Shesha Harlin Unsocial, Intelligent, Average looks... Shesha shuffled in, tired and weary. He'd been to just about every place in Hogsmeade and he wasn't sure if it was possible to be more tired than this. His wounds and feet ached, he was thirsty and hungry and felt read to collapse. He was dreading the walk back to the castle, but knew he would have to face it soon. It was empty, because the students of Hogwarts were at the celebrations in the hall, but the shop was still open. "Do you have any job positions open?" Shesha asked "Something where the person has their own room and stuff?" The man gave a shrug "It's funny you came and said that boy, because I was thinking about retiring, you know... Quitting while I still have money enough to support myself until I die. I keep spending it on this shop, but no more, I think!" Shesha listened half heartedly to the old man rant about his money problems and thought about stuff in his head. As the man started on a new topic, Shesha interrupted. "Would the next person have to buy this shop?" he asked. The man nodded and opened his mouth, but Shesha was faster. "For how much?" he asked "Hmm, I think I'd sell it for about 5000 galleons." he concluded. Shesha's heart sank. That was a lot, even for a sweet shop. Then again, it was right next to Hogwarts, so it would bring in the money and people would be prepared to pay that much for it. Shesha had nothing though. He was an orphan. He knew that when he grew up he'd have to start from the bottom and pay Hogwarts for the robes and books he'd had to borrow. The man saw his dejected look and frowned. "You didn't think you could look after the place, did you, son?" he asked lightly. Shesha shook his head. "My friend's leaving school and she needs a job, but she's pathetic. She'd never find 1 in a hundred years! So I've been looking for her as a favour." he explained. The man frowned and then gave a small nod. "I'll give her a trial run of a week and show her the ropes of running the place, then I can hand the shop down to her for free. There's two bedrooms upstairs with a kitchen, toilet and a small living room. She can live there when I'm gone." Shesha could hardly believe his luck as the man handed him a form and told him to go off and show her. "Thank you! You're really kind!" ...Just about right for the Ravenclaw books.

Sam walked into Honeydukes, thinking about buying a great big bag of Acid Pops to feed to the 1st years in Slytherin. It would be funny to watch them run screaming up to the Hospital Wing. No doubt she'd get a detention, but who cared. It would be worth it and Matron would be able to fix their tiny tongues with ease. Yes, she thought. She would do that. She shoulder barged her way through the crowd towards the shelf which held the Acid Pops. She picked a handful, and pushed her way to the queue. "Twenty of 'em?," smiled the shopkeeper. "You've got a damn strong taste for acid." "Whatever old man. Now hurry up. How much?" she snapped. "Um, twenty galleons, please," the shopkeeper stuttered. She snatched up her bag and stormed out.
