So in the past two days we've got:
Island Resort thing: the same game you've been playing on Facebook or your smart phone for a while now! Now you can play it on Gaia for no additional benefit.
Backyard Monsters thing Same as above, only this game is even more boring. zzz
Alchemy: The only thing that's actually developed by Gaia, making it infinitely more interesting than the other two. Unfortunately it seems that hardly any of the crafting materials are online yet. It's also a great money sink as you'll have to grind out lower tier recipes to get enough exp to get to the higher level recipes and the recipes have a h;ance to succeed, meaning you'll spend far more than the listed materials to get what you want. On the bright side: none of it is cash shop s**t, so there's something.

I kinda love how Gaia's response to "Please let us play Gaia games on Gaia" is to let us play other lame Facebook games nobody wants on Gaia instead.
I haven't tried them, yet. Too busy getting my Loki on. What is this Alchemy you speak of? I don't see it in the menu at all. (You had me all excited there for a second. That was the name of one of the games on MSN I used to love.)

Alchemy's listed under shops. I'm assuming it's because you have to buy some of the recipes. *shrug*
I've never been interested in the little games they've added - they've just never looked all that fun. And I'd probably be way more excited about the Alchemy thing if Maplestory hadn't just added the exact same thing a month ago.

So Alchemy is less of a game and more of a really lame crafting system. Meh. When your level goes up do you get access to more craft materials? Because I don't even see half of the ingredients in Bifrost.
I kinda like Resort World. Reminds me of the old Theme Park game. What materials do you need for you Obstacle Course, Aldo? I feel silly just sending you random things. I need seedlings for my hanging gardens.

I was really hoping alchemy was going to be cool, but nope. Oh well, I know I shouldn't expect much at this point.
It's funny that the more crap they add the less I care about it.

I'm in the progress of making an awesome island, actually. There's something so ridiculously cute about it that I just have to make something beautiful. Gonna grind out a few more levels, then trash everything and build something cute and just let it stand there as a statement of my awesomeness razz .

Yeah. I've only ever actually seen one friend's wish show up. I need seedlings. Then I can build some weird aircraft thing to take me to an abandoned island? Figures I'd find the island on the second day and not have the community project open.
I went to your island one day and every last godamned hotdog stand needed chores done. It was crazy! I should have taken a screenshot.

At the moment it's the best EXP per $ possible. Actually, I'm taking this game way too seriously. I just want to beat it! I invited lots of random people from the subforum asking for neighbours and I'm really planning around earning enough $ and spending it right away. My island looks hideous, but it's the fastest way to level without spending money. One of my neighbours is lev18 (I think she did spend money) and she's got awesome buildings. If I do chores at her haunted castle I earn 4500$. And she's got 6 of them. Yesterday I got lucky and got enough money to buy the next plot of land that way.

Admin just sent out:
"Hello!
While rummaging through your clothes you discovered 8 keys in your inventory under the Game tab. You can feel an aura of power and agelessness, and can barely see faint symbols that remind you of alchemy. Touching the keys gives you warm memories back to your first day on Gaia, and you intuitively understand that you have received one key for every year you've been on the site. A mystery!"

I got 7 keys because my gaia bday isn't until October!
But having 7 keys is still awesome. 3nodding
Haven't played the resort world thinger, but I don't care for moshi monster galaxy ... whatever it is. Such a hassle. I might do resort world only because I remember playing games like that waaaaay back when I was 12-13 and enjoyed it (for a little bit). This one is probably better than building a theme park, though.

I got 8 keys. Wonder when we'll be able to use them.
I have a soft spot for mahjong, I admit. Even though the one they did bring in is more of a speed game. Ah well.
I don't know why, but I have the patience to play Backyard monsters, but I can't stand Resort World. Preference, I suppose. I might give Resort World another chance, though.
