 Username: Gromit of VulcanCharacter Name: Dorian LombardiAge: 11 (Eleven)History: Dorian was born to Irving Lombardi, a test pilot stationed in Mistralton City, and his wife Amber, a businesswoman associated with Silph Co. As a result of their professions, Irving and Amber moved around quite a bit, though never going to the same place together, meaning Dorian was sometimes left without either parent, being looked after by his uncle Dewey. Dorian didn't blame his parents for their absence, seeing it as just the way things were, but that all changed on his fifth birthday. His father had returned the previous day in order to be around for his son's special day, but his mother hadn't been able to get free until the early hours of the morning. Dorian waited in the sitting room all day for her to arrive, even as his father and uncle tried to engage him in the party they threw for him. Dorian was still waiting for her the next day when his father had to explain that his mother was 'going away for a while' - Dorian later found understood that this meant she had died trying to get home that day. Dorian withdrew from his father and uncle, becoming an extremely quiet and introverted child, something which wasn't solved even by his father giving up his job as a roaming test pilot and settling in Mistralton to look after his son.
Irving wasn't a perfect father - he drove Dorian on to be strong, not quite hiding his disappointment if Dorian didn't respond in the way he was hoping, and he always encouraged Dorian to use Flying-type Pokemon and develop an interest in aeronautics; all to no avail. Dorian seemed to reject Flying-types completely, and to this day, every Airfix model, every aircraft poster his father bought for him, lies neatly wrapped up in his bedroom closet. Instead, he seemed to show interest in Pokemon that went contrary to Flying-types - indeed, his very first Pokemon was a Cubchoo. His uncle was looking after him at the time, but the moment his back was turned, five year old Dorian sneaked out of the house and made his way towards Twist Mountain, where amongst the scary Boldore and intimidating Excadrill, he found a Cubchoo, about his age, being mothered. The Beartic, rather than attacking Dorian for going near its cub, decided to let the two children play, and they played for hours until Irving and his brother found young Dorian. His father ripped Dorian away from his playmate, but the moment his back was turned, his uncle caught the Cubchoo, catching the Beartic for himself so that she knew where her baby was going - later, the uncle gave Dorian the Cubchoo, driving Irving into a near frenzy. He continued to buck the trend by winning a Tybalt Zevon phone-in contest to get a Sandile. His father was furious again, but upon seeing the boy with his Pokemon, couldn't find it in him to take the Sandile away.
As a result of all of this, Dorian and Irving don't have the best relationship. Irving is disappointed that Dorian doesn't want to follow in his footsteps, and Dorian can't forgive his father for the way he reacted to Yogi coming into the house. They do still love each other very much, however, and despite all the grievances, they are still immensely close - while Irving can't help but wish Dorian wanted to follow him, he knows he can't stop the boy from doing what he wants; especially when it comes to starting his Pokemon journey.Home Town: Mistralton City, Unova.Personality: Dorian is extremely quiet and introverted - he doesn't make friends very easily, if at all, and his closest friends are all Pokemon. He's naturally deferential and polite, but thanks to his father's somewhat overbearing personality, he has been known to rebel against authority, even if he does it in a quiet way. When he's with his Pokemon, a different side comes out to him - he's louder, laughs more, and he talks more as well. Username: Silver_Rockstar318 Character Name: Landon Drake Age: 26 History: Landon Drake, the Icirrus City Gym Leader and Ground-type specialist, is a quiet and seemingly cold man. Born in the town of Striaton, he lived with his parents and two older brothers, in what seemed like an ordinary stay-at-home family. However, most people were unaware of what was going on behind those closed doors. Landon and his brothers were constantly abused by their parents, for even the smallest of things. Landon usually got the worst of it though, being the youngest. When he turned 16, the police finally caught on to what was going on, the parents were arrested, and Landon and his brothers were brought to an orphanage, where they would hopefully find a new home. Eventually, the boys found new families to live with, though separate now, as the two older brothers moved to different regions. Landon’s new family brought him to live in Icirrus, as an only child at 17, where he would stay until he turned 19. He moved out after that time, seeking his own life to live. He somewhat resented his adopted family, despite being treated with the love and respect that he was denied in his old life. Not willing to look back, he set out to become a Pokémon Trainer, something he had wanted to do his entire life. His first Pokémon, which he obtained from an elderly man from a distant region, was a young Diglett, which has since become Landon’s source of motivation and encouragement. Whenever the man is feeling down, his Diglett (now named Chichi) knows just how to pick him back up, occasionally even bringing a smile to his stony face. Because of Chichi’s constant sunny disposition, Landon had