Obscurus Loona Wynd Obscurus I used to but not so much anymore. Why not? Change of interests and lack of time. I see. It is an essential part of the training in the Temple tradition as well as in the books in the traditional witchcraft I am reading as well as any shamanistic (anthropological term) work.

I mostly did it for astral projection and energy circulation. This is more spiritual. It is also related to the mysteries of the elements which are the mysteries of the different degrees in the tradition. The first degree is the mystery of fire, which he associates with psychic sight. This is common and public knowledge. Now there are things I can't divulge like the monthly rituals to complete the training and gain access to the mysteries.

I'm not that big on spiritual stuff anymore. I'm also not big on super stuffy traditions.

For me my trance work helps me to explore the unseen aspects of this reality that have an influence and impact on the physical or seen aspects of this reality. There is that which is seen and that which is unseen. In my experience it seems that the reams of that which is unseen are much more vast that than of the reams of the seen.

I do quite a bit of trance work, actually. It's just the way I've always practiced. Not sure why, just felt natural for me to do.

Loona Wynd Do you have any specific trance techniques? I mostly get myself into a trance with singing, chanting and dancing. Music helps, especially drum work.

Dragoness Arleeana Loona Wynd Do you have any specific trance techniques? I mostly get myself into a trance with singing, chanting and dancing. Music helps, especially drum work. Interesting. I use recorded drumming. The disk I use is one created specifically for the tradition that I belong to. It works really well for me. I also use a count down method, but typically a recorded message. I have gotten myself down with out a recording before and guided my own journey. It was a very interesting experience, but not one I could repeat now as its been a while.

I don't need anything to help put me into a trance. I've done it so much that I can pretty much do it on cue. I just prefer to have the right atmosphere and tone.
