Dante Cabrell vs Craig MorganRoselyn Peters enters the ring, the crowd coming to attention for this next match.
Roselyn: "Ladies and Gentlemen, the following contest is scheduled for one fall with a half hour time limit."
A blaring siren fills the speakers, quickly followed by a guitar riff. The crowd immediately begins to boo, looking over towards the entrance aisle as a voice screams out from the speakers.
DESTROOOOOY! DESTROOOOOOY! DESTROOOOOOY! DESTROOOOOOY!
How can you follow me down To a world that is nothing for you You're hearing all these voices around I keep on screaming, repeating the sound (YOU'RE SICK)
The opening verse of "We Are One" by Slapshock ends as Morgan walks out into the aisle, holding his baseball bat in his hand, with a towel draped over his head. Most of the crowd responds to the hardcore wrestler with boos and jeers, though a few cheers can be heard from various areas in the arena.
I'll take you down now Send your face into the ground (YOU'RE SICK) You keep on pushing me away
Morgan slowly starts to make his way down the aisle, his head still down, towel covering his face. A few fans lean over the barrier to slap him on the back, but he doesn't seem to notice, stopping in the middle of the aisle.
We are...the people that you hate We are...the ones you can't embrace We are...the ones you love to hate We are one (GO!)
Morgan suddenly grabs the towel and tosses it back off his head, raising his bat high up in the air as he looks over the arena.
Roselyn: "Making his way to the ring, weighing in at two hundred sixty-five pounds...CRAIG MORGAN!
Morgan lowers the bat and continues down the aisle towards the ring. Once there, he climbs up onto the ring apron, then onto the top turnbuckle, facing out towards the crowd and pointing his bat out at a particularly vocal heckler with a grin before hopping down from the corner and setting his bat down, leaning back into it as he waits for an opponent.
WE ARE NOT THE ONES RESPONSIBLE WE ARE NOT THE ONE
Morgan's entrance theme fades out as he turns to face the aisle, waiting for his opponent. As usual, there's a much longer pause between entrances than usual as Dante goes over his normal effort of making the crowd and his opponent wait. By now, a few boos have started, and Morgan looks quite impatient, knowing that if he can beat Dante tonight, it will definitely increase his respect. Finally, the first drum beats of "Away" by Breaking Benjamin hit, followed by a guitar riff, which causes Dante to throw open the curtains.
Dante stands at the end of the aisle, looking out over the crowd as he's met with a series of boos and jeers, though he gets noticeably more cheers than Morgan, likely due to his more wrestling-based style and the fact that a lot of GWA fans are marks for heels. As the next guitar riff starts up, Dante raises his hands in the air, closing his eyes with a cocky grin on his face, seeming to be acting like the only reaction he's getting is cheers. Finally, he lowers his arms and starts down towards the ring as the lyrics begin.
Cold, am I I'm beside myself Because there's no one left...
Dante seems to be ignoring the crowd by this point, his eyes set on the ring and his opponent as he climbs up the steel steps and through the ropes.
Have I grown so blind (so blind)? Only God could save you If you knew your way to the light...
Dante barely even spares a glance at Morgan as he walks past him towards the upper-left corner of the ring, starting to climb up into it.
So fly away and leave it behind, Just stay awake, there's nowhere to hide...
As the chorus kicks in, Dante has managed to get himself onto the second ropes, holding his arms up high in the air like he had done on the entrance ramp, looking over the crowd with the same expression. Afterwards, he hops off, then heads towards the opposite corner.
Roselyn: "And his opponent...from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, weighing in at two hundred sixty-five pounds...He is the "Cocky Canadian"...DANTE CABRELL!"
I see you 'cause you won't get out of my way. I hear you, 'cause you won't quit screaming my name...
Dante does the same taunt in this corner, climbing up much quicker this time, not timing his taunts anymore with the music.
I feel you, 'cause you won't stop touching my skin I need you, they're comin' to take you away.
With that, Dante jumps down from the corner, turning around to lean back in it and looking across the ring at Morgan, finally giving some attention to his opponent. Roselyn exits the ring, referee Dave Nichols coming in to do a quick weapon check on both men, finding nothing, though eyeing Craig's bat warily. Once that's done, he calls both men to the middle of the ring, asking if both are ready. Just as he steps back to call for the bell, though, Dave catches sight of someone coming down the aisle. The crowd quickly follows Dave's gaze there, letting out a huge cheer as they see it's DARSON GRAYS!
Dante looks shocked at this turn of events, Morgan just seeming confused, both men watching as Dar makes his way down the aisle, his eyes locked with Dante's. Many crowd members notice that he's dressed in his wrestling gear. Rolling into the ring, Dar quickly gets up to his feet, grabbing a microphone from a technician as he walks up to stand just a foot or so away from Dante. The two stare each other down for several moments until Dar finally raises the microphone.
Dar: "I honestly don't care if you already have a match tonight, Dante...Tonight, you and I are going to fight, whether it be sanctioned in a match or not. Preferably RIGHT NOW."
Dar lowers the microphone, still staring down Dante as the crowd lets out a big cheer for that. Dante glances around the ring quickly, definitely reluctant to get into this match. Finally, he looks over at Morgan, and seems to get an idea, quickly taking Dar's microphone, which the Samoan had been holding out for him to reply with.
Dante: "Now, Dar, let's not get hasty here...Mr. Morgan over there is scheduled for a match tonight, and it would be very unsportsmanlike of me to take that away from him, don't you think?"
Dante seems pretty confident with his excuse, holding the microphone back out to Dar. The Samoan doesn't take it at first, instead looking over at Morgan for a few moments, then retrieves the mic, lifting it back up.
Dar: "I'd offer a Three-Way Dance or something, but I think Morgan would offer too much of a distraction of me taking you out. So, how about we go with a tag match, then? Morgan gets to have his match, and I get the chance to take you on."
Before Dante can even reply, Dar turns around and walks back over towards the aisle, standing by the corner of the ring.
Dar: "But to do that, I'm going to need a partner. So, anyone from the locker room that wants to help out...Feel free. I'm not picky."
Nothing happens for several moments, but suddenly, the lights in the arena dim down to the point where almost no one can see. A softly synthesized sound washes over the speakers, followed by a guitar playing a soft melody, leading into some spoken lyrics.
Fate is so unkind, Now I should've known. Blinded by the light, Reaping what I've sown. For it all amounts to nothing, Why? Why have I let my stubbornness lie?
After these words are spoken, a harder, heavier guitar riff is heard, joined shortly after by a few drum beats until the song gets into the main part. While all of this is happening, the lights slowly fade back in to their normal brightness, but instead of the white the crowd is used to, the arena is doused in dark red light, almost the color of blood. As the main lyrics of the song begin, the curtains are thrown open, revealing none other than...someone. The crowd really can't tell who this new competitor is, due to the black towel over the man's head, and the entrance attire no one recognizes.
Hell is still overburdened, I must stand and wait in line. I may never know for certain when it will be my time. How was I considered evil? Vengeance taken in this life, Someone granted me reprevial, Decades spent in strife.
After the first set of lyrics from "Overburdened" by Disturbed are sung, the man begins to make his way down towards the ring, holding his arms out to the side. Only a few fans reach out and slap his hands, thinking that they know who it is, or simply don't care enough to keep their hands to themselves. At the end of the aisle, the man reaches up and grabs the towel, throwing it back into the crowd to reveal that it is none other than DARKFYRE!
The crowd recognizes the man fairly easily without the towel on his head, recognizing the hair style and facial features, although he has a pair of sunglasses on to cover his eyes. Mostly cheers come up from the crowd at this realization, though a few boos can be heard from various areas, possibly because they wanted someone different, or maybe they just aren't fans of Darkfyre. Dar seems content with this partner, nodding as he steps back a bit and gives Darkfyre free reign of the ring. Darkfyre heads over towards the ring steps, walking along the apron until he reaches the north-west turnbuckle, climbing up onto it and setting one foot on the second turnbuckle and one on the top, crossing his arms in an X to get a little bit more of a reaction from the crowd, mostly just more intense versions of whatever they were doing before. Finally, he jumps down, unzipping his jacket and pulling off his sunglasses to hand them off to an official once he reaches Dar's corner, Dar doing the same thing with his jacket before turning to speak with Darkfyre for a few moments.
At ringside, Roselyn has a pair of headphones pushed up against her ear, occasionally nodding and speaking into the mic there, seeming to be listening to instructions. Finally, she sets them back down and walks back over to enter the ring, both teams going to their corners as she makes her announcement.
Roselyn: "After speaking with Brianna Rach, I have been told that this match WILL take place."
A giant cheer erupts from the crowd at that, Dante yelling "WHAT?!" very loudly at the same time, while Morgan continues to look a little confused and annoyed at the whole situation, now having to team up with someone he was about to have a match against.
