Nimbasa City   DESCRIPTION -Welcome to Nimbasa City. Easily the most populous City in Unova, Nimbasa is practically an entertainment hub, from the Musical Hall and the sports arenas, to the Nimbasa City Gym - the fourth in Unova - and the Battle Subway. There's even a Ferris wheel, if you fancy a 'sky-high' view. Nimbasa is also the place that serves as an access point for the beautiful Marvelous Bridge. One thing's for certain - things are never boring here in Nimbasa. LOCATION -Nimbasa City is located in central Unova, with three ways to access the City - Route 16 to the east, Route 4 to the south, and Route 5 to the west. PEOPLE -Since this is the single largest City in Unova - even surpassing southern neighbor Castelia, in terms of populace -, it isn't all that surprising that the people here in Nimbasa are always busy, be it from battling, Musicals, business, or simply hanging out. RESOURCES/EVENTS/PLACES OF INTEREST -Marvelous Bridge - If you're looking to travel into eastern Unova, then the Marvelous Bridge is the only way to do so. This spectacular piece of architecture offers a stunning view of the ocean waters below. There's also an interesting rumor: on occasion, the spirit of a young girl is said to appear at the end of this Bridge... Musical Theater - Taking bits and pieces from the Pokemon Contests in other regions, Nimbasa's Musical Theater provides Trainers with the chance to play dress-up with their favorite pokemon. Try to score big to impress the audience! Gear Station - The Gear Station is the home of Unova's Battle Subway(where you'll encounter the Subway Bosses, both of which are feisty customers). In total, there are eight different Subway lines, including one to a tucked-away place known as Anville Town. Feel free to enjoy a ride. Big Stadium and Small Court - These two arenas serve as one of Nimbasa's key attractions. The Stadium hosts games of football, baseball, and soccer; the Court hosts games of tennis and basketball. If your timing is good, you can go onto the field to challenge the athletes to battle. Battle Institute - The Trainers that you can find on any of the Battle Subway lines can often be found here, wanting to improve their skills. If you want to try your luck as well, feel free to - the 'Battle Test' consists of a series of five battles, with Bag items and visits to the Pokemon Center/Mart prohibited. Good luck~. Rondez-View Ferris Wheel - In addition to offering a spectacular view of the City below, this Ferris wheel is unique in one aspect: should you wish to ride with someone, you must battle whoever you're going to ride with. Trainers can't have all the fun, you know. Nimbasa City Gym - Nimbasa City is home to the fourth-known Gym in the Unova region. The Gym here is headed by Rosie Castle, and she specializes in Normal-type pokemon. Rosie awards the Inverse Badge(and TM68, Giga Impact) to those that best her in battle. MYTH/LORE -Nimbasa City is widely regarded as Unova's center for leisure and entertainment. With all of the things that go on here, it's easy to see why.

Unova's very own entertainment hub, and where many people, good and bad alike, were drawn to the attractions like a moth to a flame. Which is why he was standing in the middle of said city, as crime was bound to happen in places where people flocked to. It was common sense that there would be more police officers here than in any small town. Though having been patrolling the area since the wee hours of the morning, Matt could honestly say that he was dead tired and utterly bored.
Walking into the nearest coffee shop, he quickly ordered a cup. Anything that would keep him awake until someone showed to relieve him. Which would be relatively soon if he read the time for his shift correctly. Paying the clerk, Matt re-entered the busy streets. Drinking the caffeine as he began his patrol once again. Silently grateful that the day was uneventful so far.
Thinking it would be better to have someone much more well-rested with him as he continued with his job, Matt brought out one of his pokeballs. Releasing the pokemon that resided in the small red-white ball, red light diminishing to reveal Mordecai. The Escavalier turning to it's trainer, awaiting instructions.
"Well Mordecai, feel like patrolling with me today?" Matt asked the duel-type pokemon, which answered by turning around and continuing down the sidewalk. Matt close behind.

