Unova Pokemon League DESCRIPTION -The Unova League serves as the capital of the Unova region(this is arguable). It is the final destination for Pokemon Trainers that have gathered all of the Unova badges, trying to prove their worth against the region's Elite Four. This is where the powerful Elite Four Pokemon Trainers battle against hopefuls in a final showdown of becoming a master Pokemon trainer. Only if you defeat these Four will you have the chance to go against the Champion themselves. The Pokemon League in Unova, despite having the same principles and rules as every other region's League, is different in one main reason; challengers are not required to battle the Elite Four in any particular order, allowing trainers the chance to set up specific strategies before each battle. However, as in every other region, trainers are not permitted to visit the Pokemon Center between battles, and therefore must be fully prepared before stepping in the fringe to challenge the Elite Four. LOCATION -The Unova League is located in northern Unova, just after the region's Victory Road. PEOPLE - People here are friendly, but combative and ready to test their strength. After all, the Elite Four are here and awaiting challengers. Be ready for anything and everything in this place. RESOURCES/EVENTS/PLACES OF INTEREST - Elite Four - This is why you've come here, most likely. The Elite Four Pokemon Trainers in the entire league are here to face challengers. Many have tried and failed to defeat these men and women, will you succeed where they have failed? Champion Battle - Defeating the Elite Four is no small task, but assuming you do, you shall face the Champion. The Champion from Unova has proven their talent by defeating the Elite Four. Your Pokemon will be tired and worn down from previous fights. Do you and your Pokemon have what it takes to defeat the final foe? Hall of Fame - This room has changed since its inception. Rather than a lonely room at the end of the road, it is now a building with a massive database of all the trainers that have defeated, become, or otherwise been a part of the Elite Four or the Champion standings. If you win, your name shall be inscribed here for visitors and eager young trainers to see for generations. The Hall of Fame will record all Trainers' names, and Pokemon team. Pokemon Center - Those that fail the test of the Elite Four and Champion need to lick their wounds somewhere! The friendly faces at the Pokemon Center will attempt to patch up tired Pokemon and wounded egos. The first problem is easily solved, the second is all up to the will and determination of the trainer. PokeMart - As with all major facilities, the Unova League has a rather large and extensive PokeMart. The finest PokeBalls, healing items, and status-shaking items are sold here for trainers looking to take the challenge. Of course, they're all reasonably expensive as well. MYTH/LORE -While there aren't many myths, lore runs rampant. Stories of trainers new and old run through this area. This is a place where skill and talent of combatants become the stuff of legends. Elite Four Roster First Member: Sage and Soki Akiyama, Ghost-type Specialists Second Member: Lunette Pandora, Psychic-type Specialist Third Member: Alphonse Zorendo, Electric-type Specialist Fourth Member: Hoshikage Reika Miyazaki, Poison-type Specialist Champion: Captain Andrew Samberg, Various-type Specialist

~~* Alphonse Zorendo *~~ -Unova Elite Four, Third Position- -Electric-type Specialist- "I'm tellin' you, Samberg." Frowning slightly, Alph(onse) crossed his arms over his chest. "Far be it from me t'be nit-picky about details an' crap, but I'm pretty sure that this isn't an approved way to settle a score between League members!" He gestured a gloved hand to a nearby table - Volkner(Alph's Electivire) and Bonney(Samberg's Blastoise), instead of drinking, were...
...arm-wrestling? 'Lectivire~ :<' Curling his upper lip into a snarl, the Thunderbolt Pokemon gave the Blastoise seated across from him a piercing glare with his beady, bright-red eyes.
"Seriously." The Electric-typer gave Unova's Champion a bi-colored(one red eye, one black eye) sideways glance. "Pokemon battle. We--" He gestured back-and-forth between himself and Samberg. "--arm-wrestle. Or--" He paused, blinking a few times. "--whatever your swashbucklin' mind comes up with." Sure, Alph(onse) and Capt. Samberg had their disagreements. But in all honesty, the Electric-typer would follow the 'good' Captain to the Distortion World and back, if he was asked to.
That, if anything, was how good of a pair of friends they were.