developed a liking for Ground-types, and focused on catching them specifically. His team had since increased, having successfully captured a Drilbur (now his Excadrill, Alexander), a Golett (now his Golurk, Sampson), a Tympole (now his Seismitoad, Marcus), and a Sandile (now his Krookodile, Octavius). He had also acquired a Hippopotas (Lucius, which has since evolved into a Hippowdon) from a global trade, and uses him on his team as much as the rest of his Pokémon. After wandering and training for so long, he decided to take on his new hometown’s Gym Leader, Brycen. Despite being at a complete type disadvantage, Landon still managed to triumph over the Ice-typer, securing his first gym badge. However, the badge was not the only thing he had earned. As a sign of respect for the young man, Brycen offered Landon the chance to succeed him as Icirrus City’s Gym Leader. After some deliberation, the Striaton native accepted, becoming the city’s new Gym Leader at the age of 23. To this day, the physical and emotional abuse that his parents subjected him to continue to leave their mark on his psyche, causing him to distance himself from others. His cold, almost uncaring attitude seems to reflect the heart of the mountainous city of Icirrus. Though he is not completely incapable of affection, he still prefers to keep to himself, forever tending to the scars left from his former life. Home Town: Striaton City Gym: Icirrus City - The gym is set up like an underground maze, with rock walls that open when the challenger finds the correct switch. Trainers are posted to guard each of the switches, so the challenger must take caution when approaching each one. The switches are also located separately from the movable walls, so the challenger must also backtrack to find which wall was opened. When the challenger reaches the end, they will find Landon sitting upon what appears to be a throne made of earth, with a large sand pit in front of him. Character Name: Lauri Sunderson
Age: 24
History: The elder of a pair of identical twins, Lauri(along with her sister Naomi) was born and raised in the chilly northern City of Icirrus. Each girl had her own dreams; Lauri's was to become a Dragon-type specialist, the tales from nearby Opelucid City fascinating her from an early age. When the twins' tenth birthday rolled around, they journeyed to Nuvema Town with their parents, each girl getting their first pokemon - Lauri chose the Grass-type Snivy(Corvair), mostly due to his unique coloration. After each getting their first pokemon, the twins parted ways, wanting to venture out into Unova on their own.
Naturally, some of her first stops included Striaton, Nacrene, Castelia, and Nimbasa. During her training in the afore-mentioned Cities, she captured two more pokemon: her male Carracosta(Tortuga)(after being revived from a Cover Fossil) and her female Swanna(Sasha). But these weren't Dragon-type pokemon...although they(combined with Corvair's efforts) did manage to help Lauri in catching her next two pokemon: her shiny Fraxure(Walker), and - a novel surprise - a rare, shiny Haxorus(Lalyx). Not long after that - while, ironically, training to take on her hometown's Gym Leader -, she caught another 'fascinating' Dragon-type(caught at DragonSpiral Tower). This, of course, would be her female Druddigon(Ruby); Ruby, unlike her fellow Druddigon, had a rather sweet disposition.
Then came the fun part. After soundly beating the incumbent Opelucid Gym Leader, the City's mayor - Drayden - gave Lauri the option of coming back to become the new Gym Leader. She quickly agreed, although she insisted that she needed to do a good deal more training first. Drayden agreed, and pointed her in the direction of Victory Road, home of an interestingly-typed Dragon pokemon: Deino. Not only did she manage to catch a Deino(male, Tobi), but she came across its evolved form: a Zweilous(female, Tsubaki).
After a sound curb-stomping of the Unova Elite Four, Lauri returned to the DragonSpiral Tower(where she found Ruby). One extensive fishing session later, she had two more Dragon-types: Dragonair(Yuna) and Dragonite(Cid). A veritable arsenal of Dragon-type pokemon at her disposal, Lauri returned to the Opelucid Gym, issuing a challenge to the incumbent Gym Leader, a young girl named Iris. Her extensive(she had learned everything possible about the type) knowledge of Dragon-types paying off, it wasn't all that hard for Lauri to defeat Iris, the silver-haired woman earning the right to call herself the Opelucid Gym Leader.
In recent months, Lauri has made a complete overhaul of the Gym's layout, chaning it to fit her tastes better. Challengers have tried to best her, but her knowledge of Dragon-type pokemon is all but un-paralleled.
Home Town: Icirrus City, Unova region
Gym: Opelucid City Gym - The layout for the Opelucid Gym is in a wizard's chess-like style, with moving platforms that have the Gym Trainers on them(in lieu of chess pieces). Dragon-shaped statues hide the switches needed to move the platforms around, which will - with the right combo of switches - lead directly to Lauri.
Badge:  Bishop Badge
Personality: Normal Dragon-typers are, for lack of a better term, 'hard-assed', their cold personality due to taming the almost-impossible(to befriend) Dragon-type pokemon. Not Lauri; she's quite friendly and appoachable, and when she's not battling in Opelucid Gym, she enjoys playing chess(sometimes with her own pokemon). She also likes to practice the usage of her rapier, which she keeps on her at all times.