 Sage Akiyama and Soki Akiyamaxxxxx~Unova Elite Four Twins~xx~First Position~ "Sage?" "Yes, Soki?" "What are we doing here..?" "...I have no idea." These two young "trainers" had arrived in Nimbasa minutes ago, following the sister's(Sage) Banette that had flown(or floated) off. They had hopped on the back of XT(Sage's Golurk) and flew after her immediately, only to end up here. As soon as they caught up to her, Sage recalled XT and grabbed Harlequin(the Banette) right out of the air, holding her out like a baby. "Harlequin, why on earth did you make us come all the way to Nimbasa? The Banette simply grinned and escaped from her hands. This time, though, she didn't fly off--instead, she floated next to her owner. "This place is full of people...and noise. And lights." Soki said, as they walked around the city. "I bet we could get some of these people pretty good, huh?" the older twin asked, the excitement on his face very clearly visible. Sage laughed a little and shook her head. "Soki...the people here are probably used to more things than we could think of. They live in a city with sports stadiums and an amusement park. I mean, the Gym here is IN the amusement park, isn't it?""Well, yeah, but... I guess you're right. How come you know so much stuff? I'm older!" Sage laughed, louder this time. "We're in the Elite Four. We're supposed to know at least about the Gyms." She ruffled her brother's hair. "Come on. What say we get something to eat?" Harlequin, who had been quiet for a while, was definitely hungry after the trip. She excitedly flew in circles around Sage while one of Soki's Pokémon heard the word "eat" as well, and let himself out of his Pokéball. "Saa~ab!" This was Soki's Sableye, Klayton. He and Harlequin danced around, glad it was lunch time. "Well, doesn't look like we have a choice! Let's try...this place here? Or..maybe..." "Let's look around for a bit and see if we can't find someplace that looks good, huh?"

 ۼږFrom Castelia City, she strolled in with a huge grin on her face. Today, Sierra was skipping her Gym Leader duties to continue hanging around Nimbasa. After all, you couldn't keep this 14 year-old girl tied down to position without moving. In fact, trying to make her stand in one spot for 5 minutes straight would be impossible. The young red-head was looking forward to another day of people buying her food after totally destroying them in battle. To attract some attention towards herself, Sierra dashed past tons of people and leaped into the flower beads(while doing her best not to crush the poor flowers) yelling; "Oooooiii~! Anyone~? Battle me and I'll treat you to some food if you win~!" (But of course, since I'll win- you guys'll be the ones treating me! So bring it on!) She flailed her arms around. The people around the area on giggled and walked by. Trainers know that Sierra had been going on a winning streak lately, and wouldn't want to put their money at risk, but once in a blue moon, the brave ones would step up to the plate. And later on they'd pay the bill too. 5 minutes had passed and barely anyone had made eye contact with her. Frustrated, she stomped her foot. Usually, she'd have no problem climbing onto the Pikachu float and yell, but since there was a Police Officer here... And she had been reminded once- .... Twice... Three.... Many- many times to stay out of trouble. 'But what the heck', Sierra thought to herself. The girl skipped over to the Electric Mouse's float and climbed until she reached the very top. "Uppsie~ That's loooots better. Now...." Sitting straight up she yelled even louder. "Battle. Me. Now~! I'm really hungry- I-I mean... I'm... Shivering with anticipation! OI? HEEELLLOOOO~!" It didn't matter who. It had to be someone. A Preschooler, a Biker... A Maniac. Nonetheless, since this was Sierra Angel, a plan B was always another option.ۺ 'Petite Battler Princess'       "So make it more realistic and get me some cake!"-Sierra on a Sugar Rush

