<=LANDON DRAKE --- ICIRRUS CITY GYM LEADER=> [[Entering from Nacrene/Route 3, with Melody and Cydonia]]After making their way out of Wellspring Cave and down Route 3, Landon, along with Melody and her Blaziken, stepped into the northwestern part of Striaton City. Landon took the time to view the central fountain, as well as the hedge sculptures and small pools of water that dotted the garden. Just being in this part of the city brought back memories of his hometown. It seemed as if nothing had changed since the last time he had been here. The Ground-typer sighed, then walked towards the main part of town, making his way towards the Pokemon Center. "C'mon..." he said to his temporary companion. "We should see if your friend is already here or not." He walked around a bit before entering the PokeCenter, taking in the sights of the apartment buildings that had remained all too familiar. He recognized his old family home, and intentionally avoided even going near it. Just seeing that accursed place pained him. Eventually, he stepped into the Pokemon Center to look for the other Subway Boss, as well as heal his current Pokemon.
'Coming here.... It never gets any easier....'

(( : Melody Rosaceae : )) -Subway Boss- -Singles line(s)- "Knowing Lydia?" Melody brought a hand up to shield her sky-blue eyes from the glare of the setting sun. "She's either here already and blendin' in, or possibly caught up somewhere nearby." She glanced in Landon's direction, then saw him heading into the Pokemon Center. Naturally, she followed him. "But I'm sure that if we stick around for a bit, she's bound to turn up eventually." After nodding in agreement, Cydonia marched along after his redheaded master.(( bah! short Melody post is short. White 'Lights...camera...' Meanwhile, at the Striaton City Gym...
"Ya know somethin'?" A young woman with chocolate-brown hair - most of it sticking out from the back(top?) of her hat - crossed her arms over her chest. "You'd think that those League officials would at least tell me what to expect when I got here." Said young woman was White, the mastermind behind the ever-popular B/W Production Agency. She had received a phone call some time ago by some Unova League officials, who asked her to step in as the Gym Leader for Striaton City(seeing as the Gym had no official Leader as of yet, and seeing as there were a few challengers headed this way). "But did they?" Quirking a thin brown eyebrow, she cast a stray glance around the - underwhelmingly... - empty Gym. "No~."
The woman was accompanied by a rather surprising individual. '...' I speak, of course, of her Emboar - a powerhouse in his own right, the Mega Fire Pig Pokemon was just as closely-associated with White as her production company.
"Anyway, come on." Waving for her Emboar to follow her, White set foot into the Striaton Gym. "I think I've got an idea as to how t'make this place more like home..." A soft chuckle escaped her throat as she ventured into the Gym, her Emboar trudging along behind her...
~~*time-skip is time-skip*~~
After exploring the Gym as best she could, White made a phone call to the Unova League's group of decorators, asking them to come to the Striaton Gym with all haste. Her years of playing video games were about to pay off with the idea she had in mind, and sure enough, the decorators didn't disappoint. The battlefield for Striaton Gym had turned out to be better than she expected. "Great job, guys!" Grinning slightly - as she easily juggled a pair of simple PokeBalls in her hands -, she nodded in approval. "I should contact you guys when I get started on my next production project; you do terrific work!" After exchanging a few more pleasantries, the League decorators began to head out of Striaton City, leaving White(and her Emboar) to explored the newly-redecorated Gym... - -

"Everything will be wonderful. Someday." Dorian Lombardi Trainer In The Making ☇═━┈┈━═☇ It was a slightly awestruck Dorian that walked out of the sheltered confines of Route 2; his dad had almost never taken him out of Mistralton, and even then it was usually to watch Emboar wrestling and kicking the bejeesus out of each other. To see something new, even if it was slighlty mundane, was a delight for the young redhead. He even found himself running a hand across the brown brick that made up the residences lining the road into the City, just relishing the unfamiliar feel - right up until he saw the Hedge Garden situated at the far west edge of the City. In a moment's notice, he, Dominco and Yogi were rushing towards the watery paradise, even as K. Rool shook his head and let out little bored cries. By the time the others would have caught up with the pre-teen, he would be dipping his toes into the water, enjoying the still oddly warm tinge to the water despite the advancing months, while Dominico kept jumping in and out of the water, leaping like a ottery-whale everywhere. On a little circular ice island in the center of the pond, Yogi sat making a little ice sculpture - it was a bit amateurish, given it was meant to be of Nikki but just looked like a lump of ice with spiky hair; but surely in these cases, it was the thought that counted. Dorian had led a slightly insular life up until this point, so any opportunity to cut loose a little bit and just enjoy himself case as a very welcome occasion indeed. "Yogi, throw that snowball and no ice cream for you for a week!"

