Acora walked into the park a calm expression on her face despite the slight tension between her shoulders, tooking up at the sky. "Oh come on there has to be a dragon around here somewhere." She sighed as she kept moving never taking her eyes from the clouds.
Goby had been out long before anybody else. He was doing his normal splashing around in the pond. He loved it there. Though of course this was not helping him find his damsel in distress. He wasn't exactly the smartest of fellas but he loved the fairy tale stories about princes finding their damsel in distress. He gave a bit of a sigh. He was not a prince but maybe he could be a knight.
Because she never took her eyes from the sky looking for that all elusive dragon, Acora was not really paying attention to where she was going, and was having a hard time not walking into things, this proved very true when she tripped and stumbled into the pond. Reappearing with a small sigh she looked back to the sky once more before deciding that she would hunt for a kappa instead.
Goby looked over at the suddenly splash within the pond. Ohhh she doesn't look to happy. He ducked under the water then swam over to her. He popped his head up in front of her. "You coming for a swim too?" He gave her a large grin his fin raised high on his back.
Acora looked at him in shock for a moment, nodding silently before blurting out without thinking, "Are you a dragon?!?" She ducked her head as a slight blush spread across her face, mildly embarressed that she would blurt something like that out, she could make the dragon run away!
Goby blinked his long scaly tail swaying across the water in a serpentine fashion. "Dragon? Why would a damsel wanna see a dragon! They capture pretty girls to keep in their hoard or worse!" He cringed a bit wondering why the girl would want to see a dragon. "I'm not a dragon. I'm ummm well I dunno what I am!"
Acora looked up and cocked her head slightly to one side, "well you see my sisters keep telling me that I'm silly for thinking dragons are really so I wanna find one to prove that they do." She looked at him for a moment eyes shinning slightly. "If your not a dragon, then are you by chance a kappa?"
Goby looked confused. "Kappa? What is that?" He wasn't sure what exactly he was. But he surely was no monster if that is what she was thinking.
Acora smiled at him softly, "It's like a mythical Japaness water serpent. I've always wanted to meet one!" She smiled at him her eyes glowling with excitment.
Goby tilted his head to the side. "Do you think I'm one?" His tail continued to sway across the water.
Acora grinned, "Yeah I do." She swam around him in a small circle looking at him intently. Then suddenly stopped, "I'm Acora by the way."
Goby smiled. "Alright then I can be a kappa if you like." He watched her swim around him. "Ohh! I'm Goby. Are you a damsel in distress?"
Acaora smiled a big smile, "Yay! I met a kappa!" She started to swim lazily again, "I suppose I am..."
Goby smiled widely. "So then Acora is there anything you need help with?" He really wanted to be a knight. And if this girl would let him do that then he would be quite content.
Acora smiled at him, "Yeah I always need help on my quests! I'm trying to find the lost treasure of Atlantis! I need a lot of help with that, because I'm not even sure where Atlantis is."
Goby thought a bit. "Well it's not in this pond here. Cause I've been to the bottom of it several times." He gave her a sweet smile. He got a thoughtful look on his face. "I heard it is in the ocean. And seeing as you are normal I really don't think you would be able to go there."
Acora pouted, "But it's one of my dreams to find Atlantis, come on! Help me find it pretty please?" She asked her eyes glowling brightly this was gonna be a really fun adventure!
Goby thought a bit. He knew of a city that was not far off shore. He could take her there. It may not be Alantis but he was always finding shiny things there. "Alright. But we have to go to the ocean. And we have to get you one of those things that goes on your head to make you breathe underwater."
Acora nodded vigorously, "okay!" She climbed up out of the pond shaking the water from her fur, and running a paw over one of her ears. "I've always wondered about what it would be like go scuba? Yeah I think that's what it's called sucba diving."
Goby followed her out of the water. He gave himself a shake sending water everywhere. "Yes that is what it is called. Or so I been told." He gave her smile. He looked her over. "Awww your so pretty!"
Acora blushed at his words, "Thank you." She looked at him for a moment before continuing, "Your markings are really interesting, I think I could almost get lost in them." She swept her tail lightly along the ground, her eyes bright, as she hooked her paw around his front leg, "come on or someone will find it all first!"
Goby stumbled falling face first into the grass. He was graceful in water that was his element. But being on land he was not so graceful. "Alright." He got up. "Now I dunno if this place is Alantis. But I find some pretty neat things there."
Acora was bouncing on the balls of her feet excitment corsing through her, "either way it sounds like fun!" She giggled slightly the whole time before lightly rubbing her nose along his cheek. "I can't wait to see it!"
Goby blushed when she rubbed her nose along his cheek. "Ohhhh. I'll make sure you have a grand adventure." He puffed out his chest a bit trying to make himself look more knightly to her.
Acora grinned softly, "I'm sure you will." She couldn't help the small blush that crept up on her face as the thought passed through her head that he must be the prince that supposed to save the princess from all the evil in the world.
Goby looked at her and smiled. "So what all would you like to do Acora? Well besides going looking for Alantis."
Acora sighed wistfully, "I like to hunt for dragons, save unicorns, basicly if someone tells me it's impossible I want to do it. Because really is anything impossible I don't think so. I think you can do anything if you put your mind to it. What about you? What do you like to do for fun?"
Goby thought a bit. "Ummm I like to got swimming and exploring." He blushed a bit. "And I'm always looking for my damsel in distress. I want to be like the prince's in the story books! Though I'm not a prince so maybe I can be a knight."
Acora looked at him for a long moment before saying anything, "I think your a prince."
Goby stumbled a bit turning bright red. "Ohhhh ummmm." He fumbled with words. "Me? You really think I'm a prince?"
Acora giggled slightly as he stumbled, going over to him to help him up. "Yep I do. All regal and noble, offering to help little old me."
Goby blushed more brightly. "Then ummm are you my damsel in distress?"
Acora blushed and turned her head to the side, "I am if you want me to be."
Goby nodded his head still blushing brightly. "Yes I think I would like that." He looked around. "Ohhh ummm we are here." He dashed forward finding a helmet for her to wear. "Come here we need to find one that fits you just perfect." He gave her a smile.
Acora rushed to side a shy smile on her face, "Okay" she looked at the helmet's for a moment not sure how she was going to know if it fit right or not. She poked one before asking softly, "So how do I knowif it fits right?"
Goby gently placed one on her head then pointed at a bucket of water. "Put your head in there. If water comes in then it does not fit right. We have to find one that does not let water in. Don't want you to drown now." He gave her a warm smile. "Specially now that I found my damsel in distress!"
Acora nodded and walked over to the bucket looking at uncertainly before sitcking her head in, she sat like that for a moment before coming back and lightly tugging the helmet off, "Nope no water." SHe said with a happy little laugh.

