Located somewhere in the woods between Hogwarts and London, the Brammley cottage sits settled where a family of small animals once were. Too bad for them, now they'll have to make do with the area's new resident; Jessica Brammley. A 7th year transfer student to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and hoping to excel in all classes she had run away from home for the simple reason that her family had bored her to death. The last academy she was at was all girls and though she didn't bother caring which gender she had sex with men simply livened up her life. Hence the need to move. Well quite honestly that was Jess, her alter ego's personality that let her leave home, but that's getting off topic. Welcome, to the Brammely Cottage.

Things packed: Nope. Showered: Nope. Parents permission: Nope.

This was perfect, she had left on a whim by Jess and now Jessica was regretting it. That was one thing she didn’t like when Jess interfered with her life’s decisions like this. However the cottage had been bought, built, and her clothes were on their way. It was only a shot ride on broom to the cottage in the outskirts of England. Protected by magic and the shitload of trees no one should be able to find her which was the way she liked it. At least Jess knew that much or perhaps just wanted to ******** with her. It didn’t matter really, at least not yet. With a soft pat she was off the ground from the front of her parents house and was on her way to the cottage.

It had been boring in the first place and Jess was only looking after her so it’s not like she couldn’t thank her for it. It was a strange feeling to come back to being Jessica. While Jess was out it was purely Jess unless there were conflicting emotions that allowed both to be ‘out’. But other than those circumstances Jessica had no idea what was happening or going on until she came back to herself at which time she’d ask what happened or just let it go. Basically she would never know what Jess did until she asked or was told. Kind of a downer when it came to parties and such but sometimes she wished no one told her was Jess did.

With a sigh Jessica landed in front of the cottage and walked up to the painting on the door. It was a middle aged lady with long black hair dressed in red, happily sitting on a rocking chair as she stroked the mane of a lion beside her. ’Password.’ The lady in the painting asked.

“Urinam pedum rinocerotis”

The woman nodded and the door opened slowly. “Thanks.” Jessica said softly and entered the larger-than-need-be cabin. To her, a cabin was a one or two room house with a bed, bathroom, and kitchen, the kitchen which would be attached to the bedroom. But no apparently to Jess it was this large thing she didn’t have the money for without mum’s help. After moving to the top floor and placing her broom down she switched the television on.

England’s Got Talent. A man juggling his toy cat which happened to be on fire… oh wait that was an accident. New channel, new channel, new channel, porn, new ch- back to porn. It was free in this place apparently and a wicked grin spread across her face as she removed her clothes. Jess was out. "Come now, Jessica, I'll help you release that tension~" The devilish girl slid onto the bed with ease, beginning to indulge herself in the release she could feel she needed.

___

An hour later Jessica was in the living room with her Owl, Yasil, just petting him as she wrote invitations to a house warming party. Jess had left a note on the bed. "Enjoy the release? wink " No. She didn't remember it, and that was the relationship she had with Jess, no more than an annoyance usually but an essential part of her when it came down to it.

Putting her attention back on Yasil she smiled. He was so smart. As there was the magical barrier Yasil knew only to deliver the message to those inside it, to let them read it, retie it and then move to the next house.
After writing the note and making sure the bow was tied in a perfect bow she sent Yasil off, hoping at least one person would show.

‘Hello neighbor, I am having a housewarming party. Please bring your brooms as there might be a small game of broom-tag. My house in the new cottage on the lake. 8pm-12pm. Everyone is invited.’

Lucas- Gryffindor

Lucas tiptoed nearer towards the cottage, his eyes wide and fearful. He stayed behind a tree, watching it. There was someone inside, it was late at night and he could see lights on. He could also see the close to full moon above as if warning him, making his stomach clench and his head pound. He was apprehensive...he'd always been so hated and looked down upon. He didn't even know this person. He was completely alone. So he just stood there, walking a bit forwards then backwards, leaves crunching under his feet.

He stood waiting for quite a while, as if expecting the person inside to sense him in the woods and come and greet him. He wondered what his parents would say if they could see him now...they'd probably be furious. He wondered also, who would be in the house. Loads of people? One person, maybe as lonely as he is? Older, or younger? Girl, or boy? He was often mistaken for someone who's 19 or 20, give or take a year. No one believed him when he said he was still in school and 16, his face looked too mature. It wasn't that he had wrinkles or lines yet, but he knew that he would, far before any of his friends. Wait...no he didn't have friends..far before kids his age. He also used to have blue eyes, but now they had a gray, older look to them. It was like his condition sped up time and he was trying to hold it back...