If I could be with someone ღ Nicole "Nikki" Frazer ღ like you,Would you...? Would you be strong enough for me? It had taken quite a bit of time to traverse Route 2, but they had finally made it. Nikki was close behind Dorian, almost as awestruck as he was. This was, officially, the farthest away from home she had ever been.
She stopped in the middle of town, watching as Dorian and his friends ran off towards the gardens to the west. She stood there, silent, and watched for a moment before looking around a little. It seemed that the other girl was still quite a ways off.
The sky was dimming and soon, the trio would need to get to the Pokemon Center for the night. But if Dorian was able to explore, why not Nikki, right?
The gardens did look pretty, but something else caught the young trainers eye first.
Off to the east of the town was a route, covered in tall grass and Police Tape.
"Do not cross...." Nikki read silently to herself as she slowly approached the entrance-way, running her hand lightly along the smooth yellow ribbons.
In the distance, she could faintly see what appeared to be a pink mist clouding the path. But all Nikki could think of was the kinda of Pokemon she might find in grass as tall as this. Unlike Dorian's 3 Pokemon, Nikki only had 2.
The place did seem pretty foreboding, though.... what with the ominous mist and tape telling people not to come here.... but Nikki felt she would be safe as long as her Pokemon were with her... and as long as she didn't wander too far.
She signaled with a wave of her hand to Nikolai and Lillipup to follow her before carefully climbing over the tape. Unlike the other times she wanted the Snivy to follow her, this time he seemed almost eager to do so. The two Pokemon easily crawled under the tape and quickly caught up with the girl, who was wading through waist-high grass.
Almost instantly, the air became thick. Breathing became more of a chore than a natural thing and Nikki clasped her throat lightly, as if that would help. She looked down at her two friends, who seemed to be having difficulty as well.
Maybe this wasn't such a good idea.
She turned around to make a speedy retreat but froze in shock.
They hadn't take a single step. Not one.... but the town was not behind them.
Everywhere she looked, all she could see was trees, tall grass, and pink-ish purple mist.
Nikki began to cough, getting lower to the ground to check on her friends. She didn't need to tell them what happened, they could see for themselves.
"Dorian!!! Rosie!!!" Nikki cried out, but she knew it was probably useless. As the hopelessness began to settle in, tears began to well up in her eyes. They didn't run, though... she was trying her hardest to fight them back. She didn't want her friends to see her crying. She was supposed to be strong. Crying was a sign of weakness.... Nikolai would never respect her if he saw her crying at a time like this.
She bit her lip and shook the tears away, trying to calm her nerves as best as she could with the limited breathing. There was nothing she could think to do but to keep walking. She scooped up Nikolai and Lillipup and trekked on through the sea of trees and grass.
It felt as if day passed, walking and resting, walking and resting, and not a single Pokemon sighting. Their stomachs were running on empty and they were the only sound they had heard in 'days'. It felt as if they had just been wandering in a massive circle when suddenly, a structure came into view. A large, white, crumbled building. It seemed to be the epicenter of the mysterious fog. It was run-down, and looked as if it hadn't been used in years, but it was their only hope. With little to no energy left, Nikki pushed forward, keeping the building in her sights.