Roselyn: "This will be a normal tag match, and the time limit will be extended to forty-five minutes."
With that, Roselyn exits the ring, allowing Dave to come back in and check out Dar and Darkfyre for weapons, nodding after he finishes, and calling both teams to the middle of the ring. After asking if both are ready, he steps back and calls for the bell.
DING DING DING!
Finally, the four men head back to their corners, discussing things amongst themselves for several moments. Eventually, Dar decides to go out first, while Morgan stops arguing with Dante, just exiting the ring to stand on the apron. Dante slowly turns around to face Dar, rolling his neck a little and looking a little nervous. The two slowly start to circle around the ring, Dar keeping his eyes on Dante at all times. Eventually, they both make a full circle, and Dante suddenly turns around, slapping his hand against Morgan's arm. The crowd boos at that, having wanted to see Dar and Dante face off, but Morgan just glares at Dante for a moment before getting into the ring and beginning to circle with Dar. The Samoan doesn't let this go on for much longer, coming in after a half-circle and offering up a Knucklelock to Morgan. The Hardcore God doesn't seem to find anything wrong with this, and starts to lock up with Dar, only to be kicked hard in the thigh, quickly backing up away from Dar. Dar follows after Morgan, not giving him a chance to back off, and as soon as he gets close enough, comes in with another kick to Morgan's other leg. Morgan backs off again, holding the outside of his leg, but shrugs it off, eventually coming back to lock up in a grapple with Dar. The two of them seem to be pretty evenly matched at first, but Dar has the strength advantage, and eventually pushes Morgan back into the ropes and holds him back against them. Dave calls for the break, Dar placing his hands on Morgan's chest and slowly pushing back...Only to come in with an Overhand Slap right across Morgan's chest! Morgan cringes and turns to the side a little, his hand up by his chest, but shakes it off after a moment, coming back in to lock up in a grapple with Dar once again. Morgan pushes forward at the same time he locks up, managing to catch Dar a little off balance, and this is enough to allow him to push Dar back into the corner. Dave once again calls for the break, and Morgan looks like he's going to give it...Then comes in with a chop across Dar's chest, making Dar wince and lean back into the corner. Morgan backs off afterwards, a grin plastered across his face as he moves back to the middle of the ring with his hands held up, as if he hadn't done anything.
Eventually, the two men lock up once again, Dar managing to pull Morgan into a Side Headlock. Morgan attempts to elbow Dar in the ribs to get out of it, but eventually moves back and pushes Dar into the ropes, sending him across the ring. On the way back, Dar connects with a Shoulderblock, but Morgan doesn't go down, yelling at Dar to come at him again. Dar seems angered by this, running back to the ropes and coming off with another Shoulderblock, only to have Morgan catch him with a chop at full force. Dar somehow manages not to fall backwards, though, running right through the strike to the opposite set of ropes. Morgan seems shocked by this, turning around and not getting his bearings in enough time to counter the next Shoulderblock, which sends him down to the mat. Dar quickly runs back to the ropes as Morgan gets up, coming at him and hitting a Yakuza Kick! Morgan falls down to the mat and quickly rolls to the outside, holding his jaw. Dar watches him for a moment, then runs back towards the ropes, Morgan turning around to lean back against the guard rail for a moment, only to see a charging Dar running at him, not having enough time to move away before Dar flies out through the ropes and nails him with an ELBOW SUICIDAAAAA! Dar catches Morgan right in the jaw with that move, Morgan slowly collapsing over to the side while Dar lays on the floor, catching his breath. After a few moments, though, he gets right back up, walking over to pick Morgan up and catching him with an elbow into the jaw, and following it up with a chop. From there, Dar grabs Morgan and rolls him back into the ring, sliding in to go for a Lateral Press. "1...2" Morgan kicks out. Dar doesn't seem too surprised by it, instead just lifting Morgan back up and catching him with an elbow and another chop. Morgan suddenly comes back with his own chop, though, and the two men begin to trade chops in the middle of the ring, neither one backing down from the strikes. Eventually, Dar suddenly comes in with a series of punches right into Morgan's face, almost like boxing jabs, before ending it with another chop. Morgan seems staggered after that, but suddenly comes right back with more chops, knocking Dar back towards the ropes with them. But Dar recovers in enough time to grab Morgan, turning him around and bashing him back into the corner with elbow strikes, pushing him up against the turnbuckles and allowing Darkfyre to tag in.
Slowly, Dar backs off from Morgan, seeming reluctant to leave the ring, but eventually moves out onto the apron as Darkfyre chops Morgan hard across the chest, then backs up, yelling at Morgan to come at him. The Hardcore God moves out of the corner, seemingly as much to get away from Dar as to answer Darkfyre's challenge, the two men locking up in a grapple after a few moments. Morgan only has a slight strength advantage in this situation, but uses it to its full extent, pushing Darkfyre back into the corner. Darkfyre, however, seems to have something planned, holding onto the grapple as he pushes himself up, climbing up the turnbuckles. At this point, it almost seems to be Darkfyre who's holding Morgan in the tie-up, as Morgan seems worried about what Darkfyre might be doing here. Suddenly, the Man on Fyre let's go of one of Morgan's arms, then drops backwards, locking in a JUJIGATAME OVER THE ROPES! The crowd cheers pretty loudly for that, not having expected a move with that much agility from somebody like Darkfyre. With all his weight pulling down on Morgan's arm over the ropes, the move takes on a new level of effectiveness, and Morgan writhes about, trying to rip his arm away from the Man on Fyre. Luckily for him, Dave starts a DQ count, and Darkfyre releases the hold at four, swinging his legs down to land on the ground as Morgan stumbles back from the ropes and clutches his arm in pain. Darkfyre climbs up onto the apron, grinning at Morgan from his position there, then moves into the ring, circling around. The two lock up again after a few moments, and Morgan seems to be trying to get some revenge for that move by twisting Darkfyre's arm into an Armbar and really cranking back on the hold, twisting his shoulder to the point where it's about ready to pop out of its socket. Darkfyre cringes, trying to get out of the hold, but suddenly rolls forward, loosening the pressure and kipping up to turn and bash Morgan right in the face with a few forearms. Morgan backs off after them, shaking his head a little to clear the cobwebs, but then turns around and tags out to Dante.
Dante and Darkfyre walk out towards the center of the ring, both men staring each other down for a few moments before locking up in a grapple. Darkfyre does a standing switch, locking in a Reverse Waistlock and going for a German Suplex, but Dante quickly plants his feet, trying to pull out of the hold. Finally, he manages to sit out of the move, but before he can roll away, Darkfyre drops down to one knee and locks in a Surfboard, pulling back on Dante's neck and digging his knee into his back. Dante flails his arms about for a few moments, but then calms down, slowly shifting his legs up and twisting his body, finally manging to turn out of the hold, rolling back to get away from Darkfyre and standing up, the two men staring each other down again. Finally, they both move forward, Dante offering a Knucklelock. Darkfyre accepts, moving into the test of strength. As soon as their fingers are locked, both men push against each other, trying to get some leverage, but they both seem to be pretty evenly matched in this. Eventually, though, Dante steps his leg around behind Darkfyre's, and pushes backwards, managing to make him bend over backwards over his knee. Darkfyre tilts his head back to push it down against the mat and and keep his shoulders from touching, trying to shift back up from the position. Finally, he does so, stretching back up and using his own leg, now behind Dante's, to push him back into the same position. Dante does the same thing Darkfyre had, using his head to keep his shoulders from touching, but Darkfyre ends this bridge by jumping up and slamming his shins right down onto Dante's stomach, making him collapse onto the mat. His shoulders go down in the process, and Dave quickly drops down. "1...2" Dante manages to get his shoulders back up in time, leaning his upper body forward and trying to get his breath back after having it knocked out of him by Darkfyre. Eventually, he manages to buck Darkfyre off of him, breaking the Knucklelock, both men getting back up to their feet. This quickly leads into a grapple, which Darkfyre turns into an Armbar, and leads Dante over to his corner with it, allowing Dar to tag in.
