The software and hardware you'll need

1. The program to search for seeds and generate resulting lists of pokemon from them.

If you are using a PC ------ RNG Reporter 9.81
If you are using a mac ------ PPRNG

2. A DS or DS lite. If you are using PPRNG a DSi or DSxL might work, but if you are using RNG Reporter it almost certainly will not.

3. A legit copy of Pokemon Black or White. If you are playing on a rom, you more than likely aren't going to be able to RNG from it.

Information You'll Need

1. Your TID (trainder ID)

2. Your SID (secret ID)

3. Your DS mac address

How to Find your TID and SID

The easiest way to find your TID and SID(in my opinion) is to use the Pokecheck website. Turn on your DS and start your game normally, and once you are past the title screen, instead of continuing scroll down to the Nintendo WFC Settings. Change the wifi configuration you're currently using to have a primary DNS server of 088.191.118.153 and save these settings.

Continue your game and go to the pokecenter. Enter the GTS and deposit any pokemon that you caught or bred(legitimately) in your game. Traded pokemon will not work for this. It doesn't matter which pokemon you are depositing or which pokemon you ask for in return for your pokemon, since the pokemon won't actually be uploaded onto the GTS, but the Pokecheck servers.

Once you've finished selecting what you want for your deposited pokemon, you should get an error code (13266). If you get a different error code the Pokecheck website has a guide for how to fix this and get the correct error code. After your pokemon is uploaded onto the Pokecheck server database(which will only keep it for 24 hours), refresh your page and search for the pokemon species you listed. A link should come up saying that a pokemon with your same IP has been detected. Click on that link and you will see a picture of your pokemon along with its stats, your TID and SID. Write down your TID and SID.

Information You'll Need (part 2)

1. Your TID (trainer ID) If you don't have this yet see the previous post.

2. Your SID (secret ID) If you don't have this yet, see the previous post.

3. Your DS mac address.

How to find your DS mac address

If your DS is set to manual load, click a to play Pokemon Black or White. If your DS is set to autoplay, ignore the last sentence. When you reach the title screen(with Zekrom or Reshiram and the big Pokemon banner) click one more screen ahead. Now, instead of continuing your game from its save file, scroll down the list of options to the Nintendo WFC Settings(right below game sync settings). Click it. There should be an orange tab on the side that says "Options". Click it. The top red/pink button will give you your system information, including the mac address you need, so click it. Record your DS mac address somewhere.

Now open your RNG reporter or PPRNG program and click on settings. Select the correct information about what system and game cartridge you're using, language, and fill in your TID, SID and mac address. There should be 3-6 other boxes that you can't fill in yet(Timer0, VCount, and VFrame) Save and exit your settings.

Calibration

Save your game in a place with wild grass with your character facing downward with high level wild pokemon(Victory road is a good place for this). Keep someone with sweet scent in your party, and leave an empty slot in your party.

Open your RNG Reporter/PPRNG program and click on DS Parameters Settings. Remove your game cartridge from your DS and turn on your DS. Set your DS to manual start, rather than autoplay. Put the game cartridge back into the DS and turn on the DS. Set your DS clock to the exact date and time and save, and then reset your game. Click to play at the exact 00 second on the clock, and record the minute and hour as well(and date).

When you continue your game file, make sure you keep your C-gear turned off. As quickly as you can, click X to open up your menu. Go to your pokemon party and use sweet scent to force a battle. Catch whatever you encounter in a masterball(don't worry, you won't be keeping it) or catch it normally, and then use rare candies to level it up as high as you can, or go to the Nimbasa IV Judge/battle subway to see its stats at a high level.

Google an IV calculator, and enter the stats into the calculator (along with the species and nature) and generate the IV spread for the pokemon you caught. When you've got a range for the IVs, put them into the DS parameter searcher and click search. From the resulting values, find the value that most closely matches the time when you started your game (00 seconds if you've followed this guide). Write down the Timer0 Value, VCount and VFrame value that go along with this time.

Calibration (part 2)

Repeat everything you just did in the initial calibration step again at least 3 more times(the more you do, the more accurate your RNG-ing will be later), making sure to record any values you are getting for your Timer0, VCount and VFrame.

