Cerberus: With these words we come and then we go *He sways as he sings, wobbling as he swerves between the trees.* Goodbye! *He holds his head high, barely able to see through the mess of hair that's made it's way in front of his face. He grins to himself, pleased with how he's managed to get this song so easily, until his voice cracks on a note.*

Zydra: *Dainty nibbling on a strawberry, she picks her head up at the sound of a voice not too far off. It's familiar, but not one she can fully recall.* What a lovely singing voice. *Forgetting her snack, she turns and wades through the underbrush until she sees the figure walking about and winces as the note loses key. But that herla, she would know it anywhere.* Cerberus, my dear. You have grown quite handsomely!

Cerberus: *He rears up, startled by Zydra's appearance. With a toss of his head he calms, able to recognize her now that he could see.* Hey! *He purrs, pleased, but embarrassed that she heard his mistake.* I suppose I have. *He snorts, rolling his eyes.* Look too much like Dad though. *He sighs and shrugs, nothing he could do about that. But perhaps Zydra could help him.* You know a lot about my parents right?

Zydra: *Chuckles softly, so he was still on about his father* You look more like your mother to me with that beautiful dark hair, but that's just my opinion. *Happily snaking her tail behind her she flicks her ears forward with interest.* Yes, I've known both of your parents almost as long as I have lived here. Why do you ask?

Cerberus: *Smiles slightly, letting his hair fall across his face again.* Mmm.. I have his markings though. *He bites his lip, recalling what Juniper told him.* Well, I heard a lot of bad things about Mom...

Zydra: Well, of course you're going to have something of his. But no matter, what is this about your mother? Miss Amber has made lots of enemies because of her brash personality, but she is quite the wonderful herla. *Steps forward to give him a quick reassuring nuzzle, it's been a while since she has seen him and she doesn't want to offend him too badly by still thinking he's a child.* So what have you heard? I can help straighten some of them out.

Cerberus: Too bad about that. *He snorts and mutters. Though he cared less about his father now that he was older, able to understand a bit why his father enjoyed art.* Really? Because I was talking to this hind and she was saying that Mom wasn't real because she steals parts from prettier herla and stuff... *He grits his teeth, relaxing into the nuzzle, but still vexed by the memories he was recalling.*

Zydra: *Steps back, rather shocked at this comment.* What? *Flattens her ears back.* Who said such at thing? If both you and your siblings are as beautiful as Ms. Amber then she hasn't been stealing anything. *Sighs, shaking her head as she tries to dismiss the remark.* She hasn't changed a bit since I first met her, physically that is. It's probably just a rumor some jealous herla started.

Cerberus: *He grunts, pawing at the dirt. Should he tell? He was starting to dislike Juniper less when she introduced him to music.* Some pink hind I met in the woods... She said that mom was an ugly freak show. *He snorts.* I told her off. *He lets out a sigh of relief, nodding.* She hasn't changed... That's good. *He smiles* You're most definitely right. Thank you.

Zydra: *Utterly concerned by how much this appeared to be hurting him she leans in again to nose him behind the ear.* If she said such an ill thing about your mother then the rest of her story must be false. Miss Amber is a beautiful herla, and while a tad brash she is very kind and loving. *Laughs, knowing full well just how hard this would be to believe from an outsider.* Your mother just has a particular way of showing that she cares, but she really is a good herla.

Cerberus: *He grins.* I know. I told Juniper that, she argued against me. *He huffs, not realized he just let the name slip. He glances back at Zydra and tilts his head.* I haven't seen you in a while... Where have you been?

Zydra: Ah, I see. I do not know this herla but I would suggest not taking everything she says in the future for face value. *At the question of her whereabouts she ducks her head slightly, finding a rock next to her foot very interesting* I have.. been ah.. Merely about, you see. Taking care of other fawns and the like.. Well they aren't fawns anymore. And there's Dio to look after when he isn't in the water. *Peeks her eyes up at him, her cheeks flushing purple* Ah, an-and what about you? Since when did you have such a lovely voice?

Cerberus: Oh? Those fawns you told me about? *He flicks his ears, enjoying the soft "woosh" of air through the gauges.* You haven't introduced me to them yet. *He tilts his head, following her line of sight to the pebble, but he quickly looks away. Rocks were boring, but hey, if that's what Zydra liked...* Dio... I haven't met him either. *Huffs a bit, knowing he needs to meet more herla.* Is he a fawn that he needs to be taken care of? *He snorts, humming a bit to himself.* Juniper actually taught me a little, the rest I learned from my guardian. I'm really not that good... Yet.