The place was definitely creepy. It appeared to be completely vacant, yet the sounds of creaking, footsteps and whispers echoed out of it's broken windows. Nikki approached the massive double doors, placing her hands on it to push when suddenly, she felt a rustling in her arms. Lillipup turned over and began to growl towards the grass.
It was the most the puppy had done in a while, so she knew it had to be important.
The growling soon stopped, and when it did, a blue monkey and a pink floating blob emerged together.
They didn't seem malicious in any way, they seemed to be as confused as she was.
"H-hi.." She mustered, giving them a short wave, still running on limited oxygen. "Do you.... know.... how we...." at that moment, the light became lighter. Nikki inhaled, filling her lungs with the oxygen it had been craving. She paused her thought, enjoying the ability to breathe once again. Even Nikolai and Lillipup seemed to perk up!
After a small conversation between the Pokemon, and a quick Pokedex scanning, Nikki discovered that she had fallen into a trap placed on the area by the local Munna and Musharna. The Munna (who will be known as Hana, from now on) also informed her that there were worse dangers in the area than just Pokemon. What they were, exactly, even Hana did not know.
The one known as Panpour (who preferred to be called 'Dory', short for Dorothy.) also mentioned that most trainers who come through here didn't look like Nikki. She had seen a few other humans come through here, but they were never effected by the mist like she had been.
All of this info was great and all.... but Nikki just wanted to get out of here and back to town!
The two agreed to escort them back, but only on one condition.
Recently, this area (referred to as the Dreamyard), became a home to many unwelcomed guests. The place had become a scary place for the local Pokemon to live, since once by one, their friends and family began disappearing.
As long as Nikki promised to take them with her, they would show her the way out.
Nikki couldn't have asked for a better condition. She gladly accepted and, in no time at all, they found themselves surrounded by towers of bricks once again.
It seemed like they had been gone for almost a week, but in actuality, they were only gone for about an hour. Hana said that that was a part of the gas trap they used to keep Humans away from their home.
Nikki made a mental note in her mind. If the tape says 'Do Not Cross', then don't cross it.
Lesson learned.
Pokedex Panpour, the Spray Pokemon. Panpour lived in forests long ago, but developed a body that makes it easy to live near water. It can store water in the tufts on its head. That water is full of nutrients and plants that recieve Panpours water will grow rather large. It does not thrive in dry environments. It keeps itself damp by shooting water stored in it's head tuft from its tail.
Pokedex Munna, the Dream Eater Pokemon. Munna can eat the dreams of people and Pokemon alike, then project those dreams by emitting Dream Mist from its body. People who have had their dreams eaten by Munna cannot remember what they dreamed about. Munna always float in the air.

<_: Rosie Castle :_> -Nimbasa City Gym Leader- -Normal-type Specialist- Rosie was the last of the group from Accumula Town to arrive in Striaton City, taking her time to admire the nature along Route 2. "*hums to self*" That being said, it was a relatively upbeat Normal-typer - accompanied, naturally, by Desde '*squawk!*' - that joined Dorian at the Hedge Garden towards the western end of the City, watching as Nikki (presumably)caught up to them.
It wasn't the (man-made?)ponds in the Garden that had caught Rosie's eye; no. Instead, it was the last traces of some official-looking people leaving the City via Route 2, along with a flash of bright-orange hair(Melody) coming in from the Route 3 entrance. "Looks like Striaton's not as empty as we thought, guys." She nodded towards the Subway Boss and her brunette companion(Landon - 'So this is what my fellow Leaders do in their time off...'), then towards the 'official-looking' Route 2 goers. "Who knew that the first Gym City on you guys' journey would be so popular?" As she let out a small chuckle, Desde...
...was perched on a nearby bench, preening her feathers. '*squa~awk~*' Yes, she was a weird bird.
