Rules

I'm not asking for too much. Please try to follow them as best as you can. The guild rules still appy here in addition to whatever rules I've posted.

1. Be literate. Posts should be at least a good four-sentence paragraph, but I'll accept the occasional one-liner. You don't have to write an essay, but you're welcome to make your posts as long as you'd like. Correct spelling and grammar is expected, but a few typos will be tolerated.
2. No power playing/ godmodding. This mean's don't control another player's character, don't make your attacks auto hit (except on an enemy NPC), and don't dodge every single attack launched at you.
3. Please try not to make out-of-character posts that don't have some roleplaying substance attached. Too much OOC clutters the thread.
4. On the subject of cluttering my thread, please PM me your applications to further prevent cluttering.
5. Please put the word "Sponge" in the "Did you read the rules?" section of the application.
6. Do not kill another player's character unless you have his or her permission and both the killer and the victim have PMed me stating they have agreed that it is acceptable.
7. Respect other players. Just because you're enemies in the roleplay doesn't mean you have to hate each other elsewhere.
9. Concerning romance: Any form of romance is acceptable, even thought I don't expect to find it to be the main focus of a Fire Emblem roleplay. However, please keep it appropriate- PG in this case.

White List: These the people who have been excellent helpers in the roleplay, going the extra mile to make it more enjoyable for everyone and following all the rules carefully.

There aren't any names here yet, but I'd like that to change.

Black List: These are the people who have not obeyed the rules, and have been banned from the thread. Please do not post here, or beg for me to unban you. I will report a guild crew member if you do so.

There are no names here. I hope it stays this way.

Story

If there was a Demon King who was finally defeated by the brave efforts of Prince Ephraim and Princess Eirika and their companions, would he not have had a kingdom to rule over and a queen by his side?

In a firery underworld which lay below the continent of Magvell, his wife, the Demon Queen waited many years patiently for her husband to return from conquering the mortal world, unaware that he had been sealed away for millenea, until she lost his essence when the final blow was struck to his real body. She then became quite angered at the mortal world for killing her husband, and began plotting revenge. It took her sixty years to assemble her Dark Army of demons, and in the guises of rebelious soldiers, they stormed Castle Renais. The current King, the son of Ephraim, fled the castle with his wife and went into hiding. They had wished to bring their youngdaughter, Serenity, but they lost her during the skirmish, and was assumed to be dead.

After that, however, things calmed down. The King and Queen of Ranaise returned to the throne, and for ten years, there was no trouble. Of course, the Demon Queen had not accomplished her mission; no human suspected the Princess Serenity had miraculously survived and fled on her own, but without memories of her heritage, as she was too young. She spent the next ten years raising herself as a homeless orphan on the streets.

Adn that was when it things began to truly change. A woman by the neme of Isabelle appeared in the ruined Grado Empire, claiming to have a distant relation to their royal family, which had been wiped out seventy years earlier. She was immediately crowned as Emporess. Nobody knew, but she was of course the Demon Queen in a human form.

The story begins as Isabelle makes plans to use the Grado Army as a force to conquer the mortal realm. Meanwhile, in Renais, the orphaned Princess Serenity lives in the streets as spies report to the castle about Grado's plans to attack. Once again, heroes must band together to save their realm, or else life as they know it will cease to exist.

The Application

Please fill this out for each character you will be playing. Please also attach a roleplaying sample. It need not be Fire Emblem related. I'm just checking your literacy. You only need to submit a roleplaying sample once; you don't need one for every character you make.

You cannot be a character from the original Sacred Stones game. They are all either dead or too old to fight. Some may appear as NPCs. This takes place seventy years after the original game.

Also, you may create your own class for your character. It must be reasonable, and you must have a detailed description of the class' abilities and what weapons/ magic it uses. For original promoted classes, you may combine weapon and magic abilities. For example, your promoted character may be able to use swords as well as Anima Magic. Please be reasonable. Additionally, you may create a new promotion for an old class, so you can be a Myrmidon who promotes to something of your own creation.

Concerning Lords: All three spots for Lords have been taken. You cannot apply to be a Lord.

I'll also need someone to play Isabelle/ The Demon Queen, but she doesn't have to come into the roleplay for a little while if nobody wants to be her early on. Just becaue you're Isabelle doesn't mean you're exempt from filling out an application. I want light on her details for a reason.

