 Wren is an NPC. She is here for the purpose of helping your own pieces get promoted if there are not enough active pieces. In a larger capacity, she provides a window into Noir life.
You may ask for a battle or RP any time. Battles will always be considered practice battles unless it is part of a metaplot.

Wren joined the army at the age of nineteen. Few thought she would ever choose the life of a soldier, but specific talents caught the eye of King Lucian while he was still the crown prince. Their interactions are a story for another time. She often doubts the King's choice in urging her to become a soldier, but faith has carried her through the many ups and downs through the years. Wren was born in Dawn City's artisan district. As her background is of the working class, this makes her blend in with just about every soldier in the army and few ever take notice of her.
Three years of obscurity have not looked kindly on Wren though she tries her best to keep a positive outlook. Missions often confuse her and she barely scrapes through them more often than not. Battles are an absolute nightmare and she loses them more than she wins. On several occasions she has suggested that she be discharged from the army to King Lucian, but he refuses to hear of it.
Wren has yet to see what use she could possibly be of use. But there you are.

Since the tensions between the major nations of the continents have escalated, Wren has been out on the front running errands for King Sable as the Lady Ashe spends little time in the capital. Without the strategic guidance of the Queen, King Sable had taken on military duties for both the Pawn and Rook armies. Due to this, Wren has only encountered Lady Ashe once or twice in her whole career.
Now that the Lady Ashe has returned to resume her full set of duties, the Rook army - including Wren - are being deployed at the Lady Ashe's discretion in conjunction with the King Sable's plans with the Pawn army. By special recommendation, Wren was chosen as a senior Rook soldier to accompany Lady Ashe to the front.
Something of interest to note. Wren only adopted her current name after entry into the army.
