 Alexis stood still on the flat land, staring at the blue lake in front of her. With her feather-shaped necklace clutched in her left hand, and her guitar in her right hand, she felt empty inside. Staring at the still water, she tapped a foot. She felt alone, but strangely, Alexis felt like someone was watching her from afar.

Luka walked towards the lake wearing a white teethat says 'I'm so awesome that I don't need anything to say to be awesome', green swim trunks and a pair of flip-flops. He saw a girl there with a guitar. He walked up from behind her and said "Hey. Who are you?" Luka went to the lake everyday in the morning to swim while the sun was bright. Now a girl was here? Everyone knew he liked to concentrate and swim alone....but she wasn't wearing a swimsuit. So what was she doing there?

Alexis turned her head, looking at the boy who approached her. She had never been in this area. Maybe she passed private territory?
"Alexis. Why do you ask?"
Alexis turned around fully as her attention was brought to his shirt. She read it, trying to hold back a laugh.

Luka looked at her. "New, huh?" he said. She was trying to hold back a laugh. "Yeah, Mom bought me this shirt when I found out I was a demigod. She was trying to make me feel better since she knew about all the monsters." He sighed and looked at the waves. "I miss her." he murmured. Luka broke free from his ssadness and blushed.

"Demigods? As in, half human half god?"
Alexis thought about demigods, remembering stories about them, because she never really thought myths were real.
"I never knew my mother. The only thing I have from my family is this necklace."
Alexis holds the necklace up; a silver, feather shaped charm hanging on the chain.

Luka raised his eyebrow. "Well, you're a demigod too!" He looked at Alexis. Then at the neckalce. "Then, your godly mom has a bird for a sacred animal. I know a couple goddesses with an bird for a sacred animal." Luka looked out at the sea. Sometimes, he had a hard time with goddesses. They all hated him for some reason. Maybe because his dad flirted with them. Luka thought for a moment. He smirked remembering that one time when Apollo flirted with Athena. Not smart, dad. he thought.

Alexis' eyes widened. A goddess? Her mother? Alexis couldn't believe her ears.
"My mom? A goddess? Gods don't exist. They've all been myths!"
Alexis wanted to believe in those myths, but she had no proof that they existed. Then Alexis realized, she had been talking to a complete stranger.
"Who are you?"

Luka looked at her strangely. "Well you are here, aren't you?" He grinned. "Now you ask me. I'm Luka. You can call me Luke. I'm a son of Apollo." He looked at the bright blue sky and the fluffy, white clouds.

"To be honest, I don't know where I am. I haven't found anything in this blasted forest but you."
Alexis sighed, looking up to the sky as Luka did. Could Alexis trust him?
She tried to make shapes out of the clouds. Then she looked back to Luka, apologizing.
"Sorry. It's just that I have no idea where I am, or even how I got here.. Luke, are those gods even real?"

Luka said "This is Camp Half-Blood. Everyone here are demigods. Except the activities directr, Chiron. He's a centaur. Mr. D. was punished before and he had to be the director guy here." A sly smiled crept onto his face. "You'll have to wait and see at the Winter Solcsitice." He sat down on the sand and stared out to the lake. All the new demigods are like this. he thought with a smirk. (Watching Transformers 2, I think XD)

Alexis didn't think she had time to wait until the Winter Solstice. She had no idea what-so-ever where she was staying. Then she thought of the chances that demigods were real. She didn't understand herself, sometimes. Usually she was stubborn, being strong willed and such, but she was actually believing Luka! There was something about him that she seemed to trust already.
"So, what you're saying is, that there are gods, demigods, and centaurs are real, and that I'm a demigod?"
(Nice. xD I like those suspenseful movies.)

Luka nodded then said "And there's a bad side to it" Luka smiled and said in a girly voice "We're, like, not allowed to use phones!!!! At all!!!!!!" He grinned.

Alexis cracked a smile. She couldn't help but laugh, as she said back to him,
"No way! That is so, like, unfair!"
and sat down by him. She laid her guitar across her lap, smiling from the joke.

Luka looked at her and said "We actually can't use our phones. It attracts monsters. Monsters are the actual bad side." he frowned. He had crossed lots of monsters ever since he found out that he was a demigod. "And when you become a demigod, your scent becomes stronger, so more monsters find you."