Wearing a broad grin, the corsair's amber-colored eyes remained locked on the table where his beloved Turtle Pokemon had her clawed digits firmly clenched around the hand of her opponent. Despite being almost a foot shorter and about a hundred pounds lighter than the Pokemon across from her, the Blastoise seemed to be gaining the edge in this confrontation. Ever since becoming part of Captain Samberg's "crew" she had always made it a point to never back down from any challenge she met, particularly when it meant showing up a member of the opposite gender. A long standing tradition amongst sea-folk had been the fear and negative stigma surrounding females aboard with the rest of the crew - a tradition the Captain had broken by taking on the Blastoise as his cannoneer. So even though Samberg himself had never much submitted to this rumor (a fact he made clear by letting Angelica, his Mandibuzz, onto the crew), Bonney considered it her responsibility to defend her place amongst the feared ladies of the sea. "Blaaas..." she said dangerously, muscles in her arm flexing fiercely as she exerted further pressure against the Electivire's considerable muscle mass.
In the meantime, Captain Samberg turned and scoffed at Alph. "If you want Volkner to forfeit, you can just say so, Zorendo. There 'd be no shame in backing out, and one would think less of you for it." He chuckled, and ran his fingers along the length of his slim moustache. It was always fun to goad others into getting themselves deeper into what they were already stuck in. The only big difference with Alph was that he meant no ill will through doing so. He'd never admit it under normal (or, more accurately, sober) conditions, but he respected the Electric-type user a considerable amount, even more than the other members of the Elite Four. After all, when one stood at the top and looked down, it was hard to think less of those who were just a few steps away. To be honest, if Andrew Samberg still traversed the seas, and cared much for having humans on board, Alph was perhaps the only one he'd consider setting sail with. But that didn't mean Alph was made exempt of the Captain's taunts and jabs - in fact, if anything, it made him an even bigger target. Because at the end of the day, it was all in good fun. "Of course, it's not as if you have very much to lose. Now Volkner - what will the rest of your team have to say to him if he comes back after being beaten by a lady turtle at nearly half his weight? Could really do a number on his self-image, being emasculated like that." His hand moved from his moustache down his face, brushing along the layer of stubble that coated his cheeks and chin. In truth, he didn't even recall what their disagreement had been in regards to by this stage; that was no longer the point. The point, now, was to simply ensure that one of them arrived on top, and the other be defeated. Why? That was simply how the two conducted themselves.

~~* Alphonse Zorendo *~~ -Unova Elite Four, Third Position- -Electric-type Specialist- Quirking a thin black eyebrow - unlike the Captain, he didn't have facial hair of any kind -, Alph returned Samberg's scoff with one of his own. "Like Volkner would ever back down from a challenge, even if it's against your overgrown turtle." And like the two would ever (willingly)admit defeat in the Champion's presence, regardless of sobriety.
"Now." An amused glint formed in his crimson-and-raven eyes. "What would the rest'a your team say is Bonney was thrown across this ship'a yours by a malnourished Yeti?"

Captain Samberg laughed boisterously at this, and clapped Alph's back with vigor. The young man certainly never missed a beat, which was yet another admirable quality. Always quick with a comeback. "I doubt they'd find as much humor in it, since Bonney would likely tie them to her shell and keelhaul them if they so much as cracked a smile." As amusing as it was to say, the scary part was that it was most likely true. Even keeping Jormun - the Captain's Dragonair - in mind, Bonney was the most brutal member of the crew, and certainly the most heavily built. She would no sooner take any back sass from her teammates than she would a stranger, being lethally defensive of her strength and reputation. Hell, she'd likely hurl Samberg overboard if he sent too many snide remarks her way, no matter how innocent his intentions were. Her nostrils flared, and the arm that was locked in what seemed like an epic struggle against Volkner's flexed once again, increasing the already intense strength she was enforcing upon the Electivire. The Captain's brin widened, and he prodded Alph with his elbow. "Shouldn't be too long now, Alphie. Whaddya say? Loser's trainer buys the first round of drinks?" he suggested. And the more he thought about it, the more a round of drinks actually sounded like a most tantalizing proposal. He wished he hadn't finished off his rum only hours previous - all he had to drink was a unique blend of liquors he made himself, which was saved for special occasions.

~~* Alphonse Zorendo *~~ -Unova Elite Four, Third Position- -Electric-type Specialist- "Hmm~." Alph cupped his chin in thought for a moment or two with a gloved hand. In addition to being good friends with - quite possibly - the most eccentric Champion that any regional League has ever seen, Zorendo himself liked to give off a mis-leading appearance to other people, especially challengers. Honestly, now; how many Electric-type Specialists do you know that have black hair, dress up in (essentially)a glorified business suit, wear thick-soled motorcycle boots, and wear gloves? ...Not very many, I'd imagine.
After another moment or two of thought, the dual-eyed Elite shrugged; what harm could come from buying a round(or two)? ...Actually, don't answer that. "...Alright, you're on." The two men then bumped fists, as if they were sealing the deal.
Returning his gaze to the match, Alph's attention was brought back just in time to see Volkner's arm do a little flexing of its own. 'Lecti~' At the rate things were proceeding between Bonney and himself, Alph and Capt. Samberg would have to buy each other a round of drinks.
...Not that either of them would really object, but still.