Now look over the Timer0 values and find the value with the earliest alphabetic letter, and the one with the latest, circle them for easy reference. Look at the VCount values and find the lowest and highest numeric values, and circle them as well. Do the same for VFrame.

Exit your DS Parameters Finder/Searcher and click on the settings for RNG Reporter or PPRNG.

Fill in the information you've gathered in the appropriate boxes(the three we left blank earlier), writing down your Timer0 range, VCount and VFrame values(lowest on top, highest on bottom for all). Save and exit your settings.

The Basics

Inherited Values(IVs)

Skip this section if you already understand IVs fully. IVs are a constant value between 0-31 that every pokemon has for each of their 6 stats, 0 being the lowest and 31 the highest. I've written a detailed guide for how to breed for IVs which can be found here: LINK. Another great guide can be found here.

Beyond a basic understanding of IVs though, all you'll need to know for RNG is that every pokemon has a specific IV spread for their six base stats. This can be anywhere from 0/0/0/0/0/0 to 31/31/31/31/31/31, or anything inbetween. Most pokemon have a spread something like 4/17/23/1/10/27, a random assortment of numbers from that range. Having a 4 in a pokemon's HP IV doesn't mean it has 4 as its HP stat, in fact it probably has far more than 4, it just means that the inhereted potential of that stat is 4. A pokemon that had a 31 IV in that same stat at the same level and species will have far more hit points.

For example, a wild pokemon with the 4 HP IV might have a 82 as its HP stat. A wild pokemon of the same species, gender and level with a 31 HP IV might have 130 in its HP stat. So obtaining higher IVs for your pokemon makes them far stronger. A pokemon's IVs can be calculated through an IV calculator, where you input its actual stats to get a readout of its IVs. These can be found with google easily. Getting higher IVs for your pokemon can be done in a variety of ways, but the fastest way is to use RNG to get them.

Frames

Your game has two initial frames that it starts with for wild encounter pokemon. An initial IV frame spread and an initial PID frame. They are only linked in that enough of an IV frame advance can shift the PID frame. PID frame cannot advance IV frame.

The IV frame will determine what IV spread the wild pokemon you encounter will have. That means that no matter what species, level, gender or nature the pokemon you encounter is, it will have identical stats to any other pokemon you encounter with the same IV frame. With each 128 steps your character takes(or turns) it will advance the IV frame by the number of pokemon in your party. Battles also advance the IV frame, by a lot, so the RNG we'll be using will be for the first battle only. Its a good idea to keep someone in your party who knows sweet scent so that you can always set the intial IV frame to 1 and then just remain stationary to find the pokemon you want. That will make it much easier to learn RNG initially. Also, every step your character takes advances your PID frame by 2, further making the first IV frame appealing to use for RNG.

The PID frame will determine what nature, gender, species and level the pokemon you encounter is. It will also tell you whether or not that pokemon's nature can be synchronized. So manipulating the PID frame (which won't advance the IV any, remember) will allow you to get multiple different species of pokemon with the same IVs, but different species, natures, genders and levels with identical IV spreads. To advance the PID frame, you need a chatot in your party. Chatot learns a special ability at level 21 called Chatter, which is a recorded sound using the DS microphone that overwrites his pokemon noise/call when you go to his summary page. Every time you put chatot into your PC, you will need to rerecord a new chatter for him since it will reset it back to his default call. Once you have a recorded chatter ready, going to chatot's summary page will advance the initial PID frame by 1. This will not work if chatot doesn't have a chatter recorded and is doing its default pokemon call.

Seeds

A seed is a game-specific date and time that will result in a particular pokemon IV spread. RNG Reporter and PPRNG are used to find these seeds (for the particular pokemon IV spread and whatever else you're looking for). Seeds are reusable (remember how I mentioned getting the same IV spread but with different species of pokemon, reusing the same seed is one way to do this, with some different PID values).

Seeds are very specific, and your game will always be one second behind the seed it is actually on (due to the one second loading screen between clicking to start the game and seeing the white nintendo logo). Not only are the specific to the time, but also to the DS/Lite, game and Timer0 Value. You cannot use someone elses seed time because it will not work because of this. More about seeds will be explained in the next post(hitting your first seed).

Breeding:

When two pokemon of the same species and opposite gender are put together in the daycare for long enough, an egg appears. This also works for any pokemon and a ditto, any two pokemon in the same egg group, or between two foreign pokemon(in the same egg group). The resulting egg will be the same species as the mother, sometimes with special moves from the father.

