At the 48th annual Grammy awards, Shawn Crahan, Paul Gray, Sid Wilson, and Joey Jordison, represented SlipKnoT at this year's Grammy's. Shawn Crahan literally shed tears behind the creepy clown mask as they were announced best metal performance for Vol. 3 Subliminal Verse's "Before I Forget". This is their sixth consecutive year of being nominated. "(Slipknot) went from a basement band in the Drake neighborhood to winning the greatest award you can get in music," said Denny Harvey, one of lead singer Corey Taylor's best friends who now manages another up-and-coming Des Moines metal band, Facecage. The band's Grammy moment wasn't televised with the prime-time 48th Annual Grammy Awards, but was part of the fast-paced pre-show ceremony during which the wide majority of the 108 Grammys were given out."It was like I was being sucked down a black hole," Crahan said of his walk past pop music's glitterati last week in Los Angeles.

Joey says that there were 8 songs meant to also be included in their last album, but just didn't make the cut.
"There will be another record," Jordison promised.

That means another shot at the Grammys!

According to an interview with famous producer Jack Endino, he has revealed that Joey Jordison, and hisself are in the studio right now working with 3 Inches of Blood's new demo.

Jack Endino: "Oh, wait. Do you know who I'm in the studio with right now this very second? 3 INCHES OF BLOOD."

Rock My Monkey: Total modern metal.

Jack Endino: "Total modern metal. Yeah. I mean, we're in the studio, and Joey from SLIPKNOT is producing, actually. Like, he's been working with the band, and they wanted to do a demo, and they wanted to do it real fast, and real cheap. The manager's a good friend of mine, and as like a favor, I said, 'hell, yeah, I want to meet this guy.' And I know this band, and sure, why the hell not? So we're having a great time."