After Yasil had left she had almost nothing to do and pulled her wand out. "Accio violin." Her beautiful, black polished violin with enchanted strings. Unbreakable. Her mother had bought it as a gift for her in her 1st year and by now she was a prodigy in the muggle world. It was dark out now and besides the crickets outside she heard nothing. This was more boring than at home at this point, and to think Jess had brought her away from home to this place. How was this less boring? Shrugging Jessica put the chin rest up to her chin and held the neck tight, plucking one string. Perfectly tuned already, and lifted the bow before grazing it across the strings, beginning to play her favorite melody. The music danced through the building and into the forest, startling those animals that were asleep.

It was moments like these she enjoyed the most- the peacefulness of the earth as it listened to her song, how the notes rang out against the walls of her house and the ever quite air. It was beautiful and relaxed her mind. But there was always a small problem and that was Jess, she liked to finish the performance with a long string of improvisational fast fiddling. In moments her alter ego had pushed through and taken over- the last few seconds being cut off with a smirk and the flick of the bow. Her fingers moved quickly over the strings just as her bow did and by the time she finished the whole forest had stopped moving. But something was off.. it was too quiet.

With a sneer Jess put the violin down and jumped down from the upper floor to the ground outside. "Who's there?" She called, a small smirk on. Ohh how she loved these types. The ones who hide and act all shy, bashful, scared. It was so cute to torment them. "Don't be shy, I don't bite.." The girl chuckled and flipped her hair back. Whoever was out there would prove to be very entertaining.

Lucas- Gryffindor

Lucas was just about to give up hope on seeing another person out here when a lovely sound began to come from the house. It made his heart feel lighter, he felt elated and joyful, for the first time in these woods. It was such a comforting sound, the way it echoed in the very depths of his body and soul. He began to sway to the music without even realizing it. But then, the music stopped. There was a deadly quiet that pierced him like an icy knife and he couldn't move. His head was pounding and the happy feeling that was keeping him in his own mind vanished. The moon was glowing up above and he resisted the urge to howl at it, swallowing his voice back. It isn't full... He told himself angrily. Just calm down...You're Lucas...not a monster...just stay...calm...

He heard the person in the house calling to him and jumped. He hadn't expected anyone to notice he was there. It was pointless to hide, but foolish to say hello. Once he had company, he wouldn't want to leave. Rubbing the dark circles under his eyes, he stayed rooted to the spot for a bit. Then, with a great sigh, he took just a couple steps forward, not saying anything. The glow from the moon hit his face and his features were thrown into the light. The dark circles under his eyes, his blond, worn, turning light gray hair, his pale face, and gray baggy clothes were all illuminated in the moon. He saw the girl who had called to him and opened his mouth to speak, but closed it quickly, feeling like a howl would escape him before any words did.

Jessica raised an eyebrow when the boy stepped out. He looked slightly older than her and yet more scared. Strange. It was a slight disappointment and she wondered then why he was in the forest at this time of night. Knowing they were in the barrier she didn't even want to start guessing.

"Well this is a bit boring. I was hoping you'd be some sort of monster of some sort." She smirked and moved closer to the boy. She was shorter than he and leaned up to peer at his face. "Kinda cute, aren't ya?" Jess snickered and grabbed his left hand to lead him inside. Her hips swayed in a 'come hither' way while she walked and finally when they were inside she sat him down on a couch. "Well, the party starts in an hour ago so for now, it's just you and me, would you like to have our own sort of party?"

Jess winked and moved to the kitchen to grab him a glass of red wine. Muggle wine, but it was her favorite. "My name is Jess, and yours? I assume Yasil brought the letter to you already, I just didn't expect anyone to show up this early." The girl popped the cork out of the bottle to pour a half-glass for each of them, then sat down across from him and took a sip.

"So, you like my music?"

Lucas- Gryffindor

Lucas just stared at the girl, not speaking. He realized how much he was shaking, and tried to stand still, but he just looked frozen. He breathed in deeply when she moved close to him, wincing slightly, staring up at the sky. He jumped when she said she'd been expecting a monster, and bit his tongue. But I am a monster... He thought, his knees knocking together he was trembling so badly. He looked down at the ground, his face looking even paler when she grabbed his hand. Her hand was warm...

He walked inside the cabin and his eyes widened in suprise at how nice it was for just some random girl living in the woods. She leaned up to examine him and he wished she wouldn't. His whole wolfish instinct to attack would be kicking in soon and the last thing he needed was a pretty girl leaning up, looking at him. He gulped when she called him cute and took a step backwards, but she sat him down on a couch. It was soft and comfortable, part of him wanted to just lean over on it and sleep. He kept his eyes wide and didn't say anything at all until she asked him about music.
"Y-yes..." He said slowly, remembering the way the sounds of the string instrument had crawled up inside him and warmed him. "Yes. It was very good." He said a bit lamely, nodding. He took the wine from her, but didn't take a sip, being only 16 and not of age. He stared at the blood-red wine for a moment and then set it down carefully on the table.