Dar connects with a boot to Dante's gut once Darkfyre moves out to the apron, grabbing him and connecting with a few elbows before grabbing Dante by the head and taking him over with a Snapmare, connecting with a kick to his back before spinning around and nailing him with a knee to the face, knocking Dante down onto his back. From there, Dar quickly runs to the ropes, coming back off them to jump up and hit a Leg Drop. Dante rolls over to sit against the corner and recover, but Dar doesn't give him any time to rest, following him over and connecting with a few kicks right into his chest. Suddenly, Dante stands up, staring Dar down as the crowd lets out an "oooo", impressed by Dante's seeming lack of pain from Dar's strikes. After a moment, Dante suddenly thumbs Dar right in the eye, causing the Samoan to stumble backwards and fall down to one knee, the crowd booing that as Dante just flips Dar off. Walking over, he lifts the Samoan up to his feet, then flips him over with a Snapmare, pushing him down onto his back before jumping up and nailing him with a Knee Drop right to the face. Dazed somewhat, Dar gets picked up by Dante and pulled into a Front Facelock, allowing him to drag Dar back to his corner and let Morgan tag in. Morgan catches Dar with a forearm across his back, then pulls him over towards the ropes, pushing him back against them and coming in with a hard chop, making Dar cringe and stumble over to the side, hanging onto the ropes to keep standing. Morgan quickly follows up, though, pushing Dar back up straight and hitting him with another chop, making Dar double over and clutch his chest in pain. From there, Morgan grabs Dar, pulling him across the ring and whipping him into the ropes, but pulling him right back to knee him in the stomach. Quickly, Morgan pulls him across and does the same thing on the other side of the ring before pulling Dar into a Reverse Facelock and turning to drop an elbow across his neck with a Final Cut. Morgan follows it up with an Elbow Drop, then covers Dar for a pin. "1...2" Dar kicks out.
Morgan lifts Dar up to a seated position, grabbing his arms and wrapping them around Dar's own neck to lock in a Japanese Stranglehold. Dar cringes as his airflow gets impeded by the maneuver, as well as his neck getting pulled back. Noticing that he's not too far from the ropes, though, he shifts forward, Morgan trying to pull back on Dar and get him towardst he middle of the ring, but he doesn't have much leverage with just holding onto Dar's hands. Finally, Dar manages to get a foot on the bottom rope, forcing Morgan to break the hold. Morgan picks Dar right back up, though, pulling him over with a Front Facelock into his corner, Dante tagging himself back in. From there, he hits a quick punch right into Dar's ribs before Dante turns Dar and pushes him up against the ropes, getting in one last chop before walking out onto the apron. Dar clenches his fists and stumbles over to the side, cringing, but not letting out a yell. Dante follows him over, grabbing Dar and turning him around, shifting his head under Dar's chin to drop down in a Jawbreaker. Dante quickly lifts Dar back up, then sends him into the ropes, catching him on the way back with a Back Elbow and managing to send Dar down to the mat. The Samoan quickly sits up, but seems a bit too dazed to get up to his feet completely. Dante gets him up standing anyway, but Dar suddenly knocks Dante's hands away, coming in with a series of elbow strikes as the crowd cheers. Dar quickly follows up with a Snapmare, kicking Dante HARD in the back, then following it with a Dropkick right into Dante's head, making the Cocky Canadian roll over into the corner to get some room. Dar seems a little bit out of it now, though, and rolls back over to his corner to tag in Darkfyre. Darkfyre quickly follows Dante over to his corner, coming in and laying in with the stomps to Dante's chest, grabbing the ropes for more leverage. But as he does them, Dante slowly starts to make his way up to his feet, albeit jerkily from the strikes being rained down on him. Eventually, he stands too far up to be stomped anymore, and Darkfyre instead hits him with a European Uppercut. Dante comes right back with a slap across Darkfyre's face, and the two begin to exchange slaps and uppercuts, finally ending with Darkfyre connecting with a Step-Up Enzuigiri...Only to have Dante grab him and slam him down with a Tilt-A-Whirl Backbreaker before collapsing.
Dante is the first one back up to his feet, though, and lifts Darkfyre up to throw him out of the ring on his side. Morgan quickly follows Darkfyre, picking him up and letting loose with some chops, knocking the Man on Fyre back up the aisle, and ending it with a DDT right onto the floor. Morgan sits up and nods to himself, smirking, before standing up and lifting Darkfyre back up, having to drag him back down the aisle from how dazed he is after that DDT. It looks like Morgan's going to roll him back into the ring, but at the last moment, he whips Darkfyre into the steel barrier instead, following over to chop him while he's leaning back against it, making Darkfyre fall down to a seated position against the metal. Dar hops down from the apron, walking around to stare Morgan down from his position across the ring, obviously tired of seeing his partner taken advantage of on the outside. Morgan just flips Dar off again, but does roll Darkfyre back into the ring. Dante quickly follows this up with a pin. "1...2..." Darkfyre kicks out. Dante follows this up with a Camel Clutch, but his back faces away from Dar. Just as the Samoan is about to enter the ring and catch Dante off guard, Dave stops him, telling him to stay on the apron. Dar begins to argue with the ref, and Dante shifts up, exposing Darkfyre's chest before calling Morgan in. Morgan gets the message, getting into the ring and connecting with a brutal chop across the exposed chest and throat of Darkfyre. Dante situates Darkfyre up again, and Morgan hits one more chop before exiting the ring, and Dante releases Darkfyre to cover him in a pin, calling the ref over. "1...2..." Darkfyre kicks out again. Dante lifts Darkfyre up to his feet, going to whip him into the ropes, but Darkfyre reverses it. Darkfyre stumbles afterwards, clutching his chest, and allows Dante a moment to recover before he dashes forward. Dante quickly grabs his legs, flipping him up over the ropes, then turns around and Guillotines his neck across the top one, causing Darkfyre to stumble off the apron, clutching his neck. Dante looks down at Darkfyre, then suddenly runs back to the ropes, the crowd getting on their feet, because Dante's gonna fly! Dante dives forward, throwing himself through the ropes with a TOPE SUICID-NO! DARKFYRE CATCHES HIM IN THE FACE WITH A ROARING FOREARM!
Dante doesn't even manage to leave the ring, laying motionless in the ropes after being hit with that strike, made all the more effective from his momentum. Darkfyre rolls back into the ring, still holding his chest in pain, and covers Dante. "1...2..." Dante kicks out, and Darkfyre quickly lifts him up to his feet, nailing him with a Back Elbow that knocks the Cocky Canadian back into the ropes. From there, Darkfyre whips Dante across the ring, but Dante ducks a Clothesline, coming back as Darkfyre bends down a bit too early to go for his Running Fame-Asse-NO! Darkfyre manages to see this coming in time, rolling to the side as Dante drops down to a seated position, and quickly follows it up with a Running Knee right to his face! Darkfyre slowly starts to roll over towards Dar, but just as he's about to get there, Morgan comes in and connects with an Elbow Drop. Dar gets right into the ring, though, grabbing Morgan and knocking him back into his own corner with a series of elbows, following it with brutal kicks right to the chest, and ending the onslaught with a Step-Up Enzuigiri! Morgan slumps down to a seated position, and Dar walks back across the ring, standing in his corner and allowing Darkfyre to roll over and tag in to him. Dar follows Dante over to the neutral corner where he's stood up, but Dante manages to catch Dar with a boot to the gut before he can attack, following it up with a Headbutt. Dar just straightens up, staring Dante down before grabbing his head and connecting with multiple Headbutts, the crowd letting out a big cheer for that before Dar grabs Dante and Snapmares him over for another vicious kick right to the back. Dar pushes Dante down onto his back, makes a motion with his hands as if he's picturing a target with his mind, then connects with a Fist Drop right onto Dante's face, following up with a pin. "1...2..." Dante kicks out. Dar pushes Dante back up to a seated position and locks in a Rear Chinlock, pulling back on Dante's neck. Dante manages to fight out of it after several seconds, though, rolling over and turning around to face Dar, hitting him with a few shots to the ribs to break the hold before running back to the ropes. Dar catches him with an Inverted Atomic Drop on the way back, though, and runs to the ropes himself, coming back for a LARIATOOO-NO! Dante blocks the move, then grabs Dar by the waist, lifting him up and going for a TURN-AROUND SPINEB-NO! Dar manages to push off Dante and break out of the hold, landing on his feet in front of him. Dar quickly turns Dante around while he's staggered, and crosses his arms across his neck, flexing back for the PLEXCELLENCE! BRIDGE! "1...2...TH-" Morgan breaks the pin.
