Here's a fun, wrestling related one:
The death of WCW can be attributed to many factors, but if you had to narrow it down, which one would you say was the most significant in the company's demise?

The one that would be the most significant would be, clearly, the McMahons buying it out.

WCW was already dead before that point. They had lost their TV spot, they lost their financial support, and that was when Eric decided to sell it off to Vince (which was apparently so low that Chris Jericho said that if he had known what Bischoff was offering the company for, he would have bought it).
Personally, while I cite the Fingerpoke of Doom incident as the real turn in the war, putting the belt on David Arquette was probably what was the real killer. Sure, Russo putting the belt on himself was even worse in terms of wrestling, but the Arquette win made national news...and pretty much said that the company was so bad that anyone could be champion. It got press, and while the press ate it up, wrestling fans thought it was stupid and completely stopped watching. Although, when it comes down to it, the death of WCW was caused by the hiring of Vince Russo.
