The summer day was perfect, the sun hung high in the sky and the cooling breeze flowed over the overgrown grassy field where Eotie had found himself a soft bed of moss to rest upon. It was a lazy day, one he had no plans for but to enjoy the sun's rays and summer heat. Flicking his ear, Eotie lifted his head off the ground it had been resting upon for about an hour now, a matted down dent in the green showed the length of time he had been resting in his spot. The wind brushed through his fur, causing it to dance around in different directions before lifting up into the air and then back down to it's usual place again. Licking his lips, the brown ulaya decided that it was finally time to get up and find his way to a waterfall he knew was close by. Partched, he lifted his body and began padding through the grass, it's green tickling his sides as he brushed past it.
Eotie knew the area pretty well for he spent a lot of time here, alone. He didn't know too many other ulayas but that didn't bother him too much. He usually enjoyed the sounds of nature as opposed to the conversations of another but he also didn't mind having someone to chat with once in a while either. As he made his way through the field he started up a hill which held the falling water on the other side of it, surrounded with tall trees and colorful flowers adding to the briliance of the nature. Looking up at the sky, Eotie evaluated the sun and figured it must be just past noon, plenty of day light to enjoy his water and the rest of his day.
Coming upon the waterfall, Eotie stepped into a patch of dirt covered with a couple small rocks. The wind casted up from the falls blew strong today, making it almost chilling to be near the water. The sun danced across the surface of the clear liquid, reflecting light that moved around in the air, shining so brightly in the ulaya's eyes. Leaning over the water, the brown ulaya lowered his head down and began lapping it up, a cold sensation flowing down his throat and into his belly. The best water he had ever tasted and the best place to find it, close by to his favorite napping area.

"Get back here!" Asher growled as she cased after a butterfly. The female uyala had been chasing the insect all morning, after it woke her up from her sleep. She had been resting by the stream right above the waterfall. The basted insect landed on her nose, and that woke her up.
The sun was high in the sky, and the heat soaked into her black clothing. . Running all morning made her paws grew tired but the butterfly seemed to be just out of reach. So she continued to follow it, trying to catch it.
The butterfly fluttered and flew right in front of Asher, and the more it flew the harder she ran. Till she passed the spot she was sleep and ran right off the edge of the water fall. Asher fell off the edge and down the side of the stone wall like part of the waterfall. The only difference was she was screaming as she fell, the water did not.
With a loud splash Asher fell into the water. Lucky she grew up around water, so she knew how to swim, as she came up, she struggled a bit to get to the back of the stream. Exhausted she swam to the bank, and laid there for a moment. She raised her head to see a brown uyala standing there at the river.
Asher stood and walked away from the uyala and shook off. The water rolled off her leather clothing. She looked back at the brown uyala. Not being shy, she walked to where he was. "Hello," Asher spoke over the roar of the waterfall. "I am Asher, and now I am kind of lost." She scratched her "So, how are you?" She knew that line is lame, but since she was off the cliff, and she had not seen a new face in a long time, she wanted to make friends with this uyala.

Eotie's peaceful drink was interrupted by the crash and splashed of the hyper active ulaya. Unsure of what to do in such a situation, he just stood still and watched her shake the water off from her, it's droplets beading down the leather outfit she had been dressed in. Tilting his head to one side slightly with confusion, he sat down on the soil below him and let out a chuckle, she was a ulaya with quite the personality which he automatically enjoyed greatly. "I'm Eotie." He replied back to her introduction, still looking at her with a grin of entertainment on his face. "How are you lost, you came from up there." He gestured to the top of the waterfall's cliff side, it's jagged rocks and random vines leading to the edge she had stumbled off from. "You didn't make it that far from where you began." He looked back down towards the ulaya standing before him, her fur soaked and the leather shimmering with the water's reflection.
"So other than falling off the face of a cliff, where else do you come from?" He had never seen her around before, in fact hadn't seen anyone around for a long time, and was curious to know where she had been all along. He was quite sure he was at the waterfall by himself and was usually more vigilant of his surroundings. Looking back up to the top of the waterfall, Eotie lowered an ear at the thought of the fall she had just taken. She was lucky to not be hurt any more than her pride, if anything, and he was impressed with her recovery.

Asher look on in surprise. He was a sweetheart. "Well, I have never been off the cliff before. I am from a village about a mile from here. I have always wanted to come down here, but never had the guts... who knew a stupid butterfly you put me over the edge" she gestured at the pun. She stood and took a few step and a twing shot up her arm, and made her yelp. "Well, that kind of hurt, I think I may of messed up my shoulder a bit. Mind if we sit by the bank for a while?" She asked limping over to the edge of the river. "I would love to know more about you, you are too cute." She giggled.