 "Nimbasa sure is a busy place, huh Janine?" a black-haired woman said as she strolled along the crowded streets of Nimbasa City. Perched atop her head was her Crobat, lazily looking about as they passed the people along, many of which gave the pair odd glances. Not really so much from seeing a Crobat, which typically hailed from a faraway region, but more-so the fact that its trainer was dressed up as a ninja of all things. Granted, Nimbasa was a place for clowns and carnival-goers, but ninjas typically didn't try to stand out so much. Regardless, she walked around, Creamsicle in one hand and Sweet Bread in the other, occasionally holding the latter up to her head, letting her winged companion joyously nibble on the snack.
After walking a good bit, the ninja-attired woman came across a rather large crowd, seeming to pile up near a huge inflatable Pikachu. "Huh, I didn't know that people here even knew what a Pikachu is..." However, her gaze soon fell upon a peculiar sight... a young girl, sitting on top of the giant Pikachu, causing quite a commotion. At first, the woman was worried, but the girl seemed to know what she was doing. "So, she's looking for a challenge, huh?" she said, her voice showing a tone of interest. "What do you say, Janine?" The Crobat on her head looked up and squeaked in reply, flapping its wings and rising up from her perch on her trainer's head. The woman tossed the Sweet Bread up in the air, letting her Pokemon catch and happily munch on it, then finished off her Creamsicle and expertly tossed the bare stick into a nearby trash receptacle. She then cupped her hands around her mouth and shouted up at the girl.
"OI~! I'LL CHALLENGE YOU~! JUST COME DOWN FROM THERE~!"
Despite being a ninja, the young Hoshikage was never one for subtlety...

-Normal-type Specialist- 'Seriously...?' A light frown was evident on the face of Nimbasa's Gym Leader, Rosie, as she exited her Gym. She could hear the commotion from outside, even over the din of noise from the minecart(s) that seemed to constantly run in her Gym.
Marching along at Rosie's side, looking like he had every right to be there(which, for the record, he did), was the Normal-typer's faithful Stoutland, Pike. 'Stou~ :<' The look on the Big-Hearted Pokemon's face was similar to the one his master had on hers.
...Figures. 'Why'm I not surprised it'd be her(Sierra)...' Rolling her brilliant, honey-colored eyes, Rosie was about to give the Steel-typer atop the Pikachu float a piece of her mind, when a burst of static came in over her headset. Letting out a sigh, she brought the mouthpiece closer to her mouth. "Look," she began in an even tone. "How many times have I told you guys, the gaps in the minecart track were put there on purpose!" Unaware that she said the last part out loud, Rosie was surprised to find a few people staring at her, wide-eyed, as she brought her attention back to the group surrounding the Pikachu float.
Pike had fallen into a sitting position on the ground next to Rosie. 'Stou~' Yep, he was still (lightly)growling.
"..." Blinking bemusedly, Rosie began to rub the back of her head in a sheepish manner. "Eh-heh-heh..." As one of the newer faces to Unova's group of Gym Leaders, Rosie wasn't entirely used to her new position yet.

"A..... Gym Leader?" Reika stated, an obvious tone of baffled surprise rising in her voice. This girl, a Gym Leader? And at 14 no less... The ninja woman placed a finger on her chin, recalling the memory of being told that there was a young Gym Leader amongst the ranks of the Unova League, but she didn't think she would meet her so soon. She was also dressed up in a princess getup, but Reika wasn't one to judge others on how they looked. If anything, it was a miracle that the girl wasn't hurt when she jumped down from the float. "Well, 'Princess' Sierra..." the black-haired individual said, placing her hands on her hips. "I'm alright with a two-on-two battle, sure~." With that said, she turned on her heel and walked a few feet away from Sierra, her Crobat following close behind her. The crowd of people started to move back, forming a circle around the two female trainers. Janine squeaked, just as Reika turned back to face the Gym Leader. "No, Janine... you'll be sitting this one out." The Crobat squeaked again, this time in a disappointed tone, then settled down on her perch atop her trainer's head. "Sorry, but I've got others that need the experience." Reika then plucked a single Pokeball hanging from her sash, expanding it in her hand. She tossed the capsule out in front of her, which exploded in a brilliant flash of light as it revealed the Pokemon it contained: "THO~OORN!""I'll start with Midori-Oh!" the ninja said, taking her stance as the Ferrothorn took its place on the field. "Whenever you're ready, 'Your Majesty'~!" Reika gave the young girl a wink. She didn't want the Gym Leader to know that she was up against a member of Unova's Elite Four... she figured keeping that a secret would keep the young girl's confidence up, and she was looking forward to seeing her full potential.