Note: The one character per user rule is no longer in effect. You may have as many characters as you would like now, but you must be able to handle the responsibility. If you're busy and can't be around must, I understand, but I would reccomend that you don't have too many characters.

Class: (Also state what class you're planning on promoting to. You can follow the promotion choices in the Sacred Stones or create your own promotion. This is the place where you should describe your original class.)
Appearance: ( Either a good picture or a detailed description.)
Personality: (How your character acts around others. Please try to stay true to this while roleplaying.)
Bio: (Your character's background, family, etc. This should be at least a few sentences, but feel free to make it as long as you'd like.)

Serenity calmly walked the streets of the marketplace in the capital of Renais. She needed food, but was completely out of gold. Nobody was kind enought to donate to the poor homeless girl today, and there was no way that she could work to get money. With a sad face, she looked down at the bracelet on her left arm.

Oh, how I'd hate to sell you, but it seems I must. At least I think you're worth a large sum of gold.

There wasn't a choice any longer. Her only options were to either sell the bracelet or starve. And she chose to sell. Of course, it is no good to sell something if you do not have someone to buy it. None of the shopkeepers seemed to be interested in buying the bracelet, and most could not afford the ten-thousand gold Serenity expected she could get for it. What she needed to find was someone who looked to be very wealthy, and though the marketplace was a good place to find all sorts of people, she didn't seem to notice any that seemed to be of the upper class. However, she did not give up hope. She stood next to a group of wooden crates, waiting patiently for some noble or knight to walk by...

Lerone sat atop a battered stone pillar, her helmet under her right arm and her lance leaning against her left shoulder. Though it was only a small outpost, she was disappointed at the swiftness of her victory just the same. No fun at all.

"Sir!" a soldier called out to her (she preferred to be referred to as "sir" rather than "ma'am"), "out scouts have finished sweeping the area. No one has escaped."

"Good," she responded cooly, putting her helmet on and picking up her lance as she got up. "Tell the men to round up the prisoners. We move out in exactly one hour."

"Yes sir!" He saluted sharply, and then turned to inform the soldiers of this information.

"Another easy assignment," she sighed to herself as she walked towards her men to oversee the procedure.

Serenity's legs were starting to get tired. She had been standing in front of the same group of wooden crates for hours, and not a single wealthy-looking person had come along. Nonetheless, she waited patiently, listening to two men talking a few yards away from her.

"I heard Grado is starting to prepare its army. Do you think they're going to attack again?"

"Not a chance. The country's been in ruins, they're the poorest nation on the continent, and none of the other countries are willing to help them rebuild after the war seventy years ago."

"I know... but there's the matter of the new empress. I know she's been an effective ruler so far.... but there's something about her that I don't trust."

"Well, time will tell, but even if they attack us, I doubt they've got a chance of winning with whatever's left of their army."

Serenity sighed a sight of relief after the second man finished speaking. She was generally up to date on the news, since she spent much of her time in the marketplace, whiere it was always possible to overhear a conversation. However, whenever she heard about war, she grew scared. She wanted peace of all things, and disliked fighting, even though she had trained herself somewhat in the use of a sword. However, in the long run, destiny would force her to battle...

Ah, little Jenna. The adorable angel of Frelia and the pride and joy of King Albert and his wife, Liane. Based on looking at her, you would not see any resemblance. Her hair was dark blue, long and plentiful; unlike Albert's gray hair or Liane's brown hair. If you asked Albert about this, he'd probably blame some recessive gene that haunted his family line, giving all the daughters dark blue hair, and he would point at his sister, Melissa, at the same time. Melissa had blue hair and obviously didn't share much in common with her father, Innes in his time. It was the same deal with Tana and Hayden. More over, he would also tell you that such trivial details were irrelevant. Jenna was his daughter, and nothing would change that.

What was our adorable little angel doing right now? She was in her room, sitting on a chair, staring at a drawing she made. It was not a very well drawn picture, you could hardly tell that it was a picture of a sunset. Perhaps if she used the color red in her picture, it would've been better, but alas, it was in black and white. This was not of importance, though. What was important was that she was looking at this picture.

This was considered odd behavior, however. You see, it was nearly noon. She was only 15 years old, and she was in her room, observing a drawing, where there was life to be had. Why was she confining herself on such a glorious day?! This thought passed through King Albert's mind as he passed her room while on his way to get some lunch. He stopped and decided to investigate the matter. He quietly knocked on the door to alarm her of his arrival. She heard the knocking and looked up from her drawing and spotted her father.