Dante rolls over, trying to tag out to Morgan, but Dar grabs him before he can, dragging him back over to his corner and tagging out to Darkfyre. Dar props Dante up in the corner, and the two begin to exchange kicks to Dante's chest, throwing all their strength into them. Finally, Dante collapses in a heap in the corner, and Darkfyre pulls him out for a cover. "1...2...TH-" Dante kicks out. Darkfyre pulls him over to a neutral corner, but Dante fights him off with a boot to the gut before climbing up onto the first rope. Darkfyre comes back with a right hand, but Dante knocks him away with a thumb to the eye, allowing him to climb up to the second rope. Darkfyre comes right back with another right hand, but Dante hits him with a Headbutt and reaches down to grab him by the waist, flipping Darkfyre up onto his shoulder and diving off the ropes for a SECOND ROPE GUTWRENCH POWERBOMB! Darkfyre crashes down into the mat from the maneuver, and Dante quickly follows with a pin. "1...2...TH-" Darkfyre gets a foot on the ropes. Dante lifts Darkfyre up to his feet, knocking him back into the corner with a chop, then whips him across the ring to the opposite corner, coming in for a Running Back Elbow to his face. From there, Dante lifts Darkfyre up onto the top turnbuckle, climbing up along with him and setting Darkfyre up in a Front Facelock, looking like he might be going for a Superplex. Darkfyre blocks it, though, forcing Dante go up to the top rope to try and get some more leverage, but Darkfyre suddenly breaks out of the hold, knocking Dante down off the turnbuckles and into the ring with a series of forearms. From there, Darkfyre situates himself, then jumps off with a DIVING HEADBUTT! Darkfyre rolls over, clutching his forehead after performing that maneuver, but Dante definitely got the worst of the attack. Quickly, the Man on Fyre rolls back over to hook the leg. "1...2...TH-" Dante kicks out once again. Morgan is calling for a tag, Dante trying to roll over and tag out, but Darkfyre manages to grab him and pull him back towards his corner, Dar tagging in. Dar pulls Dante over to a neutral corner, throwing him into the buckles, then whips him across the ring and charges. Dante manages to get a foot up and catch Dar in the jaw before he reaches him, though, doing it again as Dar comes back, then pulls himself up onto the second ropes, jumping off as Dar turns around again and catching him with a Diving DDT! Now that Dar's finally stunned, Dante rolls back over to his corner, managing to tag out to Morgan.
Morgan grabs Dar and pushes him back into a corner, coming in with several of those hard chops until Darkfyre comes over to try and break it up, only to have Morgan turn around and catch him with a low blow before tossing Darkfyre out of the ring and turning to chop Dar a few more times, pulling him back out of the corner and setting him up for a German Suplex. Dar manages to break out of the hold, running to the ropes, only to have Morgan grab him and lock him in a Sleeper Hold on the return. Dar tries to walk forward into the ropes, fighting against the effects of the move, but Morgan suddenly changes it into a Reverse Waistlock and drops Dar on his head with a German Suplex! Darkfyre gets up, running at Morgan, but the Hardcore God manages to turn in time to catch him right in the face with a Discus Punch! Darkfyre rolls out of the ring after that, and Morgan lifts Dar up to his feet, hitting him with several right hands to the face. Dar suddenly knocks Morgan's arms away and comes in with several elbows in retaliation, causing Morgan to stumble back...then spin around for another Discus Punch! Morgan quickly runs back to the ropes, but Dar catches him with a Snap Powerslam on the rebound! Cover! "1...2..." Morgan kicks out, but Dar quickly grabs his arm, rolling Morgan onto his stomach and dropping down to lock in a Fujiwara Armbar! Morgan flails his arm out, trying to get over towards the ropes, but Dar wrenches back hard on the move. Dante breaks it up with a Knee Drop, though, before lifting Dar up, but Dar hits him with a few more Headbutts, then throws him out of the ring. Turning around as Morgan gets up, Dar hits him with a boot to the gut, then pulls him into a Standing Head Scissors, hooking both his arms before flipping him up and slamming him down with the FOLDOVER TIGERBOMB! "1...2...TH-" Morgan kicks out, but Dar rolls the move right into a HALF CRAB WITH EXTRA FAMILY SIZE CRANK! Morgan cries out in pain, slowly pulling himself over towards the ropes, but he barely has any leverage in this move. All the while, Dar pulls back hard on his leg, stretching out his spinal column. Finally, though, with a bit of a stretch, Morgan manages to grab the bottom rope. Dar breaks off the move, but lifts Morgan right back up, setting his head under his arm from behind and pulling Morgan into a DANGEROUS BACKDROPPAAAAAHHHH!!!
Morgan seems completely out of it after that maneuver, slowly rolling over towards a neutral corner while Dar remains on all fours on the mat, taking several deep breaths. Finally, he stands up, walking over to the corner where Morgan is pulling himself up to his feet and pulls him away from the safety of the ropes, taking Morgan's hand down in a Pumphandle and throwing his other arm over his head, lifting Morgan up for a WRIST-CLUTCH X-PLODAAAAAHHH!!! Dar drops Morgan right on his head with the move, quickly turning around and covering for a pin. "1...2...TH-" Morgan somehow manages to get a shoulder up, Dante having moved through the ropes to try and help his partner, but he's still dazed from the beatings he'd received earlier. Dar seems too disappionted to keep up at the moment, and rolls over to tag out to Darkfyre. Darkfyre climbs up onto the nearby turnbuckle, as Morgan is still laying on the mat, and turns out to face the crowd, throwing himself backwards for a MOONSAU-NO! Morgan manages to roll away, but Darkfyre sees that happening and manages not to take the move fully on his stomach, quickly getting up to his feet and running at Morgan, going for a DISCUS LARIA-NO! Morgan ducks the move and grabs Darkfyre from behind, flinging him back for another German Suplex, but Darkfyre floats over and lands on his feet, waiting for Morgan to turn around, the Hardcore God having dropped to one knee in delivering the move, and hits him with a SHINING WIZARDOOOOO!!! Darkfyre quickly goes for a cover. "1...2...TH-" Morgan manages to get a shoulder up. Darkfyre seems disappointed, but quickly gets an idea, starting to lift Morgan up, and moving behind him, standing him up and looking for a Torture Rack to set up the FLARE DRIVER V2-NO! Morgan won't let himself get lifted up for the move, and finally pulls away, spinning around for another Discus Punch, but Darkfyre ducks it, waiting for Morgan to turn back around before catching him with a Dropkick right in the face, sending Morgan down to the mat to roll away. Morgan picks himself up in the corner, and Darkfyre quickly follows him over, trying to whip him into the opposite one, but Morgan grabs the ropes. A few forearm shots from Darkfyre later, Morgan's grip loosens, and Darkfyre goes to whip him across the ring, only to have Morgan stop. Darkfyre quickly turns the Irish Whip around, pulling Morgan into his arms and lifts him up with a Bear Hug, giving a hard squeeze before turning him down and walking forward to lock in the INCINERATION!!! Darkfyre pulls back hard on Morgan's legs in the modified Boston Crab, putting a huge amount of pressure on Morgan's back, but Dante quickly comes in and nails Darkfyre with a Northern Lariat to the back of his head, causing Darkfyre to stumble forward and double over. Dante quickly follows up by running to the ropes, coming back to hit a Running Fame-Asser!
Dante gets up, pointing at Darkfyre as he starts to his feet, and comes off to go for the Running Knee Lif-NO! Dar cuts him off with a Yakuza Kick! Dar picks Dante right back up, pulling him into a Double Chickenwing and calling for Darkfyre to hit something. Darkfyre quickly spins around after standing up, going for a Roaring Forearm...BUT DANTE DUCKS AND IT HITS DAR! Dar falls down to the mat, holding his face and rolling to the outside, dazed and having not expected that move at all. Darkfyre seems shocked, stumbling back into the ropes, and Dante quickly runs to the ropes, coming forward for another dive, but Dar rolls in at the last second. Dante lifts Dar up to his feet, but Dar quickly knocks his arms away, coming in with several elbows to the face, then winding back for a BURNING ELBOW SMASH! Dante is staggered after that move, and Dar quickly spins around, connecting with a ROARING ELBOW! Dante falls down to one knee, but slowly starts to push himself up, but Dar spins around one more time for another ROARING ELBOW! Dante collapses down onto his back, and Dar lets out a feral yell before grabbing him and lifting Dante up to his feet, kneeing him in the gut and a few times in the face, just throwing the strikes at Dante to keep him stunned before flipping him up onto his shoulder and pulling Dante down into the X-DRILLAAAAAAHHHHH I!!! Dante's head gets spiked down into the canvas from the move, and Dar quickly rolls him over for a pin!...But neither he nor Dante is the legal man! Dave tells this to Dar, who just stares up at him incredulously, slapping his hand down on the mat several times, showing that he could've gotten a pin on Dante with that move. Rolling off of Dante and pounding his fists down on the mat in frustration, Dar slowly stands up...only to turn around right into a RUNNING SUPERKICK FROM MORGAN!!! Dar falls down to the mat, rolling to the outside and collapsing on the floor there, out of it. Darkfyre quickly runs at Morgan, but Morgan cuts him off with a Spinning Wheel Kick, lifting Darkfyre back up to his feet and locking in a Front Facelock. From there, he lifts him up like a Suplex, but then drops him right back down in a DDT maneuver, driving Darkfyre's head into the mat and following it with a pin. "1...2...THR-" Darkfyre somehow gets a shoulder up, despite how much punishment his head has taken in this match.