ۼږThe younger girl giggled a little when she was called Princess. Normally her challengers would just address her as Sierra, mainly because of how awkward they might have felt right after calling her that. On another note, in the Ninja-woman's tone, 'Princess' seemed to be a little mocking/sarcastic/playful. But it's not like Sierra minded one bit, because she grew quite fond of the title. "Hehehehehe. Okay!" The red head imitated a curtsy and laughed oh-so innocently. It was then the Ninja-woman than sent out a tough-looking Ferrothorn, that Sierra pouted. She was up against a steel-type, and to make matters a bit worse- grass-type as well. The sight of it just kind of stole her thunder, so she paced back and forth- only because it helped her think better. Finally coming to a solid decision, she swapped her Luxury Ball and pulled out another one. "Try to keep up with me, okay? I bring you... " Sierra tossed it into the air. "Guardian!" A Lucario appeared kneeling on the ground next to the girl, almost as if it was bowing to her. "Guardian here is a Lucario, from the Sinnoh Region. And yes- the Sinnoh is far away from here- but I got him from my younger Cousin, Annie. Nice of her, huh~? She always carrying some royal-lookin' Pokemon... Oh! Like me!" Sierra went on laughing and talking some more, occasionally slapping her knee. Only until she calmed down, she noted that the battle was about to begin. A tad embarrassed at her attitude, she coughed placing her fist over her mouth. "Er- you can start first! Mmmkay?"ۺ 'Petite Battler Princess' "Because I tend to look pretty even when I'm collecting Prize Money."- Sierra with an Empty Wallet

Reika couldn't help but chuckle at the girl's enthusiasm. "Heh, you don't have to tell me about faraway regions, kiddo..." she said, bringing her hand to her chin. "I've been to the Sinnoh region, and I've seen quite a bit of the Pokemon there. That's actually where I got one of my precious Pokemon~." The Crobat perched the woman's head (which now looked like a big bat-shaped bow in her hair to passersby) squeaked loudly, as if looking for attention. Reika looked up and smiled. "Oh, and this beauty came all the way from Johto! Isn't she just the sweetest?" Janine simply responded with a disaffected roll of her eyes, as if saying 'I know I'm beautiful, no need to remind me...' Reika giggled, then set her sights back on to the Pokemon on the field.
"Alright then, if you insist, I'll start the battle!" Reika said, giving Sierra another playful wink. She then took a moment to think about the current situation, placing a finger on her chin. 'Hm, Lucario is a Steel- and Fighting-type, which puts Midori-Oh at a disadvantage... None of Midori-Oh's attacks would be very effective against him either, not to mention the speed difference between--'
Just then, Reika snapped her fingers, knowing just how to start things off. "Alright Midori-Oh! Let's get this party started~! Use Curse!" the ninja shouted, striking an over-dramatic pose (as any well-trained ninja would). "THOORN!" replied the Ferrothorn, its body beginning to emanate a crimson glow, that seemed to lift into the air like smoke. To an inexperienced trainer, like some of those in the crowd, it was a fearsome sight to behold. Soon, the red glow disappeared completely, the Thorn Pod Pokemon returning to its normal color, and sounding off with another monotonous "THOORN!", signaling the end of its turn.
Reika smiled, seeing that boosting Midori-Oh's attack and defense, as well as lowering his speed, would prove quite useful in this battle, as the greater difference in the two Pokemon's speed would only increase the power of one of his other attacks. "Alright, you're up~!" she called out to Sierra. The Hoshikage was anxious to see exactly what the young Gym Leader could do, expecting the girl to put up a good fight.

-Normal-type Specialist- Getting over her bout of embarrassment relatively quickly, Rosie turned her attention to the battle that was unfolding...just outside her Gym. "...Ya~ know." She held up a pointer finger for emphasis. "If you two ladies--" She was referring to Sierra and the ninja-woman, whom she recognized as a member of Unova's Elite Four. "--really wanna battle, you could always use my Gym's battlefield." Not that she really minded where, per se, a battle unfolded in 'her' City - as the Gym Leader of Nimbasa's Gym, Rosie quickly became used to battles happening practically everywhere she looked - it's just that battling in a Gym made a bit more sense to her.
Alas; by the time she finished her statement, it appeared that the battle had already begun between the two. "..." '...' Rosie and Pike exchanged brief glances for a moment, before working their way to the front of the crowd, to watch the battle.
Might as well, right?

