Rozmačkaný eyed the blooms of Suri's flowers with a critical eye. What could he do to surprise her? He knew very little of tending flowers, so he could not surprise her that way. The juve had been trying to think of something all morning, and was coming up with a blank. Suddenly it hit him. He could pain them! Not anything perminent that would harm them, but he certainly could paint them to surprise her. Rozmačkaný went running for some paints made with water that he used to use to paint the rocks of the family den. A good rain always washed those away, so they shouldn't hurt the flowers. Suri would be so surprised when she saw the flowers all painted up. He returned with the paints and set to work in short order. He wasn't sure what he had in mind to put on them, but that did not stop him from starting on his project. When the job was done, Roz sat back on his haunches and looked at the flowers. Some were spotted, some were striped, all had some bit of color added to them. He could not wait to see Suri's face. He made sure to take the paints back and hoped he would be back by the time Suri arrived.

One over Three Suri had found herself with an unexpected bit of free time and was eager to get back to her little water bed. The days had been so long and hot recently with not a sign of rain in the sky. The little plants would be thirsty and here she'd been neglecting them this whole time. Rounding the last bend before heading out into the open field where her little bed was she found herself already muttering aloud. "Forgive me, forgive me!" When her flowers did come into view she was met with the most unexpected sight. Red! Her flowers were red! Her heart began beating faster, yet it seemed like not a word could have escaped her lips even if she had wanted to speak. Had someone been killed here? Please, she begged to no one in particular, don't let me take the blame for someone else's crime! For the first time in her life she was fairly certain she was about to faint.

Roz tried to trot as best he could without panting too much. The heat was going to kill him if he went too fast. Roz was grateful, not for the first time, that he was colored like his father instead of the dark black and grey pelt like his brother bore. This heat would have killed him for sure! How his brother managed, Roz was not sure, but he certainly did not want to find out either. He rounded the other side of a rock just as Suri got to the flower bed and he was thankful for not being too late. This was going to be a fun expression, he was sure! He hurried forward all the faster, the idea of the heat and panting, now lost in his excitement. He got in front of the female to catch her expression and giggled a little at it. She looked like she was going to pass out from shock! "Banu Suri, do you like your flowers? I painted them myself." Roz was well aware she was likely going to claw him to death. It made the prank no less amusing really. It certainly made her expression at the sight no less amusing. Seeing her all wide eyed like that was just priceless! He would cherish the memory for the rest of his life, which come to think of it, might not be that long, given the circumstances.

one over three Hearing the strange voice she wanted to run but when she tried to move her feet it felt as though they were stuck to the ground. Slowly she turned away from her precious garden to look at the person who'd spoken. It was... Roz? For a moment she felt as though her heart had stopped. What was he doing here! He wouldn't taddle, would he? He.... wait... "You? You painted my flowers? It's paint?!"

Roz watched the way she moved how panicked she looked until his words sunk in. It was just too funny. He grinned and giggled a bit more. The way she asked about him painting them and then about it being paint made him double over laughing. What had she thought it was? He had to know that now. "Yes, I. I painted your flowers." "Of course it is paint... what did you think it was?" Roz raises his eyebrow at her questioningly. This was sure to be good, especially coming from Suri. She was the most paranoid banu ever, or so Roz believed. Then again, Roz also believed she was the most awesome banu ever, so his opinions might be slightly twisted. He waited for an answer from her and was coming up with a blank on what she could have thought it to be. His little mind was not morbid enough to think of blood when he knew what it really was first. In Suri's place, he might have come to her conclusion, but well, his reaction would have been to bolt for someone else to come see what it was.

one over three "It's just paint," she felt her knees wobble a bit. In it's own way the relief was almost wose then the innitial shock. "What do you mean, what do I think it is! It looks like someone splashed blood all over my flowers! What possesed you to do that!" It wasn't often that she was shaken enough to loose all compsure and snap at a pad. With anyone else it may have been a grave mistake. Fortunatly for her it wasn't just any old pad she was mid way through snapping at. Still feeling wobbly, she sat down, back legs out too one side. "My flowers..."

Roz looked at the flowers and then back at Suri. "Blood? You know, I did not think of that when I chose the color... I should have picked the orange, I guess." He went over to the banu and put a paw on her shoulder, trying to make sure she was okay. She did not look so well, and as amusing as the prank was, he did not want her to be harmed by it. Now that he knew where she had gone with it, he could understand her reaction a bit better. If she thought it looked like blood, then she likely thought someone had been hurt or killed. With what little he understood of her, she likely went to the worst possible outcome of that situation. "I wanted to surprise you!" "And well, I did... but I was not expecting you to think it was blood. I was expecting you to be shocked, yes, but not like THAT." Roz gave her the cutest look he could muster, which wasn't hard really. "I am sorry, Banu Suri. I meant it as a harmless prank, I did not mean to truly upset you." Okay so seeing her upset to a certain degree was amusing, but this was not what he had had in mind at all.

one over three "It's ok..." the small part of her mind that was still thinking clearly was shocked that she was so ready to forgive him. "I over reacted... It... it does come off, right?" She looked back over at him. As bad as that shock had been now that she knew she no one was hurt and she wouldn't be in trouble everything seemed just fine again. On the other hand, if he'd harmed her flowers... "I really should have gotten closer before I jumped to conclusions..." then again there was no way she would have been able to get much closer as scared as she'd been. Normaly she would have drawn away from his paw. Just this once though, she didn't seem to mind in the least.

Roz was going to tell her the truth, but it seemed like it might be more amusing this way. "Come off? Well...." He was not lying, but the way he paused he knew her mind would go to the wrong answer. He really did push his boundries with her a lot. She seemed to always forgive him though. That was the important part. He braced himself for the wrath he was sure was coming. She was not going to take the idea of her flowers being like that forevre well. He would have to be prepared to quickly tell her the rest of the answer and get away if she looked mad enough to strike at him. The second part did not seem too likely

one over three She didn't strike, but she did become quite quiet, ears drooping. "You didn't kill them did you?"
