Thanks to a comment by Cloudskipper, I just got The Log by Craig Charles. I've only skimmed through it so far, but it seems to have tons of practical advice (Bad Days: Advice on how to spot them), wisdom of the human race, and even recipes. It looks to be areally good read. Anyone have a favorite section or philosophical rumination from The Log?

Well, I haven't read it, but I reckon that any adive given out by Craig Charles HAS to be trustworthy! 3nodding
Lol, maybe you can post some little tidbits for us? *smiles sweetly, which ACTUALLY means please-because-I'm-a-tight-goit-and-only-have-a-tenner-to-survive-the-next-half-a-month-on-so-naturally-I-can't-afford-a-book-but-you-might-be-able-to-tell-me-stuff-in-it 3nodding *

Craig Charles' questions: If you've used up all your sick days, is it OK to call in dead? What is there was a lightning flash,a nd it stayed on? Why do Heavyweight Boxing Champions have bodyguards? Why didn't Noaj=h swot the flies? If one synchronized swimmer drowns...do the rest have to drown too?
Some of Craig' advice: Never test a mains lead with your tongue. If you hear the toilet flush and a child's voice going "Uh,oh", it's already too late. If you're swimming in a lake in Africa, and two crocodiles grab your arms up to the shoulder, clap your hands together sharply and that should stun them. If a woman tells another woman that she looks a million, she doesn't mean dollars she means years old. And girls, it's OK to laugh in the bedroom, but don't point while you're doing it. A good day is when the s**t hits the fan, and I have time to duck.
And a recommended pick-up line: You'll need to know my name, you'll be screaming it at the ceiling later.
Did anyone know that he published a book of poetry, called No Other Blue. I'm off to try to find a copy!

OK, I'm back from Amazon.com without the poetry book. Two copies available, the cheapest one over $70.00 US dollars! I love Craig Charles, really I do, but the book and I were not meant to be together! http://www.pguy.dircon.co.uk/craig.htmGo to poetry and you can see some of his poems. I think I'm glad I didn't spend the $70.00. (No offense, Craig! lol )

Oh, I agree he's pretty good. Just not enough for me to spend $70.00 for. (I have little mouths to feed, and they wouldn't have appreciated it! biggrin )