Other: Like other pokemon of his species, Cid is a happy-go-lucky pokemon, often glomping Lauri - and her other pokemon - whenever he can. Lauri's begun to train him in the art of fencing, which - while being a bit clumsy - he's taken to quite well.
Other: Lauri's theme - Ruby, Kaiser Cheifs Lauri is close to her twin sister, Naomi(the Driftveil City Gym Leader). As a result, the two often get together for a friendly 'sparring' session. Also, Lauri and Naomi have pokemon of the other's type specialty(which would explain Sasha and Tortuga). She's a dab hand at playing chess, which would explain the layout of her Gym.

Username: Azeria2011 Character Name: Sophie BarnettAge: Twenty-twoHometown: Castelia CityHistory: Living in the hustle and bustle of Castelia City, Sophie had always wanted to be famous in some way. To be known by all, no matter if the attention gained from it was good or bad. It was a dream she dreamed of constantly to the ire of her parents. They only wanting their daughter to get her head out of the clouds and lead a reasonable life. Quite possibly creating a family of her own one day, hopefully with the prospect of grandchildren along the way.
Alas, things didn't quite work as well for them as they'd hope. After a angry yelling match with her parents Sophie left the house, and soon enough the city she grew up in, to search for a way to make her dream come true. With Llewellyn as her only companion she set off into the world for the first time. It was hard at first, getting use to sleeping outside took forever!, but adapt she did. Soon enough she came upon rumors of a team of people, working to make dreams more or less the reality. To her it was a way to realize her own dream.
Thus, she joined the ranks, starting out by quickly and successfully pulling off the many low-leveled jobs assigned to her and a team of grunts, making it a goal to impress her superiors. If she wanted to be famous she couldn't stay a grunt forever! She'd have to work her way up to the top. As was her purpose, those above her soon noticed her efficiency in handling things, and as the years ticked by she slowly got promoted. Until finally, on the eve of her twenty-second birthday she joined the Admins of the team.
Eager to learn from those who were there longer than she, Sophie took to following and secretly spying on the other admins as they went about their own jobs. Jotting down notes in a small notepad she took with her everywhere, and refer to almost constantly. Though her stalking of the other Admins was only when her new duties permitted her to do so. She was careful not to alert the others to her habits, as they probably wouldn't take it too well...Personality: Sophie is an eager young woman with strange tendencies, and even stranger excuses when caught (some of which end up sounding childish; more so to others than herself). She is rather kind to her pokemon and her other co-workers, though tending to come off rather air-headed when around the latter. When battling she can be serious, but only if the situation calls for it. Otherwise she tends to fight half-heartedly, and never with the same strategy. Because of her dream she has very little concern over whether or not the plan to block out the sun succeeds, and actually likes to be up and about during all hours of the day. Having been inspired by his father for a long time to gain strength in order to help those who were in need, taking him around the city on short patrols in order to scare thieves away from the many goods coming and going from the city. On the many patrols his father took him on Matt gained a healthy respect for those who worked hard to make Unova safe and crime-free. With the goal of becoming one of those people, he set about learning and going through rigorous training regiments before finally setting off on a journey with his newly received Escavalier.
At the start of his journey Matt vowed to follow in his father's footsteps and become one of the finest police officers Unova could hope for. Setting off with the purpose to train harder than ever for his long-term goal. Many years after the start of his journey found Mathew tougher than before and ready for the challenge of becoming a police officer. Thus Matt took the exam to earn his very own badge. Hoping that he'd be able to fulfill the goal he had worked hard for. After completing the exam, he waited for days for the results. Getting what he desired a full week after completing the exam. He had been accepted into the ranks of the police, but only after he went through more training. All under the supervision of those instructed to teach the ways of the job, to both humans and pokemon alike.
As he and his pokemon went through this training, they soon learned everything they could possibly want about the role of a police officer. Going about the extra schooling with dedication and determination. A year after being admitted, Matt finally earn his badge and along with being assigned to one of the many cities to learn more by doing. Excited to finally be where he wanted to be, Matt packed his bags once more and headed off toward his assigned city to begin his duties.Personality: Dedicated and determined Matt would do anything to protect and help those in need of it. Even though a rookie cop, he tries his best to do everything in his power to stop criminals in their tracks, receiving loads of help from his pokemon, and place them where they belong. He has a certain respect for those who've been at the job longer than he, and is proud to have followed in his father's footsteps. Character Name: Alphonse 'Alph' Zorendo
Age: 22
History: You would think that a native of Sinnoh's Sunyshore City would, as the City's name suggests, have a sunny personality. ...Yeah, you'd be right in assuming that if you met Alphonse(who goes by 'Alph' in some circles). He may not look it - given his appearance -, but he's actually a rather friendly person. Anyway, being a native of Sunyshore, Alphonse naturally took a liking to the City's Gym typing of Electric-type pokemon. So - naturally - when his tenth birthday rolled around, he went for an Electric-type pokemon as his starter; this would be his male Luxray(Don). With Don in hand, Alph set out to conquer the Sinnoh Gyms.
Not very many of the Electric-types in his home region interested him, save for a male Electabuzz he caught(Volkner). Speaking of, the Sunyshore Gym Leader served as Alphonse's mentor for a good few years, even giving him the Electirizer needed to evolve his Electabuzz. He also served as the young man's inspiration to become an Electric-type specialist, telling him of his friend Caitlin in another region.
That region, of course, was Unova. Not long after conquering the Sinnoh Elite Four, Alph journeyed to the 'far-away' region of Unova, finding a good deal of interesting(to say the least)Electric-type pokemon. Not long after he had earned his second badge, he had come across a female Bliztle(Sakura) that had an injured eye; after nursing her back to health, Sakura became apowerful ally for Alph. While training to battle the fourth Gym - Nimbasa(which was an Electric Gym) - he had found a rare Emolga(Hatter) that had...an 'erratic' personality(to say the least). After defeating the Nimbasa Gym, Elesa - the Gym Leader there - had given him another Electric-type pokemon; the (even rarer than Hatter)rare pokemon, Tynamo(female, Isumi). After thanking her(profusely?), he stuck around NImbasa for a while, picking up a few more tricks about Electric-type pokemon from Elesa. When he felt that he had everything he needed to know, he ventured throughout the rest of Unova.
Chargestone Cave - which he explored between his fifth and sixth badges - granted him two more pokemon: a male Joltik(Cambria) and an 'easily' excited Klink(Giggles). Naturally, Skyla - the Mistralton City Gym Leader - didn't stand a chance against Alph and his team. His final three team mambers came into his possession as he was training for the Opelucid Gym. First came a male Stunfisk(Paddle), who - while seemingly 'not all there' in the head - proved himself time and time again. His next(and final) two came on the Route before Opelucid, Route 9: a female Cinccino(Arianna)(who insisted in keeping Alph's things tidy), and last but not least, his (shiny)Duosion(Bridge).
After besting the Opelucid Gym, Alphonse practically made a beeline for the Unova Elite Four, giving all of them a 'shock'. About four years after defeating them, he had returned - after perfecting his team, of course. That was when he challenged Caitlin for her spot, both of them knowing Volkner(Alph's mentor, not his Electivire). After a display of his battling skills, the Psychic-typer was genuinely impressed, and offered him her spot in the Elite Four, having wanted to retire back to the Sinnoh region.
Since then, Alphonse has been working on team strategies for his Electric-type pokemon, and changing the third Elite Four room to suit his tastes better. Challengers will be in for a 'shocking' surprise' when they challenge him~.