Morgan rolls back over towards his corner, seeing Dante there, who has managed to get up from the X-Driller earlier. Dante suddenly tags himself in, Morgan seeming surprised by that, having not actually been looking for a tag, just trying to catch his breath. It doesn't seem to bother Dante, though, as he lifts Darkfyre up, pulling him up onto his shoulders with a Torture Rack, then spinning him down for the BEAUTIFUL LETDOWN! Dante quickly follows with a cover. "1...2...THR-" Once again, Darkfyre barely gets a shoulder up. Dante looks surprised at this, but shrugs it off, lifting Darkfyre back up and setting him up for an Uranage, only to lift him up and slam Darkfyre down on his knee with the EVOLUTIONARY BACKBREAKER! Another pin follows. "1...2...THR-DARKFYRE GETS A FOOT ON THE ROPES!" The crowd is shocked by this point, as is Dante, wondering how Darkfyre is managing to get out of these moves. Finally, though, Dante seems to be ready to end this, and lifts Darkfyre up to his feet, pulling him over to the center of the ring, and positions him in a Standing Head Scissors. From there, The Cocky Canadian hooks both arms, takes a look around the arena, then smirks, lifting up Darkfyre for the SHINING ABY-NOOO!!! DAR BREAKS IT WITH A ROARING ELBOW TO THE BACK OF DANTE'S HEAD! Dar grabs Dante, pulling him over to the ropes and throwing him out of the ring. Dar doesn't notice Morgan leaning over to tag himself in as Dante passes, but Dave does, and allows Morgan to enter the ring, where Darkfyre is on all fours, trying to recover after those two vicious back-targeting moves from Dante. Dar doesn't even notice his partner in danger, thinking that Dante, who he's currently beating up with elbows on the outside, is the legal man. Morgan lifts Darkfyre up, obviously thinking that he only needs one move to beat him now, but the Man on Fyre shows a last rush of adrenaline, knocking Morgan's arms away and pulling him up onto his shoulders in a Fireman's Carry, crossing his legs for the FLARE DRIVER V1-NOOOO!!! Morgan manages to slide off Darkfyre's shoulders, spinning around for one more Discus Punch, but Darkfyre ducks it, snapping out with a Mule Kick to the back of Morgan's thigh, making him stumble forward and clutch his leg. Darkfyre quickly turns around, grabbing Morgan and lifting him up in a Torture Rack, crossing his legs once again, the crowd getting up on their feet as Darkfyre spins him around and drops into the FLARE DRIVER V2!!! Morgan's head gets drilled into the mat with the Cross-Legged Inverted Samoan Driver, and Darkfyre quickly follows with a pin. "1...2...THREE!!!"
The crowd lets out a monstrous cheer as Darkfyre rolls off Morgan to lay on his back, seeming exhausted after that match. Dar turns around at the sound of the bell, at first worried that he had somehow lost the match, but seeing Darkfyre's hand being raised in victory calms him, and he grins, turning around to face Dante, who's now seated in a chair in the corner, too dazed to fight back.
Roselyn: "Here are your winners...The team of Darkfyre and Darson Grays!"
Dar walks around to grab a microphone, cutting off "Overburdened" before it can really begin before walking over to Dante, lifting his leg up to place one foot on Dante's knee, keeping him in place in the chair.
Dar: "Dante, now you know how serious I am about all of this. You know I could've pinned you back there, if we were the legal men. There's no way you can avoid me anymore. So, I have one simple request: At the next show, I want it to be you and me, one-on-one, for the BTWF Unified Heavyweight Championship."
The crowd pops HUGE for that, waiting for Dante's response as Dar holds the microphone near the Cocky Canadian's mouth. Dante seems too exhausted to even smirk anymore, just looking up at Dar and nodding after a moment, saying a simple "Yes" into the microphone. Dar nods, smiling a bit as he steps back off Dante's knee.
Dar: "Good choice. I'll see you in ten days." With that, Dar tosses the microphone into the ring and walks back up the aisle as "Overburdened" starts up again, leaving Darkfyre to celebrate in the ring while Morgan is looked over by officials and Dante continues to sit in the corner of the ring barriers, looking exhausted. But a slight grin can be seen on his face before we cut to the next segment.

GWA Grand CHampionship Match: Steve Twist vs Killa Kal
Roselyn Peters: "The following contest is scheduled for one fall with a 60 minute time limit and is for the GWA Grand Championship!"
The lights in the arena immediately dim and the entrance flashes and sparkles as the opening sounds of "Battlecry" from Samurai Champloo booms out through the speakers, almost moving the arena. The strobe lights flicker on and off, lighting up the stage with flashes of white. The lights on the side of the curtain up on the stage twinkle almost like diamonds.
sharp like an edge of a samurai sword the mental blade cut through flesh and bone though my mind's at peace, the world out of order missing the inner heat, life gets colder oh yes, I have to find my path no less, walk on earth, water, and fire the elements compose a magnum opus my modus is operandi is amalgam steel packed tight in microchip on my arm a sign of all-pro the ultimate reward is honor, not awards at odds with the times in wars with no lords
a freelancer, a battle cry of a hawk make a dove fly and a tear dry wonder why a lone wolf don't run with a klan only trust your instincts and be one with the plan
To the crowd's pleasure, Killa K comes outs from behind the curtains to an overwhelming, ear-deafining pop, wearing his signature all black hoodie, black, baggy pants, and matching black Air Force Ones. His brown eyes roam the hyped-up crowd in attendance for the show. The crowd stands up on their feet, greeting him with a shower of cheers. Killa takes a few steps up, never expecting this type of reception from the crowd, but loving every second of it. A small smirk springs across his face. He throws his arms up in the air, he breathes in the fresh air and pulls his hood back, showing off his hair nicely tied in a ponytail. He begins to walk forward and make his way to the GWA ring, hyping the crowd up along the way, prepared for the battle ahead of him.
some days, some nights some live, some die in the way of the samurai some fight, some bleed sun up to sun down the sons of a battlecry
some days, some nights some live, some die in the way of the samurai some fight, some bleed sun up to sun down the sons of a battlecry
Killa strides past the screaming fans walking right up the steel steps, eyeing the crowd, his left eyebrow slightly raised in amusement. He enters the ring going through the middle rope. Once in the squared circle Killa takes another moment to look at the crowd, loving every second of what was happening. He walks past the ref and steps up on the second rope on the upper right turnbuckle, throwing his arms up in the air again, getting another pop from the huge audience. He steps down and goes to the left turnbuckle opposite of the one he was on, repeating the same taunt. Killa jumps down from that turnbuckle and turns to face the entrance, waiting for his opponent. He takes the time to remove his hoodie and hat as he nods his head with his music as it hits the next verse.
One hundred million souls Are joined together All hoping for something better And daring to ask the question "What is all this worth?" Because the answers Have all lost their meaning They got us all believing We really have a future And who will get their first?
As "Knocked Down" by Pennywise continues to blare across the arena's sound system Steve steps out from the back to a crowd comprised mostly of cheers. Whether or not these are solely because of Steve, or partially because of who his opponent is doesn't seem to matter to "The White Phoenix" as he pauses on the top of the entrance ramp, his hood still over his head and the GWA Grand Championship around his waist. Just behind him stands Saria Nalick who accompanies him to the ring.
Knocked down! Stumble then you fall Stay down! Find some use for it all No way! Walk before you crawl When will you fall?
Cheering and the chorus of this song playing seem to get Steve hyped up and he throws his head back to remove his hood while throwing his arms out to the side in a crucifix position at the same time. Steve doesn't hold this position very long, just long enough for those with cameras to get photos, before he begins to head down the entrance ramp towards the ring.
So many hopeless lives Have all been forgotten Defeated once too often Just hoping to find resolution Held down by a greater force In the search we find no solutions And dream of revolutions But wake to find we're part of the problem So tell me what is worse?
Upon making it to the bottom of the entrance ramp Steve looks around at the crowd once more to encourage more cheers. This works well as usual and he then climbs up the ring steps, only to walk along the ring apron facing the crowd as he exits from them. Steve yells something to the crowd to get them hyped up from here before turning around and using the top rope to jump into the ring. Saria just stays on the outside of the ring and walks over towards the announce table where she waits patiently.
Knocked down! Stumble then you fall Stay down! Find some use for it all No way! Walk before you crawl When will you fall? When will you fall? WHEN WILL YOU FALL!?
With the fading out of "Knocked Down" Steve takes his vest off and hands it to the official before doing any last minute stretching or preparations on his own in the corner as he awaits the opening bell.
Roselyn Peters: "In the corner to my left, the challenger, from Detroit, Michigan, weighing in at 270 pounds and standing 6 feet 6 inches tall, he is 'The Ali of Thugism' KILLA K!!!"
Killa raises his arms into the air as he steps out of his corner, garnering cheers from the GWA crowd as Twist stands in his corner booing. Kal just laughs at this as he steps back into his corner to allow the rest of the announcement to be made.
