Aw man... I procrastinated and hesitated clear past the host applications... sad Stupid low self esteem. I kept telling myself that I would do it, that I could do it, but I just couldn't bring myself to apply... *sigh* I guess there is always next year. I guess the least I can do is join a committee. At least that would be something I can put on my host application next year.

The Sands of Time Blow.... We're always looking for people to help out, just join in something else, and like Angel said, you may be able to be a Co-Host still. ....Greeting the Demonic Prince.

Cohosting is great experience to be a Host. And I mean, theoretically you still have a chance. I was actually supposed to be a cohost last year, but had to take on a lot of Host work with the rest of my group when our host disappeared, and our secondary host stepped down. So while it is extremely unlikely, it's not totally impossible for you to become a host this year.
All in all, just have fun. If this is your first year (I don't recognize your user from last year's planning), you might enjoy cohosting, or committee work more.

Ya, this is my first time showing my face in the planning guild. sweatdrop If people step down, I would love to try and take their place. Though every time I think about it I start to get nervous. First time jitters and all that.Though if someone has to step down for next years ball I could most likely pull it off. If for some unearthly reason I still don't have a job by the time the next ball rolls around I could easily be on all day every day of the ball.

Even if you aren't a host this year, cohosting is a great way to get rid of the nervousness. You get to see how it all works without having to worry as much about making mistakes. Then next year, you won't be as nervous about taking part next year.