Alph(onse)'s E4 room: the walkway leading to Alph's platform is spiraled around a giant - and de-activated - Tesla coil; once a challenger is on the platform, said coil will re-activate, barring a return trip down. Throughout the entire platform, electrical pulses can be felt(these need to be avoided). A metal plate - which levitates on electrical bursts(provided by the coil) - takes the challenger up to Alph's platform.
The platform itself is set up like a classic pokemon arena, complete with raised pedestals for Alph and the challenger to stand on; the pokemon battle on the field below. A big electrical fence is set up, on a machine that changes the shape of said fence at random intervals. Both the pokemon and the Trainers need to be careful when the shape of the fence changes, as it alters the way that the battlefield functions.
Personality: Despite his appearance, Alph(onse) is a rather approachable person. Being a native of Sunyshore, he is fond of water sports, occasinonally venturing to Driftveil to enjoy the salty sea air. This may be from his type specialty, but Alph also has a fondness for electrical gadgets. And tasers; he has quite a few in his possession.

Character Name: Melody Rosaceae
Age: 19
History: Growing up in Nimbasa City, the entertainment hub of the Unova region, Melody was well-accustomed to the high-energy battles from the Big Stadium and Little Court. However, it was the Battle Subway that interested her more. With her first pokemon - a male Torchic(Cydonia) -, the young redheaded girl swore to herself that, one day, she would become a Subway Boss of her own.
Her eyes on her goal, Melody began her journey throughout Unova. Oddly enough, her first two pokemon captures came shortly after she beat the Nacrene City Gym: these two would be her Lilligant(Samsara) and her male Tympole(Ilrath). Two Gyms later - ironically, in her hometown of Nimbasa - she had come across a male Scraggy(Drake); this would've been about the time that she decided to go after pokemon that have access to 'Dance' moves. With that decision, her next pokemon was obvious- her female Ducklett(Kikko). While venturing into Route 18, Melody came across the final member of her 'Dance' team: her shiny Larvesta(Lighter).
With her six pokemon, Melody made quick work of the Unova Elite Four. Afterwards, she journeyed to the regions of Hoenn and Sinnoh, training her team for a year or two under the likes of Dahlia(Sinnoh's Arcade Star) and Tucker(Hoenn's Dome Ace). The two had taught her to be, of all things, a bit more theatrical in battles, ultimately furthering her desire to become a Subway Boss. During this time, she had caught her seventh pokemon: her energetic little Poliwag(Dub-Step). After traveling abroad for a while, Melody returned to her home region of Unova, where she caught her final three pokemon(currently). Lilo(Maractus) took a good while to find, but it was certainly worth the wait. Emerald(her Eelektross) took a good while longer, practically combing every inch of Chargestone Cave. Finally - fortunately, it was Winter at this time -, Melody had found a glomp-happy female Cubchoo(Dahlia, after one of Melody's mentors).
Her 'Dance' team meeting her standards, Melody practically made a beeline for Nimbasa's Battle Subway, where she challenged the Boss of the Singles Line, Ingo. After an excellent display of her skills, Ingo gave her the title of Subway Boss, on one condition: she also had to best him in a Multi battle, Ingo teaming up with fellow Boss Emmet(Boss of the Doubles lines), while Melody could chose her partner. After a bit of searching, Melody settled on Snowpoint City native, Lydia Benton, as her partner. The two girls found that they got along quite well, their pokemon's attacks synching up perfectly with each other. Knowing that they were beat, Ingo and Emmet bestowed the title of Subway Bosses upon Melody and Lydia, the two becoming the Boss(es) of their new respective lines.
That was quite a while ago; since becoming one of the new Subway Bosses, Melody has been perfecting her battling strategy, even incorporating a few new 'Dance' moves into her own unique battling style. She's also gotten to know Lydia better, since the two team up for Multi battles on occasion.

Personality: Like her home city of Nimbasa, Melody is a bright and cheerful person. When not perfecting her strategies for Battle Subway matches, she's been known to play games like Rock Band and Guitar Hero, along-side her Blaziken(Cydonia) and Seismitoad(Ilrath). Also, during her journey(while she was catching her pokemon), she took up a bit of dancing, which would(in retrospect) explain how she came to adopt a 'Dance' strategy to her battling style.

During her travels through Unova, Hoenn, and Sinnoh, Melody had taken up various forms of dancing, and is quite good.

