As the sunset over the horizon, the stars began to appear one by one then in groups. It was a magnificent sight to behold. The young half-breed watched the change from day to night through his piercing blue eyes. His long tail swayed back and forth as he stood there in awe. His ears moved around at the sound of crickets and frogs that filled the night air. His whiskers twitched as lone fireflies began to light up and dance their stories. Shadow, like when the sun beams down on an object that a dark patch appears behind it. His name made no sense in how he looked or how he act around other creatures. A light sound could be heard, purring from the half-breed. He loved the night. From the cool air, to the life that rose up, and running around the area without having to worry about being seen by other foxes. He scurried off towards the woods as he felt the cool air through his fur and whiskers.

As the light faded from the world around him, Itzli felt his heart lighten. Nighttime, while not quite ideal for his brand of "magic" sometimes, was always the time at day when he felt the most alive. It may have had to do with his bloodline, or simply his love of the shifting shadows. Normally, he would have been content to gaze out of a window into the darkness. But tonight was a restless one; he just had to get out there and do something different! No practicing card tricks or reading dusty old tomes under a bright, buzzing lamp, alone. No, he was feeling adventurous! Wild, even!
The hulking feline stalked off the beaten path and hopped on a rock, casting a faintly eerie purple gaze over his surroundings. Lightning bugs buzzed about his ears, occasionally casting a glimmer of light to illuminate the world around him. Some of his siblings might have casted some sort of spell to light the way... Itzli could do no such thing, of course. But he had no reason to; his sight wasn't hindered that badly in the sun's absence. Ah, the advantages of being a feline! He finally leaped down and began to walk merrily through the grass and into the forest, taking very little care to be quiet. Simply too absorbed by his surroundings to bother with any sort of stealth that his panther heritage might have given him, he let a gasp of amazement escape him as a bat flew overhead. He didn't even notice the other catlike noodle nearby, so taken was he with the sounds and sights of the dark forest.

Shadow ears flickered at the sound of the bat as well. He wiggled his butt as he rushed off after it. He didn't see the other catlike noodle until he ran right into him. "Oooof!" He said after he got back onto his feet as he dusts himself off. He blinked as he noticed the other noodle had a little tiny hat, horns, and a long tail like himself. But he noticed that there wasn't any wings.
"You alright there?" Asking as he held out a paw to help him up from the ground. His tail flickered lightly behind him as his curiosity grew more and more about this other fox.

Itzli let out an inelegant bellow as he was crashed into, but wound up laughing seconds after he hit the ground. Well, who would have thought that he'd meet a new friend in these parts? Well, potential friend... Oh, who was he kidding? He loved almost everyone from the moment he met them! It was just the sort of cat he was; social butterfly, you might say.
"I'm fine, thanks," he said through deep, resonating guffaws. He gladly took the paw and used it to hoist himself back onto his feet. As he calmed down, his tail flicked thoughtfully as he looked the other cat over... He was grey with some dark accents, had long whiskers, a tail much like his own, and... And the most beautiful crown he'd ever laid eyes on! "Oh my goodness!" He couldn't help but gasp once more, his hazy violet eyes practically gleaming as he stared at the crown. This was a bit more impressive than a bat to him; Itzli had an almost strange love of headgear, particularly hats.
"This might sound random, friend, but your crown is amazing! Puts small hats like mine to shame, almost." He flicked his rounded ears, trying to make out the exact color of the crown. Silver, he was guessing... With green or quite possibly blue gems. Color wasn't something he could make out so well in the dark, but the shape itself was enough to dazzle him.

"Sorry, it was my fault. Didn't see that you were there cause I was chasing after a little white moth." Shadow said as he looked around for the little winged creature. He looked back to the fellow feline with a smile and a soft purr. He was very social and sometimes princely to others.
The left ear flickered when the other expressed his thanks for the help. He jumped lightly when the other gasped. A surprise yes, but he didn't expect the feline to comment on his crown. It was different from the other questions asking if he was royalty or a prince. He smiled even wider as his tail flickered. "Why thank you! I admired you little hat. Reminds me of a fox I ran into. He has a little crown that floats." He said as he remembered his encounter with a fox called, Konani. "Might I ask for your name?"