"Hmm... boosting his Special Attack, eh?" the ninja woman said, tapping her chin with her finger. Despite never actually fighting against a Lucario before, she knew they were just as well off with special attacks as they were physical ones, if not more-so. As such this one could do increased damage to Midori-Oh, whilst ignoring his increase in Defense and simultaneously avoiding his Iron Barbs. This could end up being a problem... however, it wasn't as if it mattered to Reika if she lost or not. If anything, a win against an Elite would be something that any Gym Leader would be proud of. Of course, this girl most likely didn't know she was up against an Elite, and Reika didn't intend on telling her until the end.
The Hoshikage thought for a moment more, considering all her options. Eventually, she came to a decision. "Alright, Midori-Oh! Let's see another Curse!" she said, pointing dramatically. The Ferrothorn complied, repeating his last action, raising his Attack and Defense, while lowering his Speed at the same time. At this point, Reika didn't see much of a choice on the matter. If they were lucky, he would be able to score a good hit before taking serious damage himself, despite only having moves that did less-than-desirable damage. "Well, it's your move again." she said, calling back out to the young Gym Leader.

Oh the world of pokemon was fantastic... if you had pokemon to accompany you. If not, well. Getting around was more than a hassle. Ginshu had figured this out rather quickly and was thanking Arceus profusely at the moment for the black flute that was keeping the wild pokemon at bay. Having come from Kanto, the pokemon and atmosphere in Unova was... startlingly different. Living in the quiet little Lavender Town and being confined to the tower... Ginshu was not accustomed to all the strange looks he got. The scales on her face and hands, the long flowing hair, her foreign traditional clothing... Ginshu stood out like a sore thumb. Even on the roads, there was always something.... staring. It was... unnerving to say the least.
Either way from the plane ride over, making her way from Mistralton City's air field all the way to Nimbasa and not having been mauled... it seemed fairly miraculous. All by Arceus' will Ginshu supposed. Black flute clutched lightly between her scaled fingers, Ginshu made her way into the city. It was larger than anything she had seen in Kanto this... Nimbasa City. Building towered above him, people brushed past as if she was nothing, the rushed city atmosphere was also... unnerving. Then there were again with the eyes. It was times like these that Ginshu wished the Head Maiden had granted him a pokemon.... but this was supposed to be a journey undertaken by his own will so alas. There was no help to be had other than the plane ticket.
The crowds managed to shove Ginshu off towards a large gathering, and her rather short stature made it nearly impossible to see what was happening. "Excuse me, pardon.... I'm sorry if I could just-!" she asked lightly, her high and breathy voice making it impossible for anyone to even hear her. Ginshu frowned lightly and pushed lightly past a female brown hair, pushed up into a ponytail. The woman looked rather important, but Ginshu wouldn't have known what she was or rather who she was on sight. However the ongoing battle made him drawn back at bit. A battle? She had... actually never really seen one up close. She wasn't really sure she wanted to either. He disliked being pushed around though, and was actually still quite tired from the trip over and the long trek to Nimbasa in the first place. Thinking some rest and coffee perhaps would be the best solution to this, Ginshu pushed his way back through the crowd and stumbled out into the streets.
This city was so large! Ginshu wasn't sure how anyone could navigate it on a daily basis. For a moment, his eyes were so wrapped up in the towering building and scenery of it all, Ginshu didn't note the man that he was walking directly into. The sudden mass made Ginshu stumbled backwards before looking up with a flushed expression at what she could only assume was a police officer. "Oh I'm terribly sorry officer... Could you... tell me where the pokemon center is?" Ginshu smiled lightly, standing up straight and brushing her robes off. The dusty trip was certainly taking it's toll on his white clothing.
All alone in an unknown place
