Is it sad that I'm listening to Disney music and it makes me feel more alive per se than any other music? XD
It also makes me want to watch The Lion King and Mulan really bad just so I can sing along.

At the current time I would have to say my favorite is Be Prepared from The Lion King. Followed closely by Reflections and I'll Make a Man Out of You. I couldn't pin a favorite movie though.
I'm kinda curious why they decided to redo The Lion King for 3D.

Black cherries on her lips }i{ Be Prepared is a great song. I'm a Lion King girl, all the way. The piles of Lion King plushies that watch my room are proof enough. xd 3nodding
I'm not really concerned with why they did it, though I could venture that, because of how many people loved it when it was in the Imax, they decided to do a real 3D, versus just the effect of it when they had it in Imax. My real question, though, is if they're going to do the original, or if they're going to do the updated version, where they include the song "Morning Report". I'm good with either, really. But I'm wondering which one it is. }i{ as he whispers her name to the dark

According to my mom The Lion King was the first movie I saw in theaters.
But I'm not sure. My sister works at a movie theater and all I got from her was that they were digitally restoring it, making it 3D, and that it was only going to be out for 2 weeks.

Dude, Be Prepared is like one of the best songs ever written.
That's one of the reasons the 3D Disney movies ain't as good: no awesome songs.

Be Prepared is one of the few songs that gets my energy moving almost as soon as I start singing it.
What movies has Disney made in 3D?

Disney owns Pixar. Or they did for a while anyway, not sure if they still do. Much of Disney's family movies of the last ten years have been of the computer animated variety rather than the 2D variety. 3D animation has its place but I love the charm of 2D animation, and it's something at which I think Disney excels. They've left off the "Disney Animated Features" canon in recent years, and only just got back into it with "The Frog Princess" or whatever, that I haven't actually seen but appreciated the existence of.
They stopped in the early 2000s when they had a couple of films that weren't so successful. But that was more because they were shitty films, not because (as they may have assumed) 2D no longer cut it.
Of course now the kids of the 90s have kids of their own and are nostalgic as all hell so there's that.
Speaking of the Lion King, did anyone see the trailer for that in the theatres? IIRC they just, pretty much, played the first song and ended with the title screen, you know, BOOM, it was ******** incredible. And I was like 7 at the time. Gave me chills.
The Lion King was also the beginning of my long love affair with Jeremy Irons's voice. *swoon*

Oh that's what you meant by 3D. Yeah Disney still owns Pixar as far as I'm aware.
I was a toddler when The Lion King came out so I don't remember if I did see the trailer or not. But I'm a Dan Green voice fangirl. Ok more like an Atem fangirl(still a major Yu-gi-hoe! >.<)
But back on topic. So it wasn't until the newest Pirates movie that I realized(or it actually sank in) that Disney did PotC.

I don't know. I have a friend who goes to Disney every year(or at least tries to they had to miss a few years) with her family and they still enjoy it.
She's actually trying to plan for us(our roleplaying club) to all go October 2012.

Actually Disney and Pixar are now in partnership. This is because Pixar got big enough to leave and Disney's attempts to do CG movies without them failed rather miserably. So they offered them a good deal to keep working with them.
As to the rest, I love Lion King. It has some amazing songs. But I have some issues with the shifty business involved in creating the original movie. They seem to have wanted to make an adaptation of the story of Kimba the White Lion but they didn't want to pay the people who owned it, so they changed a letter in the protagonist's name, gave him a dye job, and went with it. Still great songs though.
And my favorite Disney film growing up was The Little Mermaid. Poor Unfortunate Souls is an awesome song and I really like Ursula as a villain. I know they really messed with the ending and there are a couple of useless characters but I loved that movie.

Didn't know that abou Pixar. Now I do.
Didn't know that about The Lion King either. I remember during 4-H we were talking about The Lion King and how the first one was based off of Hamlet, the second one was Romeo and Juilet, and the third one was some Shakespear comedy that no one could think of the name.
My family would always joke around about The Little Mermaid. Especially after the second one came out because at the time all you had to do was change the daughter's eyes to brown and you had me. So it lead to the joke that whenever my mom thought I was acting like a little princess she would tell me that she wasn't my mom and that I had to go find Ariel or Prince Eric cuz they were my parents.