Tarrant le Sorcier's Unova CharactersCharacter Name : Captain Andrew Samberg
Age : Thirty-seven (37)
History : Andrew Samberg grew up on the sea; from his birth on his parent's houseboat, until the day he retired to be the Pokemon League Champion, there wasn't a day in his life that wasn't spent at least partially on the water. In his earlier years, he was fascinated with myths his father would tell of powerful sea Pokemon of legend. The mighty Kyogre, the mysterious Manaphy, the majestic Lugia, and more. He was also told stories of their family's deep connection to the sea, and how even a portion of the Samberg family line was tied directly to members of the infamous Team Aqua. Perhaps it was the influence from the latter of these stories that influenced his deeds later in life - around his mid-late teen years, his father passed away. His mother lost the will to sail after that, and so left the boat to Andrew. After catching his first Pokemon - a Zorua, nesting on a small spit of land - he set out to emulate the lawless behavior of his predecessors, living purely for life, love and loot. He was able to assemble a formidable team of Pokemon to help him crew his ship, and they've stuck by him as his only crewmates to this day. He was always reluctant (at best) to share his gains with other people, as he felt it was the right of his family alone to live the life of a pirate. By the time he was twenty-six, he had made quite a name for himself, his greatest achievement being the claiming of the Royal Unova for himself. He allowed his First Mate T-Pain to captain that ship on his own for a time, but it proved to spread their forces entirely too thin, so they scuttled it and hid it away.
After that, it got considerably more dangerous for Andrew to stay in the waters around Unova, so he set sail for foreign lands. For the next decade, he traversed the distant shores, taking in all they had to offer - the best of life, love, and loot. If his claims are to be believed, he even has a child or two out there somewhere, which he felt obligated by his pirate heritage to never lay eyes upon. Meanwhile, during his long absence, he missed the events involving N and Team Plasma, which he insists is lucky for them, as he would have really trounced them, and showed them all what a true outlaw is meant to be like. However, at some point while he was away, his mother lost hope that he would ever return, and had him declared legally dead, which renounced him of his previous wrongdoings. When he returned, it was thought for a while that perhaps his old criminal record would be reinstated, but within a week of being back, Captain Andrew Samberg took his beloved and well-trained crew, and conquered the Pokemon League. He renounced his life of crime, stating that he was "too old for that kind of life". Due to the complexity of the issue, it was decided that as long as Captain Samberg remained champion of the Elite Four and comitted no further felonies, he would be granted clemency. So far, he was remained true to these conditions - however, only a fool can miss that ever present glint of delight and eagerness in his eyes when he speaks of his glory days.

Other : Captain Andrew Samberg's Champion Battle Chamber is composed of six sections, which challengers must navigate carefully while fighting each of his six crewmates. The first section is the main deck, followed by the second battle, which ascends into the rigging. From there, the third battle moves back, onto the quarter deck. The fourth battle moves below, into the gun deck, which leads into the fifth battle, down in the hold. The final battle takes place within the deepest part of the ship, down in the bilge. Captain Samberg likes to switch up which Pokemon he uses when, so that trainers can't prepare too thoroughly for the sequence of fights. Also, each section of the ship is rigged with various booby traps, which the Captain also likes to switch up every now and then. While nothing lethal, all of the them can prove disastrous to a challenger's team if numerous traps are set off. They include things like bursts of various status-inducing powders and effects, the releasing of darts, arrows or caltrops, smokescreens, and even explosions of various intensity and chemical composition.
Once a month, the good Captain takes his ship - the S.S. Invincible - out onto open sea, inviting all the Elite Four members as well as the Unova Gym Leaders.

History "Mission Briefing" : It had been a long flight from Kanto to Unova, and Mark was already upset that the one week in the year set aside to be his vacation time was interrupted by that horrid "Secret Agent Man" ringtone he so dreaded hearing. Another mission...he'd only just shut down those weapon smugglers two days ago, and now he was being shipped overseas to an isolated reigon for a mission he'd barely even been briefed on. Bloody Unovans...even the agencies in Hoenn had the decency to properly inform an agent of their mission at some point before they landed. All he'd been informed of was that he and his "foreign" Pokemon should keep a low profile; an easy enough task for Agent Notorious, who had spent the duration of the flight disguised as the hat Mark was wearing. To the two Kanto agent's relief, though, they were quickly picked up by their contact, and driven to the undisclosed location where he would (hopefully) be properly briefed.
Around fourty-five minutes later, agents Mark Thorne and Notorious were sitting at a small table in one of the most curious places the pair had ever seen...a Pokemon League Gym, which doubled as a cafe. Shaking his head, the human agent took a careful sip of the Caife Gaelach he'd ordered, in the hopes of alleviating some of the tension. He was pretty much past the irritation he'd felt during the flight. After all, it beat flying coach. But now he was growing edgey - his first time in this reigon, and his opinion of it was already diminished. His local contact was late, and that was a bad sign in this business. Just as Mark placed a cigarette into his mouth and lit it, though, a voice said, "Those things'll kill ya, don't you know that, Thorne?"
Mark turned, concerned for a moment, but then smiled at the face he saw. "Well, well...Kaleb Felix, you old fraud. So, this is where they transfered you after that little incident in Mossdeep? I wonder if the assistant director can sit down painlessly yet." The two laughed for a moment, but then got down to business. After all, there was no time for pleasantries, or catching up on old times.
As Kaleb explained it, the first tip off of something foul going on were the disappearances. People would just vanish from random places in town - at first, there was no real connection, except that a lot of them were children. Local authorities were treating it as some sort of serial kidnapper, but after a few months of no leads, something strange happened; people started to report having witnessed some of the missing people, in locations miles away from where they'd been last seen. Further investigation revealed that the individuals found were acting strange, sharing few if any of the personality traits they'd been said to have. Shortly after this, rumors began to spread around about shady groups of people meeting in the Dreamyard, conducting some sort of ceremony. Some of these rumors claim that a few of the missing people were among those seen at these meetings; however, when officials tried to intercept these meetings, they found no one, so nothing could be proven. In order to properly assess the validity of these events, and whether or not it was a matter of national security, a Unovan agent and his two expertly trained Pokemon were sent to investigate the Dreamyard and the areas around it. Early in the morning, shortly after the mission was launched, they lost contact with the agents. Less than an hour later, the two Pokemon returned, and reported that they'd been attacked. Their trainer had been subdued and captured.
So, the Unovan government sent out the red flag bulletin to Kanto, and in response, they sent their top agents; codenames Epsilon and Notorious. Their mission; to infiltrate the ranks of whoever this group is, put a stop to them, and if he's still alive, retrieve their captured agent.

