Professor Erick Papers Sometimes I get confused on whether I'm a free bird...
He walked in and frowned thoughtfully as he looked round at the Quills. He shuddered and thought of his own feathers. He hated Quill shops and he hated quills, but he'd learned to suffer having one. He closed his eyes "Have you got a quill yet?" he asked her and hugged himself.
Or a trapped professor.

Telia bounced into the shop behind him. "I do but it's getting pretty worn down by now." She pulled it out of her bag. The feather was almost gone and the quill tip was worn down to a stub. "See?" She walked over to the phoenix feather quills and admired them, reaching out to caress one of them, a deep red with yellow markings on the tip. She sighed and looked at the professor. "I love the phoenix quills. They're so beautiful." She pulled out her purse and brought out a few coins. Sh ecounted out the change and handed it to the store keeper and snatched up her quill. She rubbed it gently down her face. "Isn't it amazing, sir?"

Professor Erick Papers  Sometimes I get confused on whether I'm a free bird...
He shuddered "I have to check something, please hold on a moment." and with that the professor shifted into his bird form and ruffled his feathers, feeling them all. He flapped a bit, content and shifted again. The shop keeper looked at him for a moment, then came from behind the counter and put on a bright smile "Would you like to donate some feathers, sir?" he asked. Professor Papers stumbled back, towards the door, and went pale "N-no, Telia, let's go please... I really need a butterbeer!" he turned to move out but the man grabbed his arm "Come on, just a few! Times are tough these days and all those birds are bein' shot down by muggles so that there are no feathers to spare... a hawk goes down nicely with costumers..." The professor tried to shake him off, but the man was strong "Stop it! Stop it! Get off of me!" he interrupted and pushed at him with his other arm, but the man caught it and pulled him into the shop "Come on now, I'll pay you if you want, it doesn't cost you anything-" But the professor had had enough. He built up his fear and anger and forced out a spell without a wand "Flipendo!" he cried and ran out of the shop before the man hit the ground.

Telia stopped in the shop just long enough to pull out her wand and shoot the man with a "Silencio!" She glared at him and ran out of the shop after the Professor. Catching up with him in the street, she hesitantly put her hand on his arm. "Are you okay sir? I'm sorry, I should've thought about that. I shouldn't have asked you to come in with me." She looked up at him. "Would you like to go get a butterbeer now?"

He looked at her, a fire still in his eyes, but it was soon put out as he looked into her face. "Yes, a butterbeer is what I need." he smiled and put his arm around her in a fatherly way, shaking her a little "It's ok, I want to make sure you were ok and I couldn't do that outside, could I?" he looked up at the sky, worried, but the sun wasn't setting just yet. "We need to hurry though." he added quietly and quickened his pace towards the pub.

Sam walked in. She really needed a new quill, especially after she'd stabbed that stupid boy who sat next to her and started talking about random junk. She walked up to the counter. "Where are your most expensive quills? I need a new one," she demanded.
"Our most expensive quills? Surely you don't need one of those? I mean your just a student," the guy stuttered.
"I said show me your most expensive quills. Now show me!"
"Yes ma'am. There just over here." The shopkeeper walked her over to the shelf. "Thank you. That wasn't so hard was it?" She picked up one of the quills and examined it. Still carrying it in her hand she walked over and dropped a few coins on the table. She turned around and walked out.

Noah Baronson Noah smiles after the bossy girl. It was amusing to see her thinking she could frighten him. Nothing could sway him. He sat and thought. 'maybe I shouldnt have been so pushy with the professor. But those hawk feathers would've been good to sell. These times are rough' Ooc)) uh, sound familiar? Hehehe. 3nodding the original saying was 'these times are dark' but it would be quite unoriginal of me to say that, yes? smile

Noah Baronson Noah feels a bit bored and wants someone to talk to, so he posts a sign in the window: Looking for assistant--hiring now. He gazes at his sign in satisfaction, but decides it needs a finishing touch. He draws a quill off to the side and hangs up the notice.

Shesha Harlin Unsocial, Intelligent, Average looks... He walked in and studied the shops interior with interest. He'd never been inside before and never thought that there could possibly be so many quills or inks. After a quick look around he walked over to the shop keeper a little embarrassedly. "Hey, do you know what kind of quill would last a long time?" he asked ...Just about right for the Ravenclaw books.