"I'm sorry." He said quickly, speaking in a rushed voice, trying to explain this really fast. "I thought this part of the woods was deserted. I-I need to find a place to be completely alone. I'm sorry to have disturbed you. I don't want to intrude or take advantage of your hospitality. I'll go." He needed to run, now. Move so he was a few miles deeper in the woods. He didn't want to attack a pretty girl.

He walked out of the cabin, not being able to look at her face, and closed the door behind him. When it was closed, his head began to ache again and he started to run off, his heart beating like a huge drum.

Jess smirked and crossed her legs as he praised her. "I am pretty great, well Jessica is great but my part was better." A snicker escaped her lips. For a little she just sort of watched him while sipping on her wine. "Underage... what a p***y. Just drink it it's just wine." She was about to get up and basically feed it to him when he started rambling. Her eyes went wide and she frowned. "You're not taking advantage of- Hey get back here!"

She watched him leave and then became worried, Jessica appearing finally. She didn't know what was going on but someone was leaving her house looking very distraught. "W-wait! Please- stop!" Jessica reached out but he had already closed the door behind him. What had just happened? s**t- did Jess do something?

"Blood hell, Jess..."

She slouched in the chair and sipped at the wine. "I'm going to hurt you one of these days, Jess..." Jessica sighed with annoyance and sat up. Well.. no one had come to her party beside the man who had just left and she didn't even know what his face looked like. From what she could tell he was around 17 or 18 just from his height. Perhaps, hopefully she'd see him again soon. It was quite lonely. Lonely... perfect mood for more music.

The girl sat up from her place on the couch and ran upstairs to grab her violin and began playing a quiet melody. She couldn't remember where she'd heard it but the song had always given her chills when she played it.

Lucas- Gryffindor

Lucas stared up at the girl he recognized from a couple days ago. He shuddered when she touched his shoulder and his eyes widened when she thought he was attacked. Oh dammit...how am I going to get out of this...I can't tell her the truth, and I can't tell her nothing happened when she's seen me like this.
Sweat trickled down his face when he suddenly remembered: werewolf bites don't heal...what would he say, how would he explain it when his wounds wouldn't heal..he wondered this the entire time when she levitated him back to her home and she sat him on the couch. He was bleeding and sweating and had no idea what to say. He wasn't very good at lieing.
"Lucas." He croaked when she asked his name. She had asked it before though...maybe she'd just forgotten. He looked down at his feet, his mind still spinning.
"W-why would I be attacked, though? Is something...wrong?" He asked, trying to sound casual and off-hand. Had he maybe attacked something or...or someone last night and not realized it? He shook a bit and felt beads of sweat running down his cheeks. He continued to stare at his feet and the gashes on his legs, every milisecond she didn't answer being like torture and hellish. He just needed to know...he feared the worst...what would mum and dad say...

Jessica looked at him surprised. Why-… why would he be attacked? “Are you daft? Why would you be attacked? Because there’s a bloody monster out there! The lady who came here said she heard howling and honestly knowing you were in that woods I’m surprised you didn’t hear it. Seeing as you were attacked though maybe you did- anyway you’re welcome to stay here as long as you like.” She sighed and rubbed her temples. “I’ll make you something to eat, seeing as you’re quite thin. What would you like?” Jessica moved a few feet behind the couch and picked up a tissue from the ground. ’Gross…’ The girl flicked it into a trash bin near by.

Honestly, the boy was acting quite strange. Why would he be attacked? Perhaps because there was a monster in the woods, he was easy flesh and smelled like dinner? Was he just stupid or was he hiding something? Something tickled the back of her mind, probably Jess. ’He’s got something to do with it~’ No no, shut up. It’s wrong to accuse people. Well knowing he was okay and safe was fine enough for her and he seemed kind enough.

Her kitchen lights turned on the moment she entered the room and she flicked a burner on. Tea time, maybe she should brew some green tea for the both of them? Yes, that sounds like a good idea.

After a few minutes she came back to the couch with two cups of hot green tea and set it on the table in front of him. “Well, have you decided on something to eat?”

Lucas- Gryffindor

Lucas winced and looked away from her when she said there had been a monster...so he was a monster, was he? He stared at her eyes, wondering if she knew how badly she'd just hurt him. His insides squirmed unpleasantly with a mixture of hurt and shame. She was probably right...he stayed on the couch and didn't move a muscle, his heart throbbing. No one was at all how he thought. She'd seemed so nice, but I guess no one would ever accept him for being a werewolf. He'd constantly spend his life being pushed around by those who were better than him and who didn't have his problems. He was barely aware that Jessica was still in the room until she spoke to him, giving him tea and offering him something to eat.