DW abilities are passed down only through female pokemon, and thusly cannot be bred for using a Ditto since Ditto becomes the default mother(although ditto cannot breed for more ditto). A pokemon's nature can be passed on if that parent is holding an everstone.

That's the gist of all you'll need to know about breeding for RNG abuse.

Hitting your 1st Seed

Obtaining a near-flawless/flawless IV spread pokemon

Open up your RNG reporter or PPRNG program and click standard seed search. Fill in the information for the pokemon you want to obtain, making sure to set the IV range to 1 out of 1 instead of 50. Don't mess with the shiny option or nature or ability(yet), right now we're just RNGing for IVs. Once you're confidant you can do that repeatedly, we'll RNG for those things in the next post. Under the section asking one or two keys, leave as many checked as you feel comfortable holding down for a few seconds. I will explain this later.

Change the date parameters to a wide range(several months to a year apart). This is so you have a large enough period to search that your program will be able to find a matching seed for the IVs you want.

Click search and let the program run. This can take anywhere from 30 minutes to hours depending on how large the window of time and how fast your computer is. Leave it alone until a few seeds start showing up.

Double click on a seed that you like (this will show you the exact IV spread for each beside the Timer0 and other values). This should open a new window in PPRNG (I don't know what it does in RNG Reporter, sorry), with the information at the top about the date of the seed, 3 tabs in the middle (Frames, Adjacent and Eggs), and two empty spreadsheets at the bottom. To ensure that the seed is not an error(it does happen sometimes), look to the top right corner and click "calculate" right under the seed date information. This will recalculate the seed value, and if it is a true seed this value will remain the same. If it doesn't, select another seed and try it there.

Now look at the two lower sections. Make sure you're on the frames tab, and click "Generate" for both sections. A chart of information should pop up in both spreadsheets. The left spreadsheet is your PID spreads(in order) and the right chart is your IV spreads(in order). So if you catch the first pokemon you encounter without moving your character using sweet scent, its IVs should be the same as those listed on the right(unless your DS switches its Timer0 value or you mess up).

Turn on your DS, enter your game and put in your party someone with sweet scent and an empty slot in your party. Go to an area with wild pokemon and face your character downward and save while in the cave or grass. You face the character downward just in case you are following along with someone else's guide who uses saves to advance the PID frame(much slower) for the next section, you won't be using PID in this post. Once you are done saving, turn off your DS.

Reset your DS, making sure that you are in manual start rather than autoplay. If you are in autoplay again, pop out your cartridge and set your DS to manual start. Go to your DS settings and change the time and date to exactly those listed on your seed. If the seconds value is low (10 or below) set it to a minute before the seed.

Now, we are going to hit this seed by resetting our DS one more time, and clicking to play the game one second before the second hand on the clock hits our seed time. Make sure its one second BEFORE the seed time or your seed will not work. If you correctly hit your seed, you should see the seconds hand advance that final frame to the target second after you've already pushed play.

If you chose one or two keys with your seed, hold down those buttons now until after the white Nintendo screen has faded. Click continue to play your game but make sure C-Gear is OFF. C-gear will mess up your PID initial frame, so from now onward just leave it off every time you load your game.

Go to your menu as soon as you're in the game(as quickly as you can) and use sweet scent. Capture the pokemon you encounter, even if it wasn't the species you were after(we'll learn how to do that in the next post). Take it to the IV judge in nimbasa or plug in its stats into an IV calculator (which can be found through google).

If the pokemon's IVs are identical to those you were after, congratulations! You hit your first seed.

If the pokemon's IVs weren't quite right, double check that you did everything correctly listed above. If so, click into the adjacent's tab and change the range to 50 with a differential of 15. Generate this spreadsheet and organize it by nature. Find the pokemon with the nature you caught, and then find its matching characteristic and IVs. Look to the left to see whether or not you hit the right seed time(even being off by one second will mess you up) and whether or not you landed on the right Timer0 for the seed. If you're a second late, you didn't click your seed a second early like you were suppose to. If you're a second early, go back to the start screen and practice clicking specific times until you can see the second hand move to the next second after you've clicked A to play.

