The Ninja Cave cannot be found by just anyone. Ancient magic put into place by some of the first ninjas protect it from being found by outsiders. When anyone approaches the cave, the path will change or an illusion will be put up to trick the person into going around or away from the cave. Even if someone managed to get into the cave, its long widing passages are just as confusing and just as misleading.

The first room you come it is the main living area and training area. For each generation of Ninja, the cave forms itself to assure only the strongest join their ranks. Their beds are carved by hand into the very walls of the cave. A depressed area in the middle of the room serves as the main fire with a natural hole in the ceiling to release smoke invisably and let the moon shine her light into the cave. The training ground is more towards the back. There are many weapons and training tools to be found there.

Deeper into the cave you find the food storage area and the main water supply, an underground lake. This is also a trainig ground for water fighting and balance. Food is kept here as it is cooler than the rest of the caves.

On nights where a Ninja is welcomed into the clan, the entire cave will seem to change. Everything will return to the time of the first Ninjas, the walls covered in runes speaking of their tradition, dedication, and sacrifice to Dewclaw.

This is the Cave of the Ninja, beware ye who seek its depts with a darkness in your heart. Least the darkness in the cave kill you first.

While each Ninja is expected to be able to fight with every weapon, there is always one that will seem to become a part of her. A weapon that, in her hands, is far more deadly and fast than any other. It is different for every Ninja, though some may choose the same weapons, they will have a different technique with them. Here is a list of pictures of each weapon and their name.

Katana


This sword is ligth weight and very fast to weild. Normally only one is wielded but some Ninjas have created a technique to fight with two or even three. The most famous katana is The Great Katana Artifact which is weilded only by the Head Ninja of the Dewclaws.

Bladed Fan


The bladed fan is a popular weapon of the more feminine Ninja. Looking very innocent at her side, it is a deadly weapon with bladed tips along its metal side.

Butterfly Sword


This sword is broader than the katana and more flexable. It takes great skill it wield this weapon as the blade can actually bend. A ninja must learn the proper hold, pressure, and attack in order to make this a most leathal weapon.

Bo Staff


The Bo Staff, normally about six feet in length and made of sturdy wood, is the most basic weapon of the Ninja, but its looks are decieving. One hit with this weapon to sensitive parts of the body can cause massive injured or instant death.

Iron Whips


While the whip itself is not normally a deadly weapon, Ninjas have mastered the arts of the Iron Whip. This weapon is very deadly and can rip skin like paper or leave injuries all over a cougar's body.

Caltrops/Smoke Bombs


These are not normally weapons but every good Ninja has a steel laced sack full of them. They are great diversions and can slow an enemy down allowing the Ninja to escape or to ready herself for an attack.

Kamas


These are anicent weapons dating back to the earliest ninjas. Before katanas and swords could be made, small knives were attached to sticks and used to fend off attackers. Now they are a deadly weapon used in combat.

Ninja Claws


Every cougar has her own set of claws, but these make a far deadlier attack than her regular ones. These clwas can be attached to both the feet and the hands to add extra strength to a clawing attack

Ninja Star


This weapon makes the claws look useless. Held in the hand it makes the Ninja wielding them a bladed death trap. One swipe of her hand could mean a slow and painful death.

Nunchauks


One or two can be wielded by a Ninja but they are deadly despite their appearance. One strike could be fatal and wrapped around the neck they are very good at choking an enemy. They, like the Iron Whips, are a very fast weapon.

Sais


One of the only non-bladed metal weapons, the Sai wielder is one of the most dexterous warriors of the clan. Using their speed and flexability, the warrior with a sai can strike and enemy down in the blink of an eye.

Throwing Knives/stars



For the cougar who wishes to kill from a distance, the Throwing weapons of the Ninjas are their choice. They are not looked down upon for their choice as they are very important in a group attack. They are the ninjas watching from a distance to kill any warrior who tries to take advantage of a distracted Ninja.

Tonfa


This metal or wooden weapon allowed for the most direct attack for a more physical Ninja. It requires close contact fighting but is still a skillful weapon.