"Not hungry..." He mumbled, staring at the floor. He wasn't able to look her in the eyes. His parents were probably here by now...but they were used to waiting...should he stay? He wasn't able to make up his mind. Jessica seemed kind...but would hate him if she knew about him. His parents already did hate him for it, and he had to go back with them since...well, it was where he belonged, shut up in a room all day. Even Jessica had said it...monster...

Jessica sipped at her tea and looked out the window. "But seriously, what kind of monster is out there? I supposed not all monsters in the wizarding world have the hearts of monsters... maybe a bear? No no, they're much quieter. Dragons.. it could be a dragon considering the mountains are quite close but then again I put a charm near my house to keep them at bay.." She sent him a wink. "Don't want to wake up with a dragon in my bed, right? Perhaps a werewolf but you can't really blame them, they can't control themselves." She looked down a bit sadly. "My best friend was a werewolf, as his parents. When he was 10 his parents killed him as they shifted. It was an accident, so I don't blame them. I just miss him."

Jessica took another sip of her tea and sighed contently. "It could have been a lycan or a troll... however those bite marks look more like a wolf. Did you get a look at it by any chance? If it was a simple forest animal then we only need to put some charms around the house and let the neighbors know." The girl stood up and moved to the kitchen. She didn't really care about whether or not he was hungry, he'd eat if she had to make him. "I'll make you some mac and cheese. A simple muggle meal but it tastes pretty good."

Not five minutes later she brought back a large bowl of mac and cheese and set it in front of him with a fork. "Here, eat up. You'll get your strength back." She smiled kindly at him and sat back down on the ground near the couch with her tea.

He was so shy, but kind. It was kind of adorable.

Lucas- Gryffindor

Lucas took a small sip of tea as well, just not to seem rude. It was quite good. He stared down into the cup, and shrugged when she talked about a dragon. At the word werewolf he looked up, eyes wide and a bit fearful. This girl was too smart, she'd surely find out about him if she tried to heal his wounds. Then he mentioned her best friend being a werewolf and his hurt feelings vanished. He realized his mouth was wide open, gaping a bit, and shut it quickly. His eyes still wide a bit, he couldn't think of anything to say. Should he tell her? No...it seemed too early to tell her that. He didn't answer her question right away and she went off talking about mac and cheese. He couldn't tell her...he shouldn't tell her...But Jessica had a look in her eyes that he couldn't help trusting. When she left the kitchen he found his eyes were wet. He put his head in his hands, and his elbows on his knees, thinking.

When she came back he looked up at her, his eyes still a little bit red.
"Y-yeah..." He said slowly, finally answering her question. "I saw it. It's fine though, it was only around the woods, just some ...animal. I'd just increase your charms a bit." He said the last sentence very seriously, like a warning. Not able to look her in the eyes, feeling too guilty and happy, and on top of that, knowing he'd probably give himself away, he just took up the mac and cheese and ate a bit. He felt a bit odd just sitting here in a stranger's house eating, but enjoyed it all the same. He remembered what she said about his wounds, the bite marks. He needed to say something about them, what if she tried to heal him? He spoke in a bit of a constricted voice, the wounds pulsing and throbbing angrily.
"The wounds aren't too bad though." He lied through his gritted teeth. "I'm sure they'll heal soon." He felt bad telling blatant lies to her, when he knew the wounds wouldn't heal by magic and would just scar over like every other bite mark he'd given himself. He looked down, fearing that she's see the truth in his eyes.

She had noticed his wounds of course and had sent an owl for some supplies as she had no medicine of any sort on hand, and her medical spells weren't exactly top notch. Jess was excellent at those spells but strangely enough she hadn't popped out-

A wild smirk appeared on her lips suddenly. Jess was back. She put the tea down and moved to sit next to him on the couch before pulling out her wand. "Look's like you're back, hmn? My name is Jess, I believe we've met before haven't we. Let's take a look at those wounds."

The girl's whole demeanor had changed and now held herself in a more regal way. "Episkey." She whispered while pointing her wand at a few of the wounds. Nothing happened. She raised her eyebrow and moved a strand of hair out of her face. "Well this is strange." Just then her owl flew in and dropped a bag on her lap. "Wonderful! The dittany!" She smiled and began applying it to the wounds only to see the edges curl in around themselves as if they were scabbing. But nothing else happened.

She frowned and then looked up at him. "So... what exactly bit you? I know you know." She leaned against the couch, perched over him with a kind of pissed of but somehow in her own way caring look. It was a strange look indeed but something behind her eyes showed a deeper concern for not just him but what she had thought he was. Was he okay? Why didn't he tell Jessica? In some way she was glad she was able to meet Lucas as she had never had the chance to meet Nathan...

Shaking her head a bit she came back to reality. This was Lucas, she talked to him already and now all that was left was to get the story straight. "I can't help you if you don't tell me how you got these wounds."