Another way to check is to change the Timer0 value at the top of your seed to your alternate(everyone has at least two) and click calculate. Click generate on the right spreadsheet under the frames tab again. If the top IV spread is the one you got, then your game switched Timer0's. THIS CANNOT BE CONTROLLED. Your best bet is to figure out which seed your game hits more frequently of the two and then select an appropriate seed to use, or just repeatedly try for the same seed until it switches again. It will eventually switch again but you may have to try in the upwards of 30 times before it does.

My best advice if you didn't get the IV spread you were after is to try again and again until you do, checking the adjacent tab meanwhile to see where exactly you went wrong each time you miss it.

Discovering PID

Obtaining Shiny, Boosting natured and Species specific pokemon.

After you've successfully RNGed at least one flawless or near flawless IV spread, I reccomend you do it 3-5 more times for practice. Once you've got it figured out(and the species nature and ability of the pokemon you catch may vary depending on what area you chose to save at), read on to learn about PID frames(the left spreadsheet column) and how to RNG shinies and specific natures and species of pokemon.

First thing first, you need a chatter chatot in your party, with a recorded chatter. Go get one, and then fly to either lostlorn forest or victory road. These are two of the "quietest" PID areas in the game, which is why we'll be using them to learn about PID rather than somewhere with a lot of randomly spinning/moving NPCs(which advance the PID everytime they move). Face down and save your game.

If you want a shiny pokemon, click search standard seed and search for a shiny seed by checking the shiny box. If not, just reuse the same seed you used for your flawless/near flawless IV spread last time(this time we'll be using it to find a specific species or nature). For those of you just going for nature/species/gender/ability, skip the rest of this paragraph. For those who want a shiny, read on. Open up RNG reporter or PPRNG. Set your PID frames to somewhere between 50 and 100 for now. Don't mess with the IV information this time since finding a near flawless shiny seed can sometimes span more than 2 years to find(and even then isn't a guarantee that you'll be able to find one). Click search using a narrow time window(a few months range) for a wild shiny.

Once you've found a seed you like, double click it and double check the seed by recalculating it at the top. Generate both spreadsheet columns and scroll down on the left spreadsheet to around number 40-50. Initial PID will almost always be between 40 and 70, and is usually close to 50.

The column for ability will list pokemon's abilities by 0s and 1s which correspond to the two wild abilities of any pokemon. The ESV(encounter slot) column will tell you which species you will encounter (more details in the following paragraph). Natures are also listed, with a Y under the sync column if they can be synchronized(a special pokemon ability to guarantee a specific nature).

So the encounter slot column is determined by a numerical value which corresponds to a column from this chart.
Pokemon White Encounter Slots Chart
Pokemon Black Encounter Slots Chart
So if the nature you want is corresponded with the number 2, then depending on which area you're in, you can determine exactly which species of pokemon that will result in when you hit that PID frame. Its easy to tell which pokemon you've encountered by looking at their level, species and nature and then cross checking it with the ESV column of your RNG reporter or PPRNG program.

The easiest way to get the exact pokemon you're after with the right nature, species and IV set is to find a PID frame that has a synchronizable nature, the right ESV column for the species, and the intial IV frame you want. Don't forget to put a synchronizer in the top of your party with the nature you want.

For those who just want a shiny pokemon, you'll need to find a shiny seed for the right ESV slot for the species you want. If you also want a particular nature, search for another synchronizable shiny seed(much easier than searching for a specific nature shiny).

Obtaining your first shiny/specific pokemon

Much as we did when we first calibrated your DS and game cartridge, we are now going to set our game to exact date and time for the seed we decided upon in the previous post. Find a seed with the initial frame of 1 and an IV spread you like, or search for a seed that has a shiny PID frame of under 100. Now open up the spread, and look down the list for an ESV section that corresponds to the appropriate slot number/s for the pokemon species you want(If you're RNGing for a shiny, you may only have 2 or 3 options available per seed). If it says Y under the sync column, bring along a synchronize pokemon with the nature you're after as well(these need to be on the top of your party to be effective). Hopefully this pokemon has a low PID number (preferably under 100 since most initial PIDs are around 50).

Look to the left of the row, and memorize the number it is listed as. So if the pokemon you want is on the 86th row, memorize 86.

