Irja watched her opponent closely at first, but as soon as she let her guard down, she was tackled into the air, since her opponent was a water type, the attack hurt a lot. As if by impulse, she rapped her front arms around Jade and tried to Bury her.

Luckily Irja's counter attack landed and she managed to drive part of Jade's bottom half into the ground. This would prevent her from attacking for a little bit. But this immobility would give Irja a good chance to land a attack.
Quickly jumping back from her stuck opponent, she rand toward her, small claws stretched out and ready to swipe the flesh of Jade.

Irja flew right by Jade, tumbling as she hit the other side. It wasn't a smooth landing at all. Hoping up quickly she noticed that Jade was trying to free herself. This would be her last chance to get Jade while she was still stuck. Running quickly and leaping up into the air, Irja flew down to try and headbutt Jade. Her eyes narrowed as she flew closer, ready for the pain she was about to feel and cause.

Her head contacted Jade's and, what it seemed like from Irja's point of view, helped free Jade from her hole. Landing on the ground she slide across the dirt, leaving claw marks behind her. Quickly jumping around, she turns to face her opponent when her worst nightmare was realized. Jade was using her elemental power and it would be super effective against her. RIPTIDE! Irja tried to turn and run, but to no avail, the attack landed perfectly and knocked her flying. Hitting the ground and rolling a little, she slowly stood up and smirked at Jade. This was going to be a good fight.
She took off running toward Jade again but then shot up into the air, if ground attacks didn't work, she was going to try air. Flapping her wings she flew at Jade, ready to try and sink her teeth into the back of Jade's neck. Irja was determined.

Jade hadn't been able to counter Irja's attack, which was good on her side. But as Jade ripped back, she stumbled slightly and then composed herself. The next thing she knew, Jade was knocking her to the ground again. The attack hurt tremendously, but she was not out yet. Since she was already against Jade, she decided to try and counter again.

The counter was perfect. Just like the time before, Irja slammed Jade down into the ground. But this time she wasn't letting her just stay there and get hit once. Oh no, she was going to attack her and make it count. Tensing up and digging her claws into the ground, Irja used Earthshaker. The ground around Jade started to rise up into the air and was sent hurling at Jade. This was Irja's elemental attack and she was going to do her best to make it hurt. The pain from this would last for a couple more attacks.

Jade was hit and buried.
Jade was once buried again, then the ground shook and she was hit by Irja's Earthshaker. This was when Jade was glad her element was water so it wasn't that effective. She then tried to free herself again, causing her to lose a turn.

The attack did its job, but Jade was resistant against Irja's own element. That made this fight a little harder, but Irja was not going to give in that easy. She was stubborn after all. Since she had a free chance to attack, she was going to rip into Jade's flesh. Her attack like this didn't land last time, but now...now was different. She ran at Jade and tensed her paws, ready to slice into some skin.
