The Pokemon Wi-Fi Federation. Throughout the regions, whispers of it travel by word of mouth alone. Some believe it to be a rumor, some believe it to be a hidden utopia. Few know the truth about this hidden area, an area not on any map.
The PWF is a man-made region out in the middle of nowhere. Created a long time ago by two extraordinary men, it was made to be the next step: An area for all the champions of other leagues to come and face the next challenge. Once a trainer fought his way through a league, they were told by the Champion of that region that the PWF is where they wanted to go next. A region full of champions, in essence, is the Pokemon Wi-Fi Federation.
(A history of Team Nightwalker)
As with everything, you have to take the good with the bad. Sometimes, it just so happens that with an ultimate good comes an ultimate bad. Since the dawning of the PWF, an organization known as Team Nightwalker has plagued the land. Commanded by Verin Verdelet, a ghost of a man with unknown origins, the organization has one ultimate goal in mind: Creating an eternal darkness that only Dark and Ghost type pokemon can thrive in, making them the ultimate power. Verin and the forces he commands have sent out numerous attacks on the PWF with goals in mind such as capturing Darkrai and Groudon to use their powers for nefarious purposes. This battle between those loyal to the PWF and those of Team Nightwalker constantly rages on.