Personality : In general, Mark is smooth and suave, with a constant awareness of his situation. He keeps a level head, and maintains his cool in even dire scenarios - such is the only way a secret agent can really be.

Other : Since non-Unova Pokemon attract attention, Mark Thorne has been placed in carge of the team the captured agent made use of, as well as a third Pokemon agent. The Leavanny and Accelgor are easy enough to deal with, but the Kanto trainer and the Cofagrigus butt heads often. Mark has a distinct lack of trust for Ghost-types; during a mission in his younger years, another agent he'd been close friends with had specialized in Ghost types, and wound up turning rogue during an intended rescue mission. The target they were meant to rescue survived, but was paralyzed from the waist down, and both their attackers and the rogue agent escaped, never to be seen again. Still, Thorne's doing his best not to let it stand in the way of the mission.

Occupation : Professor's laboratory assistant, specializes in field research.
History : Not much is known about Weiss Hertz before he arrived in Nuvema Town, looking for an apprenticeship with Ewan Hawthorn; since then, though, he has proven a very helpful assistant to the Pokemon Professor. He's dilligent, and a hard worker, though often it seems he goes out of his way to avoid standing out or seeming unique. When asked about it, he claims that he simply dislikes the idea of being another cliche - "Everyone in the world wants to be unique...", he says, "...while I just want to get my job done". However, everyone from his home town says that he's a bright, talented young man, as well as a skilled Pokemon trainer and combat strategist, though Weiss has never demonstrated anything except disapproval for Pokemon battles.

Character Name : Doctor Tarrant Nicolai Vengtras le Sorcier

History : Doctor Tarrant le Sorcier was once a noted psychiatrist with a promising practice and a healthy lifestyle, yet closer observation could be said to reveal that his downward spiral into madness began at an early age. His youth in Lacunosa was spent with his grandparents; his own mother was away on business and educational pursuits, and he had no father to speak of. His grandparents were fiercely old-fashioned, and held strictly to the curfew imposed on the city, even going so far as to force their own, far earlier curfew upon the boy. At his young age, Tarrant had no real problem with this, his only real wish being to make his family happy. But as he began to reach adolescence, he found himself thinking deeper and making more logical, rational decisions. He reasoned that after all these years, the townsfolk were not truly afraid of what lie in the dark - they were, instead, afraid of breaking out of what was perceived as normal, and being looked upon as different by the others in the town. And so, when he was twelve, he broke curfew and strode without a second's hesitation into the night. That night, in the darkness that saturated the area around the town, he met his first Pokemon - a displaced Purrloin, far from the normal habitats the Devious Pokemon usually dwelt. In his mind, this Pokemon was both a reward for his surpassing of the common man, and a guide into realms of further wisdom.
After that, Tarrant became obsessed with furthering his concepts of the human mind; how it limited itself through fear, and how one reached greater potential by meeting that fear head on. Without knowing it, he made the subconcious decision to never allow anything to frighten him again - anytime something came up that scared him, he would combat it without any hesitation. While this may have sounded healthy enough to most people, what the young man didn't expect was how it would affect the rest of his thinking. He became defensive and moody, prepared at any moment to prove himself capable of handling what came at him. Even as he matured, this slowly festered in his mind, degrading into the paranoid delusion that people were constantly trying to think of how they could prove Tarrant wrong. So he occupied his mind developing contingency plans for all manner of scenarios, while at the same time surpressing the fact that in many ways, he was simply becoming afraid of being wrong. When he reached the age of 15, he moved away from Lacunosa, beginning a training adventure which he looked upon as a sort of 'social experiment'. During the years he wandered abroad, he encountered Ewan Hawthorne; though they studied different schools of thought, they were both intellectual men, and became friends and colleagues. Eventually, Tarrant ceased his travelling, and began attending a university to become what he truly wished to be - a doctor of the mind. During his years of schooling, and his internship with another psychiatrist, he kept in close contact with Hawthorne, always happy to hear from the only other man in Unova he considered as wise as he. Then at age 23, nearing the end of his internship, the good Doctor met the woman who would prove to be his downfall...or, rather, the one who would watch him become his own downfall.
Her name was Christine, and she was the only other person Tarrant had met who seemed to understand and appreciate him for what he truly was, which was something the man had long since put out of his mind as a possibility. In many ways, he was a romantic at heart, and wanted nothing more than to take care of this girl. They married shortly after he obtained his doctrine and began his practice, and for the first several years, they lived happily together. But as time began to progress, the fire in Tarrant's heart began to freeze. His fickle, dark mind began to twist and contort Christine's actions and words, feeding into his paranoia and making her into a monster, even though she was nothing but a loving and faithful woman. He began to look down on her for lacking the level of intelligence he possessed, and lost respect for her romantic efforts. In time, he stopped looking at their marriage as love, and turned it into another experiment, to be studied and monitored for no purpose other than posterity - just to know the result. This showed in their relationship, and it began to tear Christine apart, as she felt his contempt for her increasing daily.
Meanwhile, Tarrant's practice was waning. He was beginning to apply questionable techniques to treating his patients, and his own issues with his marriage was causing him to lose his grip on his business life. Then, he was struck down two-fold; he returned home from work to find Christine gone. There was no note, none of her things had been packed or removed. She had simply left. He knew that this could only mean one logical thing - his experiment had reached its end. She had taken all she could, and left. Perhaps she had taken her own life, or perhaps she had fled the region to start fresh somewhere new. It killed a part of him, but in his mind, he knew it had been inevitable. He had pushed her to do this. But as his practice degraded further, he suffered more, as the full pain of the event hit him, proving he was still human. He took it out on his patients, leaving behind conventional psychiatry and instead trying to make all of his patients as deranged as he was becoming. He bolstered their own mental problems, driving them all further into madness until someone finally took notice. He was stripped of his license, and driven from the medical world. His career and romance dashed upon the rocks of his own creation, he became a total recluse. Until he met with the leader of Team Nostros.
Tarrant often told himself he was studying psychology to help others deal with the mental problems he seemed to overcome so easily. But in his desperation, he realized the truth - he hated mankind. Since his youth, he'd found the fear that they hid from deplorable, even sickening. He had driven his life off of the tracks; he'd crashed and burned, and had no one but himself to blame. With Team Nostros, he could finally be the only thing that made sense to him - a villain. A monster. "In the realm of dreams, there is always the shadow of a nightmare waiting in the corners of your mind...and that is where I am most comfortable." he says. He labors under no delusions of his madness. He knows what he is, and as much as his past kills him inside, he knows someone has to do what he does. Let the rest of mankind live in the light. Let the rest of Team Nostros dream of a perfect world. For the good Doctor, the shadowy chaos of his mental den is the only home he needs. And for the enemies of Nostros, it is the last place they shall ever see.