Set up your game as if you were going to RNG for a flawless or near flawless IV spread just like last time, making sure to stay either in lostlorn forest or victory road, where the initial PID frames are "quieter" than other areas.

We are now going to hit the seed a few times over to find out our initial PID frame.

Just as before, change your DS clock to the appropriate time, leaving one open space in your party and a sweet scent-er. Hit the seed and immediately sweet scent as soon as you get into the game(this is a more important habit later when you try PID RNGing in other areas with more randomly spinning NPCs). Catch the first thing you battle, in a masterball if you have one.

Okay so from the pokemon you just captured, we are now going to determine our initial PID frame. It will be easier to determine your initial PID frame before you put any synchronize pokemon at the top of your party, so save without the synchronizer on top unless you're feeling daring. Make sure you have a chatter chatot in your party as well.

First, what species is it, and what level? This will narrow down your options to only pokemon that fall into the appropriate ESV column. So if you caught something that only appears in slot 3, look for a 3 under the ESV column around level 40-60. Now look at the nature and gender of the pokemon. If you synchronized it, for this part look in the synchronize column to see if there is a Y underneath it. If you caught a female and the gender column says M/M/M/M, keep looking. If its divided 50/50 like M/M/F/F, that could be the pokemon you caught. Finally, look at the characteristic and IV spread(using an IV calc or the IV judge to determine its IV spread) on the adjacent tab. Organize by nature if you didn't synchronize, and organize by characteristic if you did.

If you hit the wrong Timer0, wrong seed, or the pokemon you caught doesn't match anything, just reset your game and retry, this time being sure to hold down the appropriate buttons and hit the seed at the right time.

The pokemon you caught has a number to the left of its row as well as the one you're after. Memorize this number as well(it is likely between 40 and 60).

So if you got an initial PID frame of 48, and your target is 86, your new magic number is 38. How did we get 38? Well if you start your game, hit your seed, and capture the first thing you see with sweet scent, its going to land on your initial PID frame(in this example, 48 ) or very near that over and over. Initial PID frames can and will shift depending on how "noisy" an area is, but since we're using lostlorn forest or victory road it shouldn't shift by more than 2 PID frames. But the pokemon you want is still on frame 86(again, in this example only). So what to do? Subtract 48 from 86 of course. That is how many times you will flipping to the summary page of your chatot to advance your PID frames.

Set up your game with your synchronizer on top(if you're using one). Resave your game(making sure you still have any open slot in your party and didn't save after using your masterball).

Hit your seed, but this time when you get into the game, instead of sweet scenting immediately, click on chatot's summary page(making sure you have a chatter recorded that isn't the default). Flip between chatot and any other pokemon in your party using the up or down buttons, counting the number of times you see chatot's summary page. When you've reached your magic number(in my example, 38 ), use sweet scent. Capture the first pokemon you see, and if it is the right species and ESV/shininess, catch it as though for real. If it isn't just use a masterball.

Doublecheck that the pokemon you caught is the right one. If it clearly isn't(wrong species etc), use the same method listed above to determine which PID frame you DID land on, and adjust your magic number if appropriate. If you don't see the pokemon you caught anywhere on the PID spread, go the adjacent tabs and set it to search in the range of the PID frame target (in my example I'd set it to 80 with a discrepency of 10).

Breeding

So you should by now know how to RNG abuse to catch wild near flawless pokemon, or PID RNG shiny for specific species or natured pokemon. But that still raises the question, how do you RNG a flawless shiny boosted nature gender-preference specific ability etc pokemon all at once?

The solution is not as complicated as any of the previous methods, all you have to do is use PID RNG while breeding.

The only differences between PID RNG in the wild and PID RNG while breeding are that the initial frame will be 8 of 8 instead of 1 of 1 (so use standard egg searcher instead of standard seed searcher), and you'll have to input the parent's IVs into the RNG Reporter or PPRNG program (whereas before you only had to input the IVs of the pokemon you were searching for). PID RNG while breeding is only more difficult than wild PID RNG in that you have to hatch the eggs you receive before you can determine which PID Frame you landed on.

The pokemon is generated the moment you talk to the daycare man, rather than the second you use sweet scent, so saving right in front of the daycare man is ideal. I will explain in greater detail how to breed a flawless shiny whatever else pokemon in the next post.

