im not trying to find a cure for it or anything...but since you guess are smart...i think. I would like to ask you this. Do you think that ADHD/ADD is Hereditary or a Genetic Disorder? Or could it be both? Is that even possible?

... well, hereditary and genetic disorders are almost the same thing- genetic means it's a flaw in your genes, hereditary means it's a genetic disorder passed down from your parents.
ADD or ADHD is an imbalance in the system, I think- a chemical misfiring in the brain triggers a lack of attention span.
Calming and soothing herbs like chamomile and valerian can help you focus, along with orange or citrusy smells and flavors. Also, avoid caffiene and sugars, which shorten an already short attention span.
And it helps in school if you have a teacher or a tutor who's willing to help you stay on task.

Ahh the differing opinions of thoes in the know! I hate to be a spoil sport but I have to disagree on the coffee thing! If you are dealing with prepubeccent persons, coffe might just do the trick! Recent studies have shown that sugar is not linked to hyperactivity directly either!
Anyhow the bottom line on coffee is that the caffeen in coffee is just like the sitmulant medications that they perscribe kids for ADD or ADHD, and I have seen proof positive of it in my son, who has very mild ADD. The doc perscribbed two small cups of coffee per day... he gor one in the am and another at school at lunch or afternoon break depending on how he felt. It worked! It worked wonders! Until puberty hit! once Puberty hits the stimulant medications for ADD DO NOT WORK and coffee statrs having its normal hyper making effect.
now as for herbal things that help this one Focus http://www.zooscape.com/cgi-bin/maitred/GreenCanyon/questp101327 worked very well also. There is a link to Omega 3 fatty acids and memory improvement but it is a small study.
As for ADD being hereditory I cannot quoat any study on it but it makes sens that it is.

Yay, someone who knows. XD I never had any treatment for mine except my mother's constant "nagging" that helped me stay focused until I was old enough to have overcome it. (Meaning old enough to have found my own ways to focus and stay focused.)
Of course, I'm a mild case. XD