Roselyn Peters: "And his opponent, from Muskegon, Michigan, weighing in at 242 pounds and standing 6 feet 2 inches tall, he is your current reigning and defending GWA Grand Champion, he is 'The White Phoenix' STEVE 'SAVIOR' TWIST!!!"
Taking the GWA Grand Championship off his waist Steve steps out from his corner and raises the belt above his head, getting cheers from the crowd. Shortly afterwards Twist hands the belt over to Peter London who shows it to Killa K -- who pats it as if it will be his soon -- before flashing it to the crowd and bringing it over to the far ropes. Once London has deposited the belt on the outside he signals for the match to get underway.
The bell rings...
Neither man moves from their corner at first, the crowd cheering both pretty loudly as they size up their opponent. Killa sees Steve is noticeably bigger than when they last met, but it doesn't seem to matter to him as they move towards the center of the ring. When Killa goes for a lock-up Twist dodges out of the way of it for some reason, apparently in no rush to play into Killa's game. Once more Killa goes to lock-up with Steve, but just like last time the champion moves out of the way, getting some boos from the crowd. "So you want me to go toe to toe with a guy who outweighs me by 30 pounds eh?" Steve asks the crowd who gives him a resounding amount of cheers. Twist just shrugs and smirks at Killa as they finally lock up for the first time in the match. "The Ali of Thugism" has no intention of staying in this lock however as he swiftly knees Steve in the gut a couple of times to bend Twist over. Killa then moves to the side of Steve where he clenches his hands together for an Axe Handle Smash to Steve's back. Another couple of these connect with Twist who falls to his knees, only to stand up afterwards and smack Killa in the face! This does little more than annoy Killa, but it is enough to make the challenger lose his cool and smack Steve across the chest with a chop. Steve returns fire with a chop of his own, but is then knocked back with a vicious European Uppercut from Killa. Using the ropes to hold himself up Twist looks backwards to see Saria on the outside and wonders if retreating would be good, but decides against it as he goes for a JUMPING KNEE! Killa dodges this however and swiftly locks Steve in for the HALF NELSON BACKBREAKER! NO! Steve breaks free as he is lifted into the air and manages to land behind Killa where he applies his famed Sleeper!
Killa doesn't stay locked in this for long as he bends down and throws Steve over him and onto the mat. These two continue to demonstrate how well they know each other by Killa going for a kick to Steve's back, only for Steve to dodge the kick and grab Killa's leg to sweep him off his feet. Once Twist is back up to a vertical base, Killa's leg still held with his hands, Steve signals for an old favorite of his: the Figure Four Leglock! Just as Steve expected though Killa is able to shove him off with ease prior to turning and grabbing the middle rope to help him to his feet. Kal finds what a mistake this is when he is suddenly hit with a running knee to the back after he gets to his knees! Instead of following this up Twist just stands by Kal for a moment and asks him how his back feels prior to kicking him in the back several times, making Killa slump down onto the ropes some. It takes a few more kicks from Steve to make him feel satisfied about the exchange, but right after he stops Killa starts to get to his feet, the crowd cheering both him and Twist on. Unlike what one would think this doesn't seem to sit well with Steve at all who quickly places his head under Killa's arm to hit him with a Back Drop Hold, 1...Killa kicks out. This is an easily predicted outcome as shown by "The White Phoenix" swiftly getting back up to his feet and taunting Killa a bit as he holds his back and stands as well. Not wanting Kal to rest up at all Twist goes to goad the challenger into a knucklelock by placing his hand into the air, but Killa shrugs it off and continues stretching his back. Steve doesn't show any anger at this, instead just extending his hand for a hand shake which Killa accepts prior to them locking up once more.
Just as Killa had before, Steve doesn't look to keep this on as he breaks free and ducks under Kal's arm to position himself behind Killa to apply a waistlock. Kal doesn't take kindly to this and quickly goes to break out of it with elbows, only for Twist to duck them prior to hooking Kal's arm in order to place him in a Half Nelson. Once more Killa takes his chances at breaking this by using his opposite arm to elbow Steve, but the GWA Grand Champion hooks this arm as well into a Chickenwing in order to go for the Zodiac Suplex! Of course it's too early and Kal is too big to fall for that as he bends at his knees to keep Steve from lifting him. Twist doesn't get discouraged however and swiftly moves back to the waistlock he had on earlier to hit a German Suplex on Killa. "The White Phoenix" keeps his hands clasped around Killa's waist as he gets to his feet, only to release the waistlock and place Killa in the Sleeper once more. Just as last time though Kal goes to bend forward and throw Steve off, only for the champion to jump up onto Killa's back and apply a Body Scissors as well! The crowd seems surprised by the sheer power of Kal to keep Steve on his back in this position, but before long Killa ends up falling backwards. When he does the grip of Steve quickly loosens as it seems Twist got smashed under the 270 pounds of Kal, but just as quickly Steve's grip gets tighter as he revives himself to try and choke Killa out. Knowing from past experiences this isn't a move he wants to be in Killa quickly starts to work on getting the Body Scissors broken which, being as fresh as he is, isn't too much trouble. Steve is relentless with the Sleeper however and it takes Killa crawling to the near set of ropes and grabbing them to get Twist to release the hold.
Killa struggles to breathe on the mat, holding his throat, trying to get some air. Twist doesn't care too much for this though as he pulls Killa away from the ropes, dropping his knees into Killa's spine. Twist continues with his knee pattern, holding Killa down so the Canvas Assassin can't roll out the way so easily. Twist grabs Killa by his ponytail, lifting him up to one knee. He hooks on to his wrist and sends him to the ropes. Killa uses his raw strength to keep himself down on the mat, and instead throws Twist to the ropes behind him. Twist comes back, looking for a Lariat, but Kal ducks under his arm, hooking his arms around his neck and hits a well placed Neckbreaker. Kal hovers over Twist's body like a prison inmate, sitting down on his back and clutching his hands under Twist's chin, placing him in a painful Camel Clutch. Kal doesn't just sit around though, he knows Twist is too smart for that. So he starts to wrench Twist's head side to side, showing that mean streak of his. The ref gets all up in Twist's grill, but Twist refuses to submit, telling the ref to get the hell away from him. Twist searches for some salvation in the ropes, but they are nowhere near him. He finally realizes he's in the center of the ring. Kal doesn't keep this locked in for too long, pulling Twist up to all fours, but staying mounted on him. He gets in some quick hooks to the side of Twist's face. Kal lifts the now groggy Twist up to his feet, resting his head between his armpit for a front facelock. Kal hooks his right leg and lifts him up, spiking his head and neck back down with a Fisherman Suplex. Killa keeps Twist leg hooked for a cover. "One...two...kickout!"
Kal quickly switches from laying on his back to sitting Twist up and locking in a Rear Naked Choke, applying the body scissors as well. He jerks Twist's body around, trying to cut off all circulation to his brain like he tried to do him earlier. Luckily this time, Twist is by the ropes and gets a hand full of them. Kal releases the hold, trying to pick Twist back off the mat, but Twist stops Killa in his mission, poking him right in the eye. Twist delivers a kick to Killa's gut, making him double over. He hooks both of his arms and lifts him up for a DOUBLE ARM BACKBREAK-NO!! Killa fights back, but Twist tames the animal with some stiff knees to his face, hooking his arms once again and hitting a Double Underhook Backbreaker. Twist runs to the ropes, jumping off them as if they were springs and landing a beautiful moonsault on Kal's back. Twist goes right back to driving his knee into Killa's spine, doing this a few more times before picking him back up. He grabs him by the wrist and whips him into the corner across the ring. Kal hits the padding pretty hard and Twist chases after him only to have his face stopped by Killa's Air Force Ones. This takes Twist off his balance, turning the champ completely around. Killa hops up on the second turnbuckle, waiting for Twist to turn around before taking him off his feet with a Diving Clothesline! With Twist face down on the ring, Kal takes the time to run to the ropes, bouncing back and dropping his large leg over the neck of Twist, knocking plenty of air loose from the White Phoenix. Kal goes straight back to picking Twist up, sending a sizzling hot chop across his chest, hitting another one, another chop, and another until he gets his back against the ropes. Kal irish whips Twist to the end of the ring, Kal bending over, waiting for Twist to come back. As Twist comes off the rebound, he hooks his arms around Kal's waist and flips him over to the canvas, getting off a surprise Gutwrench Suplex.
