This has been happening to be quite frequently lately. My mom says it shows that I am open minded towards the music even when I don't enjoy the artist. I suppose that that is a good thing.

Anyway, are there any songs that you enjoy listening to by artists you never thought you would?

For me:

Holy Water - Big and Rich
The Broken Road - Rascal Flatts
When I Think About Cheatin' - Gretchen Wilson

Gah, how can you hate RF? I mean, just LOOK at Joe Don, he's enough to MAKE YOU LOVE THEM. sweatdrop

I'm that way with "There's Your Trouble" by the Dixie Chicks, and "Suddenly" by LeAnn Rimes.

I don't hate RF, I don't know them. wink However, I do dislike their sound (a little nasally for me) and I don't personally think any of them are that great looking. Yes, even Joe Don. I'm one less gal that you'll have to beat out of the way. redface I mean no offense by it, they're just not really my style.

Your mentioning of the Dixie Chicks reminds me of another one on my list but be danged if I can remember the name right now. Oohh... I think it's called On Top Of The World. I like that song a lot and generally run from the Dixie Chicks!

I admit that Gary's voice sorta sucks... but yeah, there's always an alternative certain guitarist that makes the band worthwhile for me blaugh

Off of the top of my head I would say:

The Broken Road - Rascal Flatts
Stays in Mexico - Toby Keith

[ Captain Obvious ]

Bloody Red Roses

I agree with Crimson Betrayal about Stays in Mexico.

That only happens when it comes to anything but country. I love everyone in country, but I really dislike the Dixie Chicks, however I listen to a lot of their songs because they're pretty good. I don't particularly like Big & Rich, but they're songs are great.

On Launch.com I listen to the country songs all the time. Right now I'm listening to Drive by Alan Jackson (I love Remember When and Monday Morning Church biggrin )

My all time favorite song is God's Will by Martina McBride. It's touches me in a pretty close way.

I don't remember whether Gretchen Wilson's new hit is "Homewrecker" or "Heartbreaker" but whichever, I like that song and don't really like Gretchen. Also -
Nothin' To Lose - Josh Gracin
Huckleberry - Toby Kieth (or Keith, I don't know)

And "Stay With Me (Brass Bed)" - Josh Gracin
I don't like any songs by him other than those two.
