Anyone got any good locating spells/techniques?
I've tried for ages to try and find some spells to do with this but all I can find is Fetches and Fith Faths...I wrote a spell which I will post below...please give comments/alternatives...or your experiences with losing stuff...

"Knotting Spell to Find What is Lost"You'll Need: Cords or Strings
Knife
Black Ink or Fountain Pen
Flat-sided Bone (e.g. Rib-bone)Inside the Circle, take the bone and carve into it the name of the thing you have lost. Remember to be clear...e.g. Don't say glasses...say spectacles. With the ink, fill the carved grooves so that the letters/runes stand out. Carve a groove or a hole in one or both ends of the bone. Tie the cords to this and hold the bone steady as you begin to plait them. Chant as you plait or knot the strings... "Bound and Binding
Binding Bound
See with Sight
Hear with Sound
What is Lost
Now be Found
Bound is Binding
Binding Bound" Once you have finished the chant, tie a knot. Hang the charm up at the side of a door or window. On the next night/day, take the charm into the circle and either unwind the plaits, or if you have more string, continue the chant again. Keep plaiting and unplaiting in the pattern until the thing is returned.

I've heard that chant somewhere before. It's in my BoS, infact.

Oh...maybe I got it from somewhere then. Can't remember now. Unless we both had a spooky kind of psycho-connection thing going on...
Not likely.
Hehe. Well, if someone out there wrote this chant and I stole it (accidentally I might add), then Kudos to you and all that jazz.

One technique for finding things that are lost is to use a pendulum. I've never done it myself, but I read about it when I was teaching myself to use a pendulum. If you hold the pendulum by the string and focus on the item that is lost then the pendulum should swing in a line pointing to the item (but also away). You then need to move off the line and do it again so that you know that your item is at the intersection of the two lines. Also if you think that your item is in your house then you can walk through the rooms with your pendulum and it should show a positive response when you are in the room where it is.
If you don't have a pendulum then you can easily make one with a string and a paperclip. Just be sure to learn what the positive and negative responses of your pendulum are before trying the walking through your house technique.

i've used a pendulum in that way before... i didn't find it that reliable.

I'd like to learn how to use a pendulum. Never done it before. I have a pendulum, though.

^^ I got it from another guild. It's called Real Magick, and it started with a contest to see if spells, etc. from shows like Charmed would actually work in real life, if you worked at getting it accurate and stuff. Thing is I became inactive in that guild, and quit. Then realized that it was hidden. GAWD, I'M STUPID! When I get home, I'll see if I wrote it down in my BoS, but I seriously doubt that I did.
But, it worked! But kinda backfired. I found an ex-pagan, who I realized was already one of my friends. =/
BTW, I use that pendulum thing too. Where you go into the different rooms in your house and get a positive or negative response... but I also hold it over areas of the room and do the same thing. It takes a little longer, but it works. I found my driver's permit that way. ^^"

i'm getting to be a bit of a post-freak in this Guild. I love it! hehe...crazed obsessive here.
I noticed there aren't many spells or rituals in the Guild's Shadows, that's why I have posted the grand number of 2!
Anyways...good luck finding the spell and will be watching the proverbial space

Wow. Now I feel like one of those female spies in all leather outfits... 0_0