Personality : At the best of times, Tarrant's grip on reality is still tenuous, at best. While he's perfectly capable of functioning with others, he seems largely disconnected from the way most people think and act, his aspect on situations and ideas possessed of an incongruous - and often unsettling - point of view. He tends to become extremely quiet and distant when a new plan or interesting study grabs his interest, and can spend days, or even weeks, obsessing over it, trying to disect every aspect of it that can be found. At his worst, he's been known to rant and rave at matters that most would find a simple mild annoyance, or laughing chaotically at a thought or event that others see as depressing or pitiful. Much of his philosophy is based off of the idea that fear is the most primal force in life, and the only thing that really drives anyone forward. As such, he often works this process of thought into confrontations, causing his enemies to doubt themselves and submit to his way of thinking.

Lunette is usually called Luna for short. And when she's not at the Pokemon League minding her position, she's messing around with Tarot Cards by shattering them into pieces like glass.
No one knows how she does it and why, but Lunette breaks out only but a giggle when someone asks.
At times, she never really shows it or says it, but sometimes her fortune telling is inaccurate. And on some days- extremely inaccurate. But no one needs to know that... right?
History:
Lunette has always been a unique person- from the day she was born, to the day she accepted her position as one of the Elite Four. When she was 6 years old, a strange man had told her stories about fortune telling, which made her become fascinated with all the possibilities and outcomes that could happen in a person's life and onwards. Luna then received a pack of 'magical' Tarot Cards as a 'gift' from the stranger. Yet, the man told her no matter what she tried, trying to preform fortune telling on herself wouldn't work. So Lunette grew up telling others about their future, but longing to know what the future had in store for herself. She believes that these cards will some day work their magic for her, and be her navigation to the future.

History:
Sierra, despite being 14 year-old bundle of curiosity, is a very experienced battler. It all started when she entered the 4th grade, Angel became bored just learning about the history of Unova and wanted to experience the vast region for herself. Her first step was catching her first Pokemon, Pawniard who later became her trusted Bisharp, Slayer. Her second step was becoming the best Trainer in her grade which became a big part of her motivation to get out there and take care of herself. Her third step was dropping out of school to explore the Unova Region at the age of 12. The best part of it was, her training ground was in Nimbasa City. Not only would she challenge Trainers to go on the Ferris Wheel, but she'd pick up a few snacks as well. For the next year, she spent all of her time in Nimbasa City, and became well known around those parts as the 'Petite Battler Princess'.
Her talent and power were finally realized by the higher-ups and Sierra was then offered the position of a Gym Leader. Not being able to turn a down life-time offer like that, she took the job and somehow still had the time to hang around Nimbasa for her usual routines. She chose Steel-type from the very beginning of her carrier as a Trainer because the girl had been fascinated with their endurance and willpower. Sierra only carries 4 to 5 Pokemon with her, but being the third Gym Leader, she swaps out her Pokemon for weaker ones to suit the Challenger's current level. Otherwise, her best four Pokemon are always traveling with her.