Twist tries to shake off the chops from Killa, holding his red chest. Twist lifts Killa back up and takes him back with some chops of his own. As he gets Killa back in a corner, he turns him around, making his chest face the turnbuckle. Taking this opportunity, Twist begins to thrust his shoulders into the lower back of Killa, something that Killa doesn't take too lightly. Twist rages on, ignoring the ref's count for him to stop these vicious shoulder shots. Twist backs off, but doesn't stop his offensive. Killa lashes out with a backhand, but Twist dodges this swiftly, hooking a front waistlock and hurling Killa to the floor outside with a BELLY TO BELLY!! Killa flies out the ring, crashing down on the cold floor below. The fans eating this up as Twist regains some energy. He walks over to the turnbuckle and dives off killing Killa with a SUICIDA SHOOTING STAR PR-NOO!!! Kal slips out of Twist's crosshairs at the last second, Twists body flopping on the floor. Kal moves in on Twist, taking advantage of his mishap. He launches him towards the steel steps, but Twist reverses midway, and Killa is the one who's back goes crashing into steel steps. Killa's back bounces off the steps with a sickening thud, but Twist just lifts him up like nothing even happened. He rams Killa back first into the apron multiple times before throwing him back into the ring. Killa lies on the side of his face, his eyes closed and his teeth shut down, trying to conceal his true feeling. Twist grabs the Canvas Assassin by his chin and places him in a front facelock, snapping him over his body with a Vertical Suplex. Twist doesn't break the hold of Killa's head, so he rolls his hips and gets Killa back up to a vertical position. He breaks the facelock and gets behind Killa with a waistlock applied. Killa can feel Twist lifting his 270 pound body up in the air and slamming back down into the canvas with a perfectly executed German Suplex.
Twist bridges his body and gets a pin on Kal. "One...two...kickout!" Killa is left in a sitting position as Twist rushes to the ropes and back, dropkicking Kal on his lower spine. Twist knows exactly what he's doing, and is taking pleasure out of hearing Kal scream everytime he touches that back of his. Twist allows Killa to stand up this time, leaning against the ropes and rushing forward for a Running STO! Twist would've had it if only Killa didn't kick him in the stomach, setting him up in a standing head scissors. Immediately everyone thought he was going for the Final Destination, but Kal held Twist's body up and instead, drives his skull straight into the mat, using a Piledriver to do so. Both men are stranded on the canvas, neither one of them moving at this point. Killa tries to build up some more stamina and charisma, taunting so the fans can get behind him. Killa whips Twist to the ropes after he gets to a vertical base and scoops him up, twisting around, and dropping him off with his signature 180 degree Spinebuster. Kal attempts to pick Twist up again, but using that veteran status, Twist rolls Killa up for a sneaky pin. "One...two...kickout!!" Both men kip to their feet, meeting face to face as soon as they turn around. Killa catches Twist offguard by locking in a standing Anaconda Vice! Kal uses a move that he has NEVER used before, falling backwards and crashing Twist's face into the canvas with the G.T.Y.!!! Kal rolls on top of Twist, hooking his legs. "One...two...TH-NOO!!" Twist is still fighting strong and has no plans of dropping his belt like that. Killa now stalks Twist, pleading him to get up. As Twist stands and turns around, Killa knocks him back with one of his European Uppercuts before lunging himself into the air for the MOB--NOOO!!! Twist hooks Kal's head in mid-air and both men fly back down as Twist hits REVERSE DDT DROP!!
Rather than going for a cover off of this Twist gets to his feet and takes a breather momentarily, his neck still bothering him from the random assortment of whiplash moments during the match. Killa on the other hand gets up to his hands and knees, trying to one up Steve by showing he isn't hurt, but being forced to stay down and catch his breath as well. Not one to waste such a precious opportunity Twist moves towards Killa and kicks him in the abdomen hard, making Kal drop back down to the mat. The Savior continues his assault by stomping on Killa's back several times, counting aloud with roughly 60% of the crowd while doing so. "1, 2, 3, 4, STOP!" Steve yells out before looking around at the crowd and shouting "Hammertime!" prior to jumping up and dropping both his knees into Killa's spine! The GWA crowd seems greatly amused with this as they chant "One more time" but when Twist goes to oblige Killa turns to his side and grabs Steve's foot to drag the GWA Grand Champion to the ground. As swiftly as he possibly can at this point Kal gets to his feet with the leg of "The White Phoenix" still held as he tries to turn Steve over for an STF. Twist isn't going to allow this though and quickly rips his leg out of Kal's clutches before getting to his feet. What Steve fails to notice while doing this is "The Ali of Thugism" who charges at Steve in order to hit a Running European Uppercut! This sends Steve backwards into the ropes which serve to hold him up as Killa stalks him, ready to finish things and get the GWA Grand Championship for himself. As soon as Twist stands up off the wrapped steel cables Kal strikes with a kick to the abdomen as he goes to hook Steve into the Greed of Gambino!
Luckily for Steve he has this move scouted in advance and before Killa can drop to his back to lock Steve in the Savior places one of his feet onto the near bottom rope, forcing Peter London to get the "Canvas Assassin" to relinquish the hold. Kal doesn't do this however and instead tries to pull Twist to the center of the ring, only for Steve to push Killa off of him and suddenly hit a JUMPING KNEE as Killa moves back towards him! This shot catches Kal directly in the jaw and really tests his chin as he staggers away from Steve, only for "The White Phoenix" to come towards him and knee him in the gut. With Killa bent over Twist places his arms around the midsection of the challenger prior to hitting him with a Gutwrench Backbreaker! Steve cusses loudly as Kal lands on his knee, but the pain he is feeling is nothing compared to that of Killa who slams his fist into the mat several times while holding his back. As soon as he can feel his leg again Twist quickly goes for a cover, 1...2...2.5...Killa kicks out. Twist looks slightly disappointed as this, but lets it rest as he gets back to his feet and drags "The Ali of Thugism" up as well. Instead of having Kal facing towards him Steve opts to have the area he is targeting facing him and plants a couple of hard knees into it in order to stop any ideas Killa might have about escaping. Being relatively sure that Kal is worn down enough now Steve places the challenger into a Half Nelson Half Chickenwing in order to once again go for the Zodiac Suplex! Just as he had earlier in the match Killa blocks this once more, frustrating Steve who continues trying to lift Kal off his feet. Finally it seems Twist has had enough as he loosens his grip slightly, only to suddenly jump up prior to falling backwards and driving his knees into Killa with a ZODIAC BACKBREAKER!!! The crowd goes wild upon this latest attempt by Steve to shatter Kal's spine and keeps up their volume as Steve covers him, 1...2...2.9...Killa JUST kicks out!
The GWA Grand Champion cannot believe it as Peter London tells him he only got a two count. After staring blankly at Killa for a few moments Steve yells at London not to count 7 before 3 this time as he goes for another cover, 1...2...2.5...Kal kicks out again. Now Steve knows that last count wasn't just a miscount by the referee, but it doesn't leave him any less frustrated as he stands to his feet, picking Killa up with him. Once Steve is up he looks around at the crowd who waits in anticipation before erupting as he shouts "G...T...O!!" Before Steve can even think about this however Killa does a swift about face and plants his right Airforce One into Twist's abdomen prior to hitting the champion with a Double Underhook DDT! Right into a cover Killa goes, not wanting to waste energy if he doesn't have to, 1...2...Steve kicks out. This is unfortunate, but not a surprise for Killa who gets back to his feet and swiftly hits a Leg Drop across the neck of Twist prior to another cover, 1...2...Steve kicks out. This process is repeated once more leading to another two count for Kal, but this doesn't stop the challenger as he drags Steve to the nearest corner afterwards. With all eyes on him Killa goes up to the top rope in order to hit Twist with a Diving Leg Drop! 1...2...2.6...Steve kicks out once more as the crowd lets out mixed reactions. Knowing full well that history can repeat itself Killa keeps his chances for victory alive as he takes Steve off the canvas and places his neck across the middle rope. Upon doing this Killa goes out onto the ring apron where he climbs the nearest corner, placing himself firmly on the second rope as he goes to hit Steve with a GUILLOTINE LEG DROP!!! NO!
