It was just before sunset, the sun slowly descending in the sky. The light blue of day giving way to the oranges, pinks and purples that signal the beginning of night. "Gorgeous" A mare breathed. Her duel colored hair sweeping with the seas gentle breeze. Though her body was dark her wings had the color of a sunset. Perched on a set of wet algae coated Against the waves crashing around her, she was small, sleek, almost fragile looking.
Cameo's eyes scanned the beach, but from what she could see, nothing was there. It was one of those days lonely days when she hadn't seen anyone and her only company were the sea birds that would fly down every once in a while looking for food or entertainment such as stealing the beads and shells she sometimes used. Yay! Sometimes she really disliked those winged beasts.

[a'lign=center] It was a long walk from his home, following the river, but eventually the large stallion saw the signs of the beach. Glowing red eyes gazed over the sandy dunes just a short distance away. He stopped and turned his attention to the changing colors in the sky, flicking his long tail softly. Although the stallion didn't discriminate where he would wander, the beach was his favorite place to roam to. His reason, it was almost always empty. A perfect place where a monster like him could be alone.
As his massive legs carried him over the mounds of sand, the red 'eyes' located on his legs reflecting off the grains of sand. Reaching the top, Abbadon glanced around silently. An unexpected sight caused him to snort, narrowing his brows. Before him, near the waves, was another soquili. It was a mare from how small and dainty they looked, but he could be wrong. There were some dainty stallions too, not all soquili were as massive as him. He remained silent, but he was upset that he wouldn't be able to enjoy the beach in complete solitude. Shaking his head, he climbed down the dune and started to walk down the beach to a further location.

The waves had drew her attention back to them. The crashing, breaking of the waves usually held her transfixed. Sometimes wishing she could swim as well as the fish she sometimes played with.
A dark figure at the corner of her vision drew her attention back to the beach. Squinting, she saw what looked like a large male form, with light horns. But he was apparently walking away. But to where? she had to ask herself.
Cameo lifted her wings to the air and flapped until she off the ground, once she was up she made quick work of catching up to him. Just a few feet behind him she let her hooves touch the soft sand and quickly folded her delicate wings back against her side. "Hello..?" she called out to the stranger. "Where are you going?"
She gave the visitor a warm smile as she took in her his features. Cam couldn't help but notice what looked like eyes on his legs. How odd... His coloring reminded her of a marsh or a swamp, but as far as she could tell, smell nothing like one.

The beach was usually his place of solitude, but today wasn't the case. Even as he tried to walk away to find another area where no one else around, it seemed the he would not be able to do that as well. Moving through the sand, his ears flicked back behind him at the sound of wing beats. The mare was following him, much to his dismay. He really hated being rude to mares, but if he had to he would.
Pressing on, his red eyes scanned her quickly from their corners as she finally caught up to him and greeted him, smiling warmly. Abbadon just returned his gaze ahead of him and just let a snort escape from him. The large stallion hoped that this tactic was enough to get the mare to return what she was previously doing, so he could continue with what he was doing.

Tilting her head to side, Cameo frowned at the stallion before her. Could he hear properly? Surely he must. Maybe the sun was simply hurting his eyes so he turned away from it?
Taking a couple steps and she was faced with the side of his face. "Hello? Is that any better?" she said softly, trying to get attention. The mare definitely didn't understand being blown off, until she was actually told off. Though it was usually because most everyone she'd met was normally pleasant with her.

The large stallion kept walking, having hoped the mare got the message and left him alone. She didn't. He sighed to himself as he looked to her from the corner of his eyes as she moved to his side and called to him again. He pressed forward, still not saying anything to her.
After a few more steps, he snorted. His long tail flicked as he looked the mare over from the corner of his eyes again. He would have preferred not to have to scare her off, but his first tactic didn't work, so he had to resort to a more fiercer approach. Deeply, he groaned, "What do you want?!"

Cam followed persistently after stallion, her motions copying his own until he stopped and turned to her. She quickly paused, her head shooting up to present him with yet another smile. The poor mare just didn't know when to call it quits. With the annoyance clearly in his voice, Cameo shivered slightly, her face and smile drooped. No longer able to meet his gaze she hung her head low, tears visibly welling in her eyes. "I jus.. I just wanted some company.. It gets so.. So lonely here" she sniffled. "You looked lonely too.. So.. " She paused to sniffle again. Her tears finally leaking down her cheeks. "I.. I'm sorry.."
It never took much to for Cam to feel ashamed at doing something, which usually meant she was easily brought to tears. Sometimes it annoyed her at how emotional she was, but now it just upset her even more. She didn't even know this male and yet a simple question was enough to set her off.
She glanced up at him, her small frame probably seemed like it was quaking. She sniffed again, trying to regain her composure.

When the mare stopped, he kept walking forward. That is, until he heard the faint sound of sniffling. Stopping as well, he turned to see her crying as she apologized. At this vision, his ears flattened against his head some. He didn't want to make her cry, he just wanted her to leave him alone. Now, something tugged within him and he couldn't understand what it was. With a slight annoyed snort, he turned and looked to her, looking down to her shaking form. "Don't cry."
Cameo lifted her head slightly, to look back at the stallion and sniffled. What would make him take pause now? her eyes were rimmed in red but her tears had stopped at least. Her posture was still that of submission, but simple because she was on the edge of crying again. "I can't help it sometimes.. " She explained softly. "I surprised you stayed. Most time tears scare away stallions, not make them stay." Her ears perked up slightly as she looked expectantly at him.
He didn't move any closer, nor did he move away. He just stood where he was, flicking his tail around his back legs. At her comment about being surprised at him staying, and how other stallions normally run, he snorted. "Then they are not truly stallions to leave a crying mare."
Taking a deep steady breath she cleared her throat and sniffled once more. "Again, I'm sorry. Its a reflex that I can't seem to get rid of." She took a few steady steps towards him. Probably coming a bit too close for his comfort. "Thank you." She smiled. " But what did I do to offend you in the first place?"
He shook his head as she apologized again. It was when she started to move toward him again that he got a small sneer on his features and backed up some. At her question about offending him, he snorted. "You didn't offend me."
Tilting her head slightly at his actions she took another step closer. "Then why do you treat me as though I have the plague? I only wanted to ask for you company..." With that, she let her head drop slight as she glanced back at the ocean. It was always so relaxing. Why couldn't she be more like that?
He backed away more as she moved closer to him still. "It is not you." He replied simply, giving her an annoyed glare at her persistence of being around. The thought of him being a monster added to his current attitude.
"If its not me" she looked at him again, noticing that he'd moved away again. "Then what is it..?" She looked him over carefully, noting that he didn't seem to diseased in anyway. "You don't look sick yourself... Actually, you seem very healthy.. " Once again taking a step closer, this time to get a better look at his mane. "You have such lovely hair.. It looks way softer than mine!" She exclaimed.
