They
Kill me more and more inside
With their
Hurtful stares
And glaring eyes.
They like to think
They rule the world
When
They kill the little boys and girls,
Crush their souls
And break their hearts,
Rip them piece by piece apart.
How come
No one has
The strength to take a stand,
To push them down
Without a chance?
Faces show the war is done.
They’ve given up,
Point at gun.
Why have we
Given them our hopes
Without a fight?
No survivors are in sight.
Light is so far now.
It’ll get closer.
It always gets closer.
Look.
It’s coming closer.
Got to
Take it
In the grasp of my hands,
Wipe my tears
And take a stand.
All the people are still down,
So in hell
With no way out.
Time has past
To just let go.
And there is no real way to know
What could have happened
If the story was not done.
With no pages left to turn,
This is a lesson not to learn.

Try this for a better flow. It seems kind of hacked up right now.