Goby smiled. "Great. Now we can head to the ocean." He pointed at the nearby water. "So we need to walk down the beach a little ways. So follow me." He bounded towards the beach happily.

Acora followed after him with a giggle and a bounce. "Okay sounds like fun!" She sang out before she started singing to herself, "We're off to find Atlantis, Atlantis, Atlantis. We're off to find Atlantis!" Happiness coursing through her, she even had a new friend.

Goby giggled a bit as she sang out. "Alright. We shall go find Alantis." His tail dragged along the sand leaving a trail where he had been. "I hope you aren't disappointed if we do not find Atlantis." He looked over at her. "But I'll be more then happy to cheer up my sweet damsel!"

Acora smiled at him and nuzzled his cheek again, "Well if it's not Atlantis then we shall just have to look for again on another day." She gave a firm nod as though this was the only logical thing to do. She looked at his tail for a moment before playfully pouncing on it, "hehe I'll always be your damsel?"

Goby stumbled forward face planting into the sand as she pounced on his tail. He lifted his head giggling. "You'll be mine for always unless you tell me to go away." He turned his head to look at her and smiled with a slight blush on his cheeks. "I'll always be your prince as long as you want me to be also."

Acora smiled up at him her front paws planted firmly on his tail, "Well then I guess I get to keep you forever." She said as she pulled her helmet back on and ran into the waves looking at him over her shoulder from the moment she took off.

Goby smiled happily. "Then you are mine forever!" He scrambled up as she ran past him. "Wait for me!" He ran to the shore then jumped in with a large splash. "You ready?" He gave her a huge grin.

Acora smiled and nodded, "Yep I'm ready just lead the way!" She said ready to follow him where ever he might lead her.

Goby dove under the water. He swam in front of her using his powerful tail and legs. He made sure to keep close to her so she would not get lost or worse something happened with that helmet of hers. He gave her a smile as he swam down deeper into the water.

Acora followed as close behind Goby as possible, making sure she didn't lose him on the way down. She was staring around her in wide eyed wonder, now this was the kind of thing her dreams were made of! She knew she had to be careful and as they went deeper she made sure she was almost next to him, as the water got to dark for her to see well.

Goby smiled feeling her close to him. He would protect her and make sure nothing hurt her. He was her prince after all. He stopped for a minute then pulled off his collar. He did his best to hook it to her collar then put the other part into his mouth using it as a lead of sorts. He dove deeply into a kelp forest. Just through here then we are out of the dark and into the light and she will see his city. He thought to himself.

Acora squirmed slightly as he hooked his collar to her own, happy in her own little way that they were connected. As they swam through the kelp she giggled lightly as it tickled her sides and belly, a small gasp escaping her mouth as they came to the underwater city. 'It's beautiful' she thought to herself as they drew ever nearer.

Goby led her down into the city. They sent schools of brightly colored fish swimming in all directions. He looked over and gave her a smile still holding his collar in his mouth. He gently tugged her towards some of the ruins. He had found many wonderful treasures down among these ruins. He hoped he would find more amazing things to send her home with.

Acora gave a happy little yip from inside her helmet, 'This has to be Atlantis' she thought to herself, speeding up so that she could twine her tail around Goby's in a show of thanks and affection. "And he is most definitely prince charming.'
