 Cantering alongside a slow-running stream, Trixie enjoyed the breeze as it blew her lush and curly mane away from her eyes. The ground was a little too uneven for a proper trot, but she didn't mind taking it a little slow; any faster and she would get a sweat, which she didn't like feeling clinging to her skin. She was certain that sweat felt different on her than rain or dew....it was as though she could actually FEEL the impurity lurking in those clear, innocent-looking beads.
With a toss of her mane, Trixie walked up to the edge of the stream and carefully eased herself down, looking dreamily at the water and her reflection. The running stream chopped it up and made it look as though her head had been trodden on, but she still liked the way her eyes gleamed and sparkled, and the stream almost sounded as though it were trying to speak to her. She rather wished she would have someone like another of her kind to talk to, but she wasn't about to say such a rude thought out loud, not with the stream right there trying it's hardest to show her how pretty she looked.

 Sayoko had decided on a whim to go for a rather long run and then a slow walk back home. She had ran for what seemed like hours to her, she liked to feel the earth rumble under her hooves as she raced on it. Yoko came to a halt though because when she ran into the opening, she saw another mare and she was staring intently into the water. The thought crossed her mind to leave but in the end she chose to stay, she was a little curious about this mare.
She walked slowly over to the mare and decided that she should probably speak to her. "Hello." She was trying her best to be nice, she wanted to change after all right? A sigh escaped her as she battled her decisions in her mind and the possible out come the decision would have on her. In the end, she decided that she should just try and be nice, after all what did the mare ever do to her?

The sudden hello caused Trixie's ears to move forward, and she turned away from her warped reflection to regard the mare that had just appeared in front of her. She had hardly seen anyone let alone spoken to them, so she knew that here was a stranger. Still, one could just as easily make a friend of a stranger if one would just show a little cordial respect.
She carefully got up from her position on the riverbank and nodded once in greeting. "Hello." Trying swiftly to think of something else to say, she added quickly. "It's a lovely day, isn't it? I'd rather it be sunny than rainy; rain is nice for flowers, but not for one's mane."

Sayoko was taken a little aback by the mares behavior but just marked it down that she must have only startled her. "I apologize if I startled you, I mean no harm." She smiled softly at the other mare and walked slowly towards the water source to get a drink. "It is indeed a lovely day, but sun can in fact too be harsh on ones body." She finished speaking to the mare before she lowered her head and got a drink to soothe her dry throat. It had been a while since she had last soothed her thirst. "Is this land your territory?" Once she had finished drinking, the thought had instantly popped into her mind, and she was incredibly curious as to rather the other mare was a stranger to the land like herself or if she was indeed a native.