 Username: Gromit of VulcanCharacter Name: Tybalt ZevonAge: 25 (Twenty-five)History: Born in the Johto metropolis of Goldenrod City, Tybalt was brought up amongst people and Pokemon of all shapes, sizes and colours, having a natural talent to become friends with people and, above all things, talk to them. One thing he didn't have any talent for, however, was Pokemon training - while everyone else was having kiddie battles with Sentret and Pidgey, Tybalt was still in the classroom trying to get the Pokemon the teacher had given him to obey his orders. He simply didn't have the ability to make them listen to him - and so his parents decided he should go to a school that didn't make Pokemon training part of the curriculum. They also gave him a Pikachu, not to battle with, but as a pet - naming it Huey, the pair got on like a house on fire, and Tybalt did well at school, showing particular talent for public speaking and music. When he graduated, his parents were so proud of him that they gave him another Pokemon - Isabella, his Zorua.
After graduating, Tybalt decided he wanted to go into radio - a natural occupation for someone who lived just a few blocks away from the Radio Tower. However, both Kanto and Johto radio were completely booked up, meaning Tybalt worked for a good few years as a studio runner, fetching coffee for people like Professor Oak during their radio shows. He learned much about radio during these years - what made a good interview, what kind of music was best for the morning - and made a good number of friends amongst the higher-ups, meaning that when a spot came up in Unova for a morning radio show, Tybalt got the tap. He wasn't particularly enthused about having to leave his parents and friends behind, but radio was his passion, his dream - and he took it. For the last five years, Tybalt Zevon's morning show, 8 to 12, has been one of the most listened to radio stations in Unova, with phone-in contests, eclectic music choices, an opt-in service airing cartoons (most Unova PokeDexes can link up with the show and stream video as well as audio) all contributing to the show's popularity. Apart from his radio show, of course, Tybalt has caught two new Pokemon in Unova - Arthur, his Herdier, and Julian, his Oshawott. It seems that Tybalt has the ability to get on with Pokemon exceedingly well, but not actually train them - his Pokemon all obey him not because they respect his skill on the battlefield, but because he's a friend who needs their help. Off-air, he's much the same, though he doesn't talk quite as fast, and he can be serious if the situation warrants it, though he's not much help in a battle, what with his absolute lack of talent at Pokemon training. Character Name: Ewan Hawthorn
Age: 54
History: Professor Ewan Hawthorn, the current acting regional professor of the Unova region, spent his early childhood in Lacunosa town with his four brothers. It was a simple life for him, the tradition of staying inside during the night dictating his daily schedule. Like all the others in the town, he knew about the legend, but instead of being afraid like most of the townspeople, including his brothers, he was interested in knowing more about the Pokémon that supposedly fell to earth in a meteor. He attempted to sneak out multiple times, but never made it past the gate into route 13 before getting caught and dragged back inside.
At the age of 13, Ewan officially started his journey. He made the pilgrimage to Nuvema town to start his journey, catching a Garbodor along the way. Unfortunately, when he arrived at Nuvema, he learned that he missed the opportunity to receive one of the Unovan starter-Pokémon, and instead set out with Clarence, his Garbodor, a handful of Poké Balls and high hopes.
Like those before him, Ewan made his rounds across the region. From Striaton to Opelucid, he collected the region’s badges and, soon enough, he found himself up against the Elite Four. It was a great struggle for him, but he eventually defeated the four masters as well as the then-current champion and decided to take the mantle of Unova’s League Champion. He enjoyed the position for a year, and then stepped down, finding his calling. Being a firm believer that one cannot own Pokémon, he gave all of them an opportunity to go on and be free if they so wished. He said goodbye to all of his Pokémon, save his Sigilyph, Kindi, who’s only other purpose was thousands of years out-of-date.
At the age of 25, during an internship with Nuvema Town’s Pokémon Lab, Ewan struck up a romantic relationship with Catherine Locke, a fellow intern and soon was married. The following year, they had their first child together: Ashlynn. It was at this point that they settled down in Nuvema Town, Ewan and Catherine both being hired as researchers, though Ewan was a field researcher and Catherine was a lab worker. They later had two more children together: Walter and the now-estranged Neil. Ewan was happy during the moments where he was at home with his family, though he felt like he was out on the road for far too often.
Sadly, this picturesque life was not to last forever. Fourteen years after their marriage, during one of Ewan’s studies, Catherine quite suddenly fell ill and passed away. Ewan only found out a few days later, when he returned to his home. He made the decision to end the long expeditions that he was known for, and started working almost exclusively in the lab, so that he may take care of his children as well.
The years passed, and science marched on. Communication technologies became widespread and the separate regions of the world became more connected. The Pokédex was invented and made widely available; the easily-accessible Pokémon information led to an influx of trainers, which also put a lot of strain on the scientific community. The box system was also introduced around the same time, no longer limiting trainers to a team of eight that they would carry with them everywhere, though this also changed the limit of how many Pokémon one could have on their person at one time. In short, it was a busy – but prosperous – time for everyone in the scientific community.
In Ewan’s life, this point of time was also very significant. His children had already grown into capable adults, and his eldest daughter had already been married. When Ewan was 48, he was introduced to her children, and his grandchildren, the twin boys: Crimson and Cobalt. He loved those kids, to the point of visiting them whenever he was available and coddling them. At some points he wished that they would live with him…Though he would have much preferred it happen on better terms.
It was an evening the professor (now age 50) would never forget. He was working late that night, just having had an idea on how to actualize his vision of merging the Pokédex and PC technologies. It was work that he could have done anywhere; he was at the lab because he was feeling upset that Ashlynn had called for a babysitter instead of simply asking him, and he believed that being at the lab would ease his mood. It was just past midnight when he got the call, telling him that his daughter and her husband had died. Ewan accepted the responsibility of being the children’s guardian, and gradually had them moved in.
He learned to cope with the loss of his daughter as he learned to cope with the loss of his wife, though his new responsibility aided greatly with it. He learned not to spoil the boys, nor to be overprotective of them, and how to make them get along with one-another. It was very difficult balancing them with work, however. In compromise, he soon began the habit of taking the twins to work with him, teaching them what he could about what was happening that particular day. He also found that, as they got somewhat older, they made excellent assistants. They even helped him complete the paperwork he needed to fill in to finalize his overtaking the position of Regional Professor when the two Junipers found a breakthrough in the origin of Pokémon in the Sinnoh region.
He can now (usually) be found in Nuvema town, researching the origins of a Pokémon’s natural abilities or handing out a Tepig, Oshawott or Snivy to eager new trainers that are ready to start their own adventures.