Breeding your first RNG Abused Pokemon

Using the egg see searcher, find a seed for the appropriate IV, nature and ability pokemon you're after. Make sure you mark down the IVs of the parents correctly. Do not use power items on either parent, although using an everstone or a ditto can be marked and adjusted from within the program. If you are using an international parent, mark that down as well.

Put the two pokemon parents you used in the search in the daycare. Bike around outside the daycare until the old man calls you over. Instead of picking up the egg, save your game directly in front of him with a chatot in your party and an empty slot as well. For convenience and speed, bring a pokemon who has the flame body ability as well.

Turn off your game. Reset your game's date and time to that of the seed, and then reset your DS. At the exact second before your seed, enter your game while holding down any required hold buttons(much like wild or PID RNG).

Pick up the egg from the daycare man and hatch it, I reccomend keeping a flame body pokemon in your party for speedy egg hatching. Determine your initial PID much like you did while learning PID RNG earlier. Reset your game and rehit your seed, and shift the PID frame forward the appropriate number of chatots before taking the egg from the daycare man again. Hatch this egg and determine its PID frame.

It probably won't be right. This is because the route the daycare couple live on, is not "quiet" like victory road or lostlorn forest. There are several NPCs that spin in random directions at random intervals, and you cannot control this. The average PID shift on the route is about 5 PID frames. You will probably have to hatch 10 or so eggs(adjusting your chatot number each time) before you hit the right PID frame.

Try again, with an adjusted PID value depending on what you hatched last. Keep hitting the seed and PID shifting to the target frame(readjusting your chatot number each time it hatches before or after the target) until you get the pokemon you wanted.

Troubleshooting

The most common issues that prevent people from being able to RNG correctly are human-error, Timer0, and shifting intial PID frames.

The most frequent reason for RNG to fail is human error. If you didn't calibrate your DS parameters correctly, or you forgot to hold down a button while trying to hit a seed, or missed it by even a second, you won't get the right results. Maybe you typed in the wrong values into the RNG reporter/PPRNG seed/egg searcher, and didn't realize it. Or maybe you have your DS set to the wrong date and didn't realize it. Or chatot's chatter got reset when you put it in the PC and you forgot to resave another chatter for it. Double check that everything you're doing is absolutely correct, and then triple check again. Recalculate your seed to make sure it wasn't a false positive(if the spread changes when you regenerate it, it was). If that still doesn't work, see the other factors that can cause problems below.

There is nothing you can do if your Timer0 value is switching except use a different seed, and it happens all the time. Timer0 is completely uncontrollable, and the only method for hitting the right Timer0 value with your seed is to just keep trying over and over until you hit it. This can take anywhere between 1 and 30 tries depending on how often your DS switches between the two Timer0 values it has (sometimes games can have more than 2 as well). I reccomend finding at least two different seeds for the same results you want, one on your most common Timer0 Value and one your less common Timer0 value in case it switches between the two. You can alter your Timer0 Value as well and regenerate the list of IVs that result to see where on the other seed you are at.

Now if you're not trying to RNG a shiny or a shiny flawless, PID frame shifts won't be a problem, but if you are, its a good idea to immediately catch or hatch the first egg/pokemon you encounter several times to get the range of your PID frame shifts (as best you can). These can change with the seasons as well, so don't switch between different seeds from different times in the year unless you are planning to recalibrate your initial PID frame. The number of randomly moving NPCs in the area(those that rotate or spin in place) can also affect how much the initial PID frame will shift. Scripted NPCs(those that walk in a specific path, back and forth) or who stand stationary will not affect your initial PID frame. Just being out of sight of them won't make them not affect you either, if you are on the same route as they are (anywhere on that route), you will have to deal with the initial PID shifts they cause. The If you're having difficulty hitting the right PID frame, I'd reccomend trying to RNG in a calmer area like Victory Road or Lostlorn forest. And again, double check that chatter has a recorded noise(even if its silence) to make sure your manual efforts to shift the PID aren't in vain.

FAQ

I did everything you said and it didn't work! What is wrong with the program/what I'm doing?