"F-father?"

Tylendel had been sent by the King and Queen to search for their daughter, Princess Serenity. He had recently been assigned the task, his proceedor had just retired. The creeky, old, man was a paladin with a commanding prescence. He was irritable, greedy, and had a fondness for little boys. The blonde knight shuddered remembering the looks he got while he was training under the old paladin's gaze. Tylendel was sitting in a tavern- not drinking ale, he didn't like the stuff- when he caught a flash of bright, blue hair. Getting up, the knigth trotted after the person with blue hair, it COULD be the princess. He immidiately saw it was a girl somewhere in the indefinate age between girlhood and womanhood. He never had to experience being a pubescent girl, so he couldn't tell what age she was.

The girl ended up next to a group of wooden crates. Upon closer inspection, Tylendel confirmed that the girl resembled Eirika; Princess Serenity's Great Aunt. "Excuse me, Miss. May I ask for your name?" The knight asked politely.

(I know you don't want OC posts, but I just noticed something: Saturnos has Innes and Vanessa here while it's Ephraim's granddaughter as the main character. We need to fix this because I don't want to THINK about a 55 year old Innes fathering children! *shudders*)
PostPosted: Thu Feb 16, 2006 9:25 pm

(Yeah, I just noticed that myself. I'm going to let him get away with it, since it slipped by me the first time. He can change it if he wants, though. And what you're doing is fine. I said no OOC in a post without any roleplaying substance attached.))

"M..my name?," Serenity asked, giving the knight who walked by a wierd look. However, he looked to be wealthy enought to afford her bracelet. "I don't know why you think it's so important, but my name is Serenty. And would you like to buy this bracelet? It's just ten thousand gold."

Serenity held her arm up to show the knight Eirika's bracelet. True, ten thousand gold was a lot of money, but the bracelet for sale was priceless. Of course, she wasn't aware of that fact herself just yet.

((Hm, that never crossed my mind either. He'd be 90 years old by now! But, there's nothing wrong with Vanessa at 70 having a child, right? I think I'll change it, though... People normally die at 75.))

*Every time the word "Innes" is used, it is going to be replaced with "Innes's son" or "Albert". Every time "Vanessa" is used, it is going to be replaced with Albert's wife, "Liane". Like his father, Albert is King of Frelia and a Sniper. Liane is a Falcoknight. Albert's hair is the same color as Innes, Liane is a brunette. They are 35 and 34 respectively. They don't really participate in combat for RP purposes. That is all.

Edit: I changed the first post to fit the timeline more adequately. I shall also need to change Jenna's bio as well, but at a later date.*

"Honey, why are you in here again? Why don't you go play outside, dear?" Jenna nodded and rose from her seat.

"Yes, father." She began walking out of the room, and started to pass Albert. He halted her.

"Just a minute. Why don't I walk you part of the way? I'm not doing anything right now. Is that okay?" Jenna nodded, most predictably. If Albert knew one thing, it was that Jenna was obediant and cooperative, perhaps to a fault. He could not remember the last time she refused ANYTHING from him. He began walking towards the courtyard, as Jenna followed him.

Ronald looked down the busy streets and turned down and alley. He quickly changed his robes and looked around. He saw a girl with blue hair trying to sell a bracelet to a knight and he walked closer. He remembered his father telling him about his annuled arranged marriage.

"Boy, You once were supposed to be married to princess Serenity of Renais. She was a pretty lass, with blue hair and green eyes..."

He noticed the girl sounded like the Renais princess his father used to describe and he walked in front of the knight.

"Excuse me... Are you selling that bracelet?" He kept his face hidden. "I will buy it for 30000 gold. Here I have the money right here."

"I didn't think it was worth that much money. But I'll accept," Serenity said softly. She was quite surprised that someone was willing to pay 30,000 gold for her bracelet. And she was also surprised that someone wearing the garb of an average citizen would that much money.

She slipped her bracelet off of her arm, and she was about to extend her hand to give it to the strange man, but then she suddenly stopped. There was something suspicious about this person.

"Um.. sir... why do you want to pay so much for this bracelet? I'd feel really bad taking all that money from you. I can sell it to you for 10,000 gold. That's what I was asking for it originally."

She felt bad about selling the bracelet to this person and backing away from the knight, buther curiousity got to her. She just could not figure out why he wanted the bracelet so much.