Zydra: Well I'll be sure to introduce you if I ever see them again. I wouldn't be surprised if they're off exploring or something. A-and Dio is a.. very good friend of mine, he's an adult. A-and the summer sun is bad on his skin. B-but enough about him. *Chuckles nervously.* Your voice was very nice though, you're going to be a wonderful singer. Perhaps I can introduce you to a few herla I know who are also musically inclined.

Cerberus: Uh huh... *Nods slowly and stares at her for a moment.* You're talking funny, you alright? *Peers at her for a moment. Maybe she was sick? She did turn a bit purple for a while there.* Thanks, I know. *He puffs out his chest and grins.* I would love the meet the crazy music loving bitches. *His eyes widen as his tail wags excitedly.* I didn't know there was that many of them.. *He clears his throat* Of course, I'm going to be the best of them all.

Zydra: *Clears her throat* I'm fine, thank you though. *At least now she was.* Music loving bi-... *Smiles, ah~ the wonders of youth.* There are two or three that I can somewhat remember and though I don't know if you will like their style I'm sure you can learn a few pointers from them. *Eyes him critically.* Are you sure you have what it takes to be the best? Not that I'm doubting you, I just want to make sure you're up for it. All the fans and such. *Oh, she knew he could handle that, he was Amber's kid after all.*

Cerberus: *Stomps his hooves a little impatiently.* If I don't like they're style I'll be sure to tell them. *He snickers, not wanting to agree that he could learn, even if he knew it was true. He was far too proud to do something like that.* Of course! *He huffs, standing tall.* I'll fight them off if I don't enjoy bathing in their adoration! *He chuckles to himself, prancing in place.* If you're not a musician, what are you?

Zydra: But I'm sure you would have too much fun, surrounded by so man fans~ And that just goes to show how much more you are like your mother than your father. *She giggled, oh the mental image of Calix being surrounded in an adoring crowd was just too funny.* Ah, I'm just.. me.. Well. I used to be a dancer. And I sang some, but not as well as you. But now I just prefer to live a quite life.

Cerberus: *He tilts his head, thinking it over.* I haven't met many herla... So I really wouldn't know. *He snorts.* But if they pull my hair or something I'll kick their asses. *He sneers slightly, before giving her a surprised look. His tail wags excitedly.* A dancer and a singer? Could you sing something for me?

Zydra: Oh, no. No, it's been much too long. *Ducks her head again, utterly embarrassed by the request* I don't remember any of the songs, honestly. And I wasn't the best, I mainly just danced and let my elder sisters sing.

Cerberus: *Edges closer and noses her, whining softly.* come on, I want to hearrrrrrrrrr. *He nudges her side, curious as to how well she sings*

Zydra: I-I. W-well. I could.. surely remember something. *Oh, she was a sucker for such a pleading act. To her, Cerberus was still a fawn and when a fawn wanted something a fawn got it.* C-can you hear.. *Takes a deep breath to steady herself and lets off a very soft but clear tone.* Can you hear the calling, of the raving wind and water? Ah.. *Stops abruptly and frowns.* That's all I remember, I'm sorry.

Cerberus: *beams at her, ecstatic* Wonderful! *He jumps in place, hair flying wildly about.* You're very good, regardless of your poor memory. *He snickers.* It feels good, right?

Zydra: *Startled by his reaction she steps back but slowly grins, utterly happy at his response.* Yes, I will admit I miss it. But I do hum quite a bit to make up for the words when I'm alone. *Steps forward and noses his wild hair back into somewhat submission.*

Cerberus: *He takes a step back from her to peer at her, suspicious.* So why don't you do it anymore? *He pouts and tosses his head, to mess up his hair again.* it's untamable. *sticks out his tongue.*

Zydra: *Chuckles.* Sorry, it's a bad motherly habit. *Slowly her happy mood turns gloomy.* I cannot, I just can't. It's a reason why I left my home, a very bad thing happens when I sing. I have never been able to learn how to sing without doing it. I'm sorry, I must sound so vague but I promised myself I'd never do it again so I just can't sing. It's just so.. *Starts to shake, curling her tail around her back leg.*
