Alright, so gaia just came out with the new feature called Bid Blast. It's kinda like all those penny auction kinda sites. It can be a really awesome feature if you know how to use it right.
You can find Bid Blast under the 'shops' tab. It should be the last option in the drop down bar.
Tips:
1. Make sure your bidding on an item you REALLY want. I say this because you are going to be spending some time and some gold to get it.
2. Pay attention to how much it actually costs in the marketplace. The tickets you buy ARE NOT how you win the item. You win the item buy bidding on it, than once time runs out, the last person who placed a bid, has to pay that amount.
Ex: Elegant White Satin Coat is in the Bid Blast right now. You can buy it in the MP for about 52,ooog. The current bid on the item is 433865 gold. That's pretty much 8 times what the winner has to pay to get the item instead of buying it from the Marketplace.
3. Pay attention to how many tickets you spend bidding on an item. Each ticket is worth 10 gold, so you don't want to waste thousands of gold just to have the top bid. Remember that is you do win, you will literally be paying for the item cost + the amount of tickets you used.
4. Be smart. Don't worry about bidding when there are hours left on the clock. Who cares if your not the top bidder than? The more people that bid on the item, the more the final price goes up, and the more money you are wasting. Save all your money and tickets for the end of the auction.
5. Make sure you know the final day of the auction. Since there are thousands of gaian's on at a time, I'm sure the bid will be probably carried out to the final day.
6. No mater how much you want to, you can't place your own items up for bids. I have seen TONS of people ask how they could do that, and just so you know, you can't.
7. Don't sit there and spam the bid button. Every time you click, you spend another ticket and increase the price of the item.