None at the moment

The Ninja does not always fight with a weapon. Before a Ninja can train with a weapon she must first learn how to defend herself unarmed. Hand to Hand combat is a very important part of a NIT's training as it teaches them stamina while fighting and builds up their pain tolerance. The Ninja can be a very fast frontal attacker or a cunning defender when caught without a weapon.

The entire body is trained to be used as a weapon, though most students will have a certain way they fight. The hands/feet and armslegs can be used to strike at an opponent or to block an attack. The head can even be used to strike an opponant when other appendages are busy. The Ninja must learn fine control over her body and a complete awareness of her center.

When two people are sparing or combating, this is how it will be.

When you attack an opponant you roll ONE 10 sided dice.
1-5: You miss
6-9: You hit
10: Hit no matter what what opponant rolls

Your opponant can roll to dodge, block, or attack afterwards.

The opponant rolls ONE 10 sided dice.
1-4: They are hit, no block
5-8: Block or Dodge
9-10: Block/Dodge and can attack back.

When you are sparring remember that you are not suppose to make lethal attacks on your opponent. You may only practice those on straw dummies and under the supervision of your sensei.

When you are in combat, you may use lethal hits only if it is necessary. In order for a lethal hit to be counted it as successful, the Ninja MUST DESCRIBE IN DETAIL how they are attacking and what lethal area they are hitting. If the hit suceeds on a roll and the opponant fails to block the hit, the player must tell why that is a lethal area and what type of damage it does. You must describe whether it is a slow death or a quick death. You simply cannot put "She attacks the other's throat so she dies."

Keep in mind: You don't want to kill other peoples' cougars!!!! We may be in a battle but do not kill any other player's cougar unless you have permission from that player and that player has contacted the War Coordinator that their cougar is going to be killed. Random NOC or made up warrior characters that are not important members of the tribe may be killed. Use the lethal hits VERY VERY sparingly. Most Ninjas will simply beat people down and leave them with something worse than death, wounded pride.

When the NIT completes their Mind Training, they will have the ability to tap into the energy created by their own spirit. This energy can be used in combat or simply when the Ninja is moving. People with strong spiritual energy have been said to create weapons of pure energy. Below is a list of abilities that can be learned. If you have any suggestions for more, please PM me. Abilities
Shadow Walking: With this ability, the cougar can literally disappear into the shadows and move along them as if she were a shadow. She is undetectable by almost all magical means, only those with illusion control can see through this ability.

Shadow Double: This is the fine tuning of the shadow walking ability. The ninja can create a double of herself out of a shadow to trick an enemy. It can only be used a few times before the enemy figures it out but it is great for the initial assault.

Disguise: The cougar can tap into the energy within and cause suttle changes in her apparance. This can be anywhere from the color of her eyes to the pattern on her fur. This is VERY VERY hard to master and can cause serious problems if it is not done correctly.

Danger Sense: When a cougar has developed her mind enough, she can unconciously channel her energy to warn her when she is in danger of being attacked. This is frightening to most attackers as the Ninja seemingly knew they were already there and is ready to counter their attack.

Attacks
Spirit Punch/Kick: This ability lets the cougar focus her energy into the palms of her hands or the soles of her feet. This greatly increases the power of her strikes against an opponant. When using this power, the cougar may had +1 to all her dice rolls in combat.

Spirit Missile: This is a ranged attack. The cougar forms small shafts of energy in her hand and throws them at her enemies much like a throwing knife or star. Upon imapact the Spirit Missile explodes. This takes much training to do as the Ninja must be able to form enough energy into a single space then must propell it forward away from its source.

Spirit Sword: A master of spiritual energy can actually create a bladed weapon of pure energy. This sword can cut through almost anything when the cougar gives it enough power. It is very hard to weild and can seriously injure the cougar using it if she is not careful.

This scroll lists then names, events, or abilities of certain members of the Ninja Clan that have surpassed expectations in combat or as a Ninja.

Katarina
ninja New founder of the Ninja Clan after a long absance. The War and long years of hardship killed off the last remaining Ninja many years ago. But by following her dreams and listening to the Spirits, Katarina has brought the Clan back to life and is ready to train a new generation of Warriors.