Just as Killa goes to jump, Saria grabs onto his leg in order to stop him. Kal looks down at her as she yells at him about how stupid hitting a move like that would be. Killa doesn't seem to care about this as he looks her right in the eye to tell her he WILL be winning that GWA Grand Championship no matter what the cost is. While this conversation goes on Twist gets to his feet inside the ring, holding his neck which has been thoroughly punished. Seeing the opportunity Saria has provided him with "The White Phoenix" moves towards where Killa is on the second turnbuckle before running forward and hitting a JUMPING KNEE TO THE BACK OF KAL!!! This brutal shot knocks the challenger out to the floor as the GWA crowd once again gives a mixed reaction due to Saria "protecting her client." While Steve stays in the ring, pleading with the crowd that it wasn't his fault in a mocking fashion, Saria is forced to use damn near all of her strength to lift Killa off the floor as the challenger appears to be dead weight. Once Saria has rolled Killa into the ring Twist goes for a cover, 1...2...2.9...Killa kicks out! The GWA fans come unglued as the one man betting odds have favored to dethrone the Savior stays alive in this match. Dueling chants of "let's go Twist" and "let's go Kal" start up around the Gambino Gymnasium as Steve lifts Killa to his feet prior to placing him up for a BRAINBUSTER!! The Twist fans in attendance go insane as Steve keeps Kal locked in a front facelock and rolls back to his feet where he hits Killa with a CROSS-LEGGED BRAINBUSTER!! The strain from this combo on Steve's neck is obvious as the Savior takes a breather on the ground after this one, but despite not being used to doing it on such a large opponent Steve is able to keep Kal locked in as he gets back to his feet once again. With everyone on the arena on their feet now Twist crosses Killa's arms and lifts him into the air to hit a CROSS-ARMED BRAINBUSTER!!!! Just as he had done in his debut against Sparco Steve completes this combination and goes directly into a cover, ********" is all Steve can manage to mouth as the Gambino Gymnasium sounds more like a rock concert with all the noise being emanated. Upon getting to his feet Steve address the fans by yelling "this is ******** OVER" as he lifts Kal up to his feet, only to be surprised by Killa hitting the MOB!! Both men are down on the mat now as the crowd goes back to their dueling chants and referee Peter London begins to count both men out. 1...2...3...4...Steve begins to get to his hands and knees. 5...6...Killa starts to get up as well. 7...8...Steve is up and when Kal gets up at 9 he charges the challenger with a LARIATOOOO-NO! Killa brutalizes the GWA Grand Champion with a vicious European Uppercut prior to going for the GTY yet again! Twist doesn't allow this to happen as he breaks out and smacks Killa with several chops to the chest. Kal just fights right back with chops of his own which only seem to annoy Steve. Finally Killa uses some strategy by kicking Steve directly in the knee to stop the champion cold in order to set Steve into a standing head scissors. Even his injured back won't stop Killa now as he lifts Steve up for the FINAL DESTINATION!!! When Kal goes to hit the first Powerbomb of it though Steve pushes himself over Kal to hit him with a Sunset Flip! 1...2...Steve stands to his feet where he lifts Killa up quickly for the GANSO BOMB!!!! The Twist fans in the Gambino Gym cheer wildly while the Killa fans just slump their shoulders as Steve covers the challenger. 1...2...2.999...3!!!
NO!!! As Steve gets up and starts to celebrate his victory Peter London sees Killa's foot on the ropes and tells them not to stop the match. When Twist doesn't hear the ring bell going off he turns around and asks London what the deal is. The ref points to the bottom rope which Killa's foot is on and Steve berates Peter. "This is bullshit! How do you know he didn't just stick his foot on the rope afterwards!?" London tells Steve he has to continue the match in order for it to be fair, but it's quite obvious Twist doesn't want to after the ref clearly counted to three. Finally Steve looks out to the crowd and yells "Who wants to see me kick this guy's a**!?" to a resounding amount of cheering. With an evil look in his eye Twist catches a chair that is tossed in the ring to him by Saria as Peter London shrinks back in the corner, the fans in the Gambino Gym chanting "DO IT, DO IT, DO IT!" With a smirk on his face Steve raises the chair into the air, only to suddenly be taken off his feet into an Inside Cradle by Killa, 1, 2, Steve kicks out! Even the fast count by London doesn't let a beat up Kal take the belt as Twist swiftly gets back to his feet, grabbing the chair and going after London who slides out of the ring. Steve decides better than to follow him and instead goes over to Killa to help him up and allow this match to continue, throwing the chair down at his feet when doing so. With Kal on his feet Twist just looks him in the eye and says "sorry" before turning Killa around to lift him for a BURNING TWISTER MACH ZERO ON THE CHAIR!!!
On the outside of the ring the bell sounds to signal the end of the match while on the inside of the ring Twist lifts the chair back up before planting it onto the bloody face of Killa several times, getting a massive amount of jeering from the crowd. When Roselyn goes to give the official word on the match Saria knocks her over and takes the microphone before sliding in the ring where Steve continues brutalizing the skull of Kal. By the time Steve is done the chair doesn't even look like a chair anymore, just a beat up piece of metal that he throws outside the ring while wiping the blood of Killa across his chest and taking the microphone from Saria.
"Okay slobs, time for you to shut the ******** up for two seconds. I'm sure you're all surprised, appalled, or some other word ending in 'ed', but what you aren't is respectful. That's right, despite not looking anything like some old fat comedian I too get absolutely no respect around here and I'm ******** sick of it!"
While most of the crowd continues to jeer Steve a few fans in the front row begin to chant "We respect you" at the GWA Grand Champion. Twist just smirks at this before flipping them off and spitting at them prior to continuing.
"That isn't going to work anymore. No verbal b*****b from you people, the boys in the back, or management is going to win me over. There isn't a single damn thing in this worthless, struggling indy promotion that can win me over anymore. I'm sick and tired of my fame carrying this place on its back to make it appear better than it will ever be. Because unlike you sniveling, lower middle class, tasteless individuals I associate myself with the ELITE. Hell, that is why I am the GWA Grand Champion, because I am the BEST there is. 'Better than' is simply a phrase for someone trying to get to where I'm at."
Some fans in the crowd start to chant "boring" as Steve pauses. More join in as Twist just places his head in his hands for a moment.
"You're bored huh? Well that's too damn bad because you're going to sit right there and listen to me whether you like it or not. Want to know why? Because you want to see the main event. You know, the one between the two guys who couldn't put on a four star match if I spotted them three and a half. Not that those two deserve the main event of any show anyway. So they called each other names and ******** themselves over more than Pam and Tommy, big ******** deal. I, as GWA Grand Champion, should be headlining EACH AND EVERY SHOW! Back when your precious Roy Chambers had the belt he got to main event every show. He even got to main event shows he wasn't defending the belt on. Yet when you have the absolute best wrestler to ever grace the squared, not hexagonal you spot monkey lovers, but squared circle, you give him second billing night in and night out."
"Of course it isn't just the second billing that devalues this company, but who it is to. I mean come on, Bryan Kutterman going up against The Unholy Meatpuppet!? Newsflash dumbasses, those two only have one redeeming feature between them and that is that they have BOTH jobbed to me. At least this show and it's ultra-cliche name has a main event within reason. It wouldn't be however, if management wasn't obviously playing favors to both individuals, neither of which deserve to even take tickets. Then again looking at who else they might try to ******** me over with it makes sense. The continuation of the most HEATLESS feud in GWA history between Chambers and Sparco doesn't have s**t on two wannabe MMA fighters."
More "boring" chants come from the crowd during this, but there are some fans who seem pretty entertained by Steve shitting on the roster like he is.
"Enough about how crappy a show this is since I just sold out every DVD that will be produced by myself. I have to explain myself to poor, beat the ******** out of, Killa over here. You see Kal, we may have been tight and all, but I can't have myself associating with a two bit Detroit native like you when I have status. Seen as how the only status you've ever gained in your life is that of CTC Heavyweight Champion, something anyone with two legs...well maybe not even that, could do I'll have to explain this to you. Why, just last weekend comes to mind as an example since I was hanging out in Vegas with 'Pretty Boy' Floyd Mayweather Jr. For those of you who don't watch boxing, he is the best pound for pound fighter in the world today, undefeated, and holds quite a few belts. He is also from Michigan so I expect Kal here may have heard of him at one time or another."
"Anyway as you can tell me and Floyd, we are the definition of elite. Some like you Kal...well you're more like an Arturo Gatti. You see, you have the fame and the fans behind you when it comes to fight night, but when you're up against someone at the level of me, or Floyd as Gatti was, you crumble under our greatness. THAT is what status is Kal. It is popularity and superiority among the popular and superior. ANYONE can be popular among the common filth that is these GWA fans, but there are only the privileged few like me that can be the best. Because while you draw the moths to the fire to fight for you, it is I who thrives off of their crushed dreams as I break your bones and destroy everything you worked so hard for."
"Because no matter who you peasants cheer for, no matter how management treats me, and no matter how much you want to be me I am the absolute best in the GWA and none of you are even a speck of dust compared to me. Not only am I too good for this little tiny company who couldn't pay my demands with the salary of every person on the roster, but I am also TOO good for wrestling and you should pray to your fake invisible man every ******** day that I'll come back here and wrestle again. I am the Pound for Pound King, not some mythological p***y of a beast, but 'The Aphotic Rose' Steve 'Savior' Twist and the GWA is now under my control!"
"You may now rejoice ******** this proclamation is made Twist is literally booed out of the building by GWA fans who begin throwing beverages at him in an attempt to get him out of their sights. Steve simply laughs maniacally at them as he exits the ring, Saria handing him his GWA Grand Championship on the way out as he slowly marches to the back. A few fans try to take shots at him for running down their favorite promotion, but Steve just moves away from them and continues to laugh as he and Saria pass through the curtains. Meanwhile Killa is helped out of the ring and to the back as officials try to scrub the blood soaked ring somewhat before the main event gets underway.|