The Captain nodded. That was incentive enough - now that they had agreed that after they were done here they would in fact be drinking, there was little point in remaining. In truth, he really had little reason to get involved in this little farce to begin with, and now that ending it meant a bit of booze-hounding, there was even less of a reason to draw it out. He turned to Bonney and cleared his throat. "Oh dear. Look at that. It appears as though Bonney is beginning to slip." he said, in a sarcastic and somewhat staccato manner. The Blastoise's eyes turned to look at her trainer in her peripheral vision, with a look that said, Don't make me do this, I can still win, just another minute, but Samberg had made his decision.
With an expression that seemed derivative of both anger and regret, the Blastoise relaxed her arm, allowing it to be slammed into the table by the force exerted by the Electivire. Not a moment after the confrontation was over, the Captain snapped his fingers. "Well, gosh darnit. And it was so close, too. Oh, well. Guess we better get going, so I can buy us that round." he said, in the same manner he had spoken the previous sentence. Bonney worked free of Volkner's grip and rose to her full height, glowering at her trainer. But the trainer simply patted her large shell with one hand. "Don't look so down, Bonney. Tell you what - next time we get a challenger, I'll let you kick things off. First in the crew's rotation, let you bash some skulls. Sound like fun?" Indeed, it sounded like worlds of fun, and although the Turtle Pokemon was trying to remain angry with her captain, she couldn't hide the twinkle in her eye at the thought of making up for this debacle by pounding some poor soul into oblivion next time they were met with a challenge. Meanwhile, Samberg looked back to Alph. "Well, Zorendo, you're the victor this day. That means you get to decide where we go to drink."

~~* Alphonse Zorendo *~~ -Unova Elite Four, Third Position- -Electric-type Specialist- Chuckling, Alph shook his head as Volkner lumbered over to stand next to him. "I'm still gonna get you back for that stunt you pulled when you welcomed me to the Elite Four, ya know." Something that involved two glasses, a rather large bottle of the green fairy Celebisinthe, and the under-side of a table coming into focus several hours later.
Or maybe it was the brig area of Samberg's Champion room...
Anyway. "There's a place in Nimbasa that's pretty good, if the rumors I heard were right." Shrugging, he glanced over to Samberg(and by proxy, Bonney). "You in for a bit of a road trip?" He ruffled the thick yellow fur on Volkner's head, releasing a small cloud of BrightPowder(the Electivire's 'held' item).

Captain Samberg turned and grinned at Bonney, who responded in kind. They both looked at Alphonse with a delightful glint in their eye. "Road trip, Zorendo? I think you mean..." With a burst of motion, the Captain lept up onto Bonney's back, striking a dramatic pose. "...a BOAT TRIP! Quickly, Alph, crew! TO THE INVINCIBLE!"
With that, Samberg and Bonney burst into a run, followed soon by the other Pokemon in the crew. To be honest, they had been feeling a bit crazed from a lack of action. Today was the first time in a while anything had happened, which is why Samberg took this chance to get them all out of their league chamber and into the fresh sea breeze. Besides, as the Captain had already noticed, he was fresh out of his own booze. There was really no reason not to embark upon a trip.

~~* Alphonse Zorendo *~~ -Unova Elite Four, Third Position- -Electric-type Specialist- Alph shook his head, grinning; things were never dull with Capt. Samberg around, that was for sure. "And who knows?" He began to follow the Champion and his Blastoise to The Invincible, Volkner trooping along behind him. "With any luck, you may just run into some other members of your 'illustrious' Elite Four crew while we're there." He couldn't help but use (gloved)air quotes on 'illustrious'. And not that the chances of doing so were very likely, but Alph liked to think of himself as an optimistic person.

The Captain smiled broadly, and laughed as they travelled through a passage leading to the exterior docks where he kept his ship tied up and ready to sail "One can only hope, Alph! After all, the more the merrier! So long as we're of the understanding that they pay for their own drinks!" There was a considerable skip in Andrew's step as he made his way through the passage, playing out a tune that couldn't quite be picked up on, until T-Pain (his talking Zoroark) and Bonney began to voice some more of the sounds of the song, revealing it to be AC-DrowZ's 'Highway to Hell'. Despite the lack of instruments - forcing the song to be played acapella - the Captain began to sing the lyrics of the song as they made their way to the outside. "Livin' easy, livin' free...season ticket on a one-way ride! Askin' nothin', leave me be! Takin' everything in my stride! Don't need reason - don't need rhyme. Ain't nothin' I would rather do! Going down, party time! My friends are gonna be there too..."
As he shoved a door open at the end of the passage, sunlight burst into the chamber, and the Pokemon in Samberg's crew rushed down a set of stone steps to the majestic ship docked below. As Angelica flew overhead, she grasped onto her Captain's shoulders, carrying him across to the ship as he shouted, "I'M ON THE HIIIIIIGHWAY TO HELL!" He was released from the Mandibuzz's grip and landed before the helm, his smile still broad and beaming. He looked from his spot on the ship to Alph, motioning for him to make haste.

Andrew smirked as he ended the call he'd received. "Icirrus, eh? Most engaging...a bit out of our way, but it seems to be where the action is." In an extravagant movement, he spun about, lept up into the rigging, and landed on the deck as Alph arrived on the ship. "Change of plans, Zorendo! Seems there's a party getting fired up in Icirrus, so we'll be going there. If you have any objections, I don't think I have to tel you how little they'll impact my decision. Now, everyone! On deck, you scabrous dogs! Heave to, and get us ready to make way! The wind's at our back, and I can smell that sweet amber poison already!"
The crew cheered heartily, preparing the ship in moments. Without any delay, the S.S. Invincible was on its way. It would take some time to make it to Icirrus, but no so much that they'd miss too much action. And if any huge complications arose, Angelica could always fly the Captain the rest of the way. As for Alph...well, he could swim.
