his fault the beast was in such miserable condition.
