The Winter Olympics are here! Talk about your favorite sports, favorite athletes, how many medals your country has won (mine has won 5 so far).

Haha, I like watching the luge. People sliding down mountains at breakneck speed, not being able to see where they're going...sounds fun. ^^

I know. I was being serious. I was going to try it this winter, but then we ended up staying home instead of going to the mountains, so I couldn't.

I live in Colorado, but I avoid the mountains in the winter. Weird, huh? I just hate driving in snow and dealing with tourists who aren't used to it.

Anyway, I was watching the men's moguls last night. I wonder what the average age is for knee surgery among those guys. I don't think it's good on their backs, either. But it sure does look cool.

One of them has had knee surgery three times in the past two years, apparently. Don't remember who, though...

Wow. And they're all still so young.

I feel bad about missing the closing ceremnonies, which I really wanted to watch. But I was at work and I think my brother was making me watch Judge Dredd at the time. gonk
And then like the next day on the news I saw Joey Cheek carrying the flag and I was like...gah! whee
Because, ya' know, I have a schoolgirl crush on him and such.
Anyway, I did manage to watch some midnight coverage of like figure skating which was pretty neat.
I miss you, Olympics. u_u

That's about all I got to see too. The Figure skating, I mean. Not too into the whole Olympic spirit thing though really. (Although when it was here I got caught up in it all, but then again who didn't)

I love the Olympics, although I can't really explain why. I'm definitely not athletic. I guess I like friendly competition and seeing people who are good at what they do, whether they're from my country or not. I didn't get to watch as much as I would have liked to because my husband's not into it. xp

I love how the US is eternally incapable of getting the most medals...still, we did well considering. sweatdrop