Reread the whole first page and make sure you did EVERYTHING I said to do, even if it seemed unimportant like saving in a specific location. Try to RNG your pokemon again. Then try again. Then try again. RNG-ing is a process, not an absolute guarantee. You have to keep trying multiple times before you'll hit the seed, every time. If you are breeding and using PIDRNG-ing, make sure you haven't got any power items attached to either pokemon, they can mess up the resulting IV frames. Timer0 switches(uncontrollable) can also mess up the gerenated pokemon by switching your seed. There is no fix for this, and your best bet would be to recalibrate your DS parameters to see exactly how many seeds you are flipping between(so that you can then look at the resulting pokemon for all of them).

No, really. I'm sure I did everything right, why isn't it working?

It could be the program being imperfect(it does happen sometimes, usually involving characteristics listed being faulty), but it is almost always your own fault or Timer0. Double check that you've got everything set properly(especially for the IVs of two breeding pokemon, and whether or not you're using an everstone or foreign parent) and regenerate the resulting list. If you still can't get it to work, post questions and hopefully someone will know the answer. Also read through the troubleshooting section.

How do I RNG abuse in Giant Chasm? The fog makes it impossible to use sweet scent!

You need to save your game as though you were going to be RNGing, and then change the date to the next season(a month forward). Get into a random battle, and the fog will have cleared afterward. Save your game again, and this time change the date back to the seed time. This time when you enter the game the fog will be gone.

While breeding nidoran for a specific PID frame but I got the wrong gender! What gives?

Since the mechanic in the game for determining nidoran's gender is separate from all other normal gender generated pokemon, the RNG value for it can be wrong as well, so you might have to use more than one seed to find the right one for the nidoran you're after(male or female).

If I'm fishing/surfing/in a cave, which initial IV frame do I need to search a seed for?

One. Your starting IV frame should always 1 unless you're breeding, in which case its 8. Why? Because its easier to see where you went wrong if you're only manipulating one of the two frames(and the PID frame will shift given a specific amount of steps if you set your IV frame too high, so just use initial IV frame of one for easier RNG-ing).

How do I find a specific pokemon in a dust cloud or surfing spot then?

You catch them first regularly, wild from the dust cloud or surfing spot(It sure is nice not to have to worry about frames for everything, huh?). Or you trade to get yourself a copy of them. Then you take that one over to the daycare with a ditto(or a female of its species if its male, or an eggmove father from its egg group if its female) and put them both in. Then you search for a seed so you can PIDRNG the resulting egg value you're after. Voila, dust cloud/surfing spot RNG complete without having to worry about changing your IV frame.

Can I RNG in the entree forest for dream world pokemon?

Honestly, this is another case where I reccomend just breeding instead of trying to master C-gear RNG. There are probably ways of doing it(although I don't know them myself), but they are more difficult than the other methods explained in this thread. You cannot RNG in the actual entree forest(to the best of my knowledge) but you can RNG breed the female DW pokemon for DW ability offspring in the daycare.

Also your pokemon will retain its gender from dreamworld no matter what you do, so if you brought back a male, you're stuck with it being male(and being unable to pass on the dreamworld ability), sorry.

Don't try to RNG breed a DW female pokemon with a ditto either, only use eggmove fathers from the same egg group or species. Since Ditto becomes the default mother no matter what, the dreamworld ability won't be passed on since only the mother can pass it on.

Additional Useful Information:

Ferrothorn
You can search for wild shinies in areas with roamers, all you have to do is find your Shifted Starting Frame, like you do when breeding. Only thing is it ranges from 40 to the thousands.

If one is trying to search for a low frame flawless and there isn't enough room for a sweet scenter, the remedy is the item Honey, which does the same exact thing as sweet scent. Honey can be found on wild Combee east of Lacunosa on Route 12.

I know you can't control it, but Timer0 hasn't been bothering me that much when I started to Press A (to go to the Pokemon Black/White menu) at the same time.

Two chatots instead of one make breeding/searching a lot faster, since you can flip back and forth between them. You also do not have to listen to the full cry, you can just mute it and press up/down however many times you need. Having two also helps confirm that you did it right, since if the # of taps was an odd number, you would end up on the Chatot you started on, and if the Target was an even number, you would end up on the second chatot. This usually helps me know if I accidentally skipped one or if I went one over.

There are some quiet areas that have moving NPCs. It's only the ones that randomly twitch that mess you up. The ones that move in a set path are still 'quiet'. Examples include Routes 4 and 9.
