ATTENTION
Let it be heard throughout the lands that His Highness the Emperor Mathew Elkezor of the Land of Elkezor has recently passed. It has come to the attention of the Council that this unfortunate event has left a position to be filled. The Council kindly asks the interested parties to make themselves known. The Council shall have final say as to the successor of the Emperor. Any and all parties shall be considered in the Council's decision.

The Emperor of the land has died and the surrounding kingdoms are now scrambling for the position. But this time, things are different. Anyone and everyone willing to claw their way into power, including the peasants, will get their shot at the throne. The only thing that will get in the way of all these dreamers is the mysterious "Council" of Elkezor. A group of secretive magicians that oversees everything that happens in the land of the Emperor. They alone decide who will sink, and who will swim to the seat of power...

Bio: Jaiya is the young orphaned Princess of the Kingdom of Incasi, bordering the land of Elkezor. She was thrust into her rulership after the death of her father when she was only seventeen. When she heard of the Emperor of Elkezor's death, the opportunity to expand her father's Empire was just too good to pass up.
Personality: Jaiya is kind and has good intentions, but has a growing desire to prove herself, which often times gets her in trouble. She also tends to space out a lot.

Arthur finished walking to the top of the hill overlooking Castle Kilnor, a city within the Kingdom of Elkezor. He takes a deep breath as he sees his destination. "Oh man, what a walk." He walks up to the gates and knocks with the knocker. The gates lower and allow him into the city. "Now, where to go..."
Prod blinks in the suddenly bright sunlight, he never could quite get used to teleporting. He saw the Castle Kilnor in front of him and decided to actually go through the gate this time, grinning at the memory of the last time he tried. He knocked on the gate and was let in. As he looked around, a strange warrior caught his eye, but he decided not to approach him yet. He then starts exploring the city.

Princess Jaiya's carriage arrived at the gates to the Castle Kilnor. This city was far different from her own. She was already starting to miss it. Jaiya jumped down from the carriage as the gates opened, and walked in, cautiously looking around at the curious people this place was home to.

Liam sat on the steps of the Castle Kilnor looking around at the city. The Council had not yet given him a job for the day, after he had been sure to post the Council's announcement.

Arthur is looking through the assortment of saddlebags, when he heard the town Crier calling out the daily news. He listens and hears an announcement about Emperor Elkezor's death, and the chance to become emperor. He thought for a moment, then realized this could be the opportunity to rebuild his town after the recent invader attack. He walks over and signs his name on the parchment for the Competitors.
Prod grimaces slightly as the calls of the town Crier disrupt his thought patterns during his meditation. He gets up and leaves the alleyway he was in and walks out, listening to the announcement about the Emperor's death and Competition. He decides he has nothing better to do, so i he might as well give it a shot.

Jaiya turned her head towards the Crier, calling out about the death of the Emperor. After a moment of thought she hurried over with the rush of people to sign her name, trying not to run into anyone.

Liam watched in amused silence from the steps as the people flooded for the chamce to become the new Emperor. He wondered if maybe he would have a shot, if all these others did.

After he's done signing his name, he turns around and bumps into Jaiya. "Oh! Excuse me, Miss..." Obviously wanting to find out a name from her.

Prod goes to sign his name, and right when he does, he feels a strange pull of energy from the paper and a strange bond with the ink of his name. He look curiously at the paper, but sees nothing. Then senses the eyes of a strong life force from the top of the castle wall. He looks straight at Liam.

Princess Jaiya blinked in surprise momentarily as she was bumped into. She sighed to herself, as she had spaced out in the middle of a crowd. "Jaiya." The Princess said with a small smile. "And it isn't a problem."

"Well, Miss Jaiya, it was nice to meet you. I hope we see each other in the city sometime and maybe let me buy you a drink?" He smiles and then walks off.

Prod pulls his quill from the parchment and starts walking to the base of the wall where Liam is sitting, never breaking eye contact. He mutters a few word under his breath while walking and suddenly a small cloud of smoke pours out from his hands and then disperses. He is gone. The same cloud appears next to Liam and he is there.

The Princess opened her mouth to reply, but the young man was already walking away. She stood there for a moment, unsure of what to do next, then walked to a large fountain and sat down next to it.

Liam continued to sit as though a man wasn't doing magic right next to him. He was used to it, considering he worked for the Council.

Walking away from the crowd, he looks back to see how many competitors he will have, and notices the woman named Jaiya walking over and sitting on the large fountain in the courtyard. He smiles and walks over. "Well, had I known you were already done signing up, I woulld have walked you out of the crowd!" Laughs "Would you like to go get a drink with me? Or maybe some dinner?"

Jaiya was startled when the man began speaking again. She hadn't noticed him return. "Hm? Oh.. umm.. Well... I.. Suppose so... Though... I don't know if it's such a good idea to be wandering around with stangers..." The Princess raised her eyebrow slightly.

Jaiya was rather amused. None of the men she had ever met were half the gentlmen Arthur was. Usually they were conceited bastards that wanted to take what power she had. But then... This man didn't know she was a princess. She wondered if she should keep that bit to herself... "Jaiya Antava." She replied, standing up.
