how do you get rid of snails??!!? I've tried everything except clown loaches and copper doses. is there any other LESS expensive way other than completely scrubbing out the tank by hand, cause that does not work, I've tried.
please any ideas?

What have you got? Ramshorns? Those are fun LOL

What I do is, at night, I drop in an algae wafer, right where its easy to get at, then in the morning, I manually remove all the snails in that general area. I do that with a turkey baster and a net, so I can get more at once.

Smaller snails can be sucked up into the baster several at a time, and larger snails are sucked up one at a time, and then they are dropped into the net which is also in the tank (its a two hand job).

does getting a clown loach work? a friend said it did, they're too much $ to test so i want to be sure before i get one.

Clown Loaches get a foot long and like to kept in groups of 6 or more. Unless you have a triple-didgit gallon tank, I'd say no. There are smaller Loaches, you could consider, but buying a fish just to get rid of a snail problem is rather irresponsible, in my opinion.

You could also try putting in a piece of lettuce or veggie, and remove it in the morning.
