"WHY?!" Someone roared from a boutique lining the Maul's wall, causing all eyes within the shop to hone in on the disturbance.
A pair of white hands worked the sleeves of shirts and the hems of pants tirelessly, picking articles of clothing up before thrusting them back into their place in disgust. (or more likely in any spot that opened up easily) Sales clerks had already tried to tame the beast, calling to managerial staff who came in close just to make sure everything was alright...but the ghoul who continued to thrash about the store like an enraged Pathling was unresponsive. In most cases she simply shooed them off with one arm while the other wrapped around several stacks of clothing, sifting through them with her orange gaze before letting them fall back on the shelves.
She was a regular there, usually well liked and not the sort to cause a scene. It was because of this that security hadn't been called yet, and the team working this afternoon hadn't bothered to ask her to leave. Natalia spent oodles of seeds in their store alone, she was essential for a high daily sales count...but all of these circumstances were wearing the group at BareBones boutique thin. One could only take so much screeching and crying from a single customer.
But it wasn't her fault! At least, that was how Natalia saw it. The monster had left her dorm and ventured to the Maul in hopes of finding a superb outfit worth wearing for a night with Whisper...Not that they had made any plans for one yet, but she had to be prepared for when they did! Natalia had high hopes for the shop, she expected to find everything she needed all within their expensive four walls...It came to HER surprise when she entered and saw the brightly colored shirts and high-top jeans that were released for this season. It wasn't her fault that the shock was overwhelming, and her disgust was evident on the frown she wore.
While Halloween very rarely experienced an extremely cold shift in weather, the clothing that each store pumped out usually changed styles from month to month. Long sleeves had poured from every shelf only last week, checkered shorts and all that matched with them the month before, and extremely short shorts with tank tops even before that...but bright pinks? grandmother jeans? No. It would not do.
"UGH! I can not deal with this anymore!" A sigh may have escaped every pair of lips in the store when Natalia's voice boomed again. "I think I will take my business elsewhere! I will see you next week Charlotte!" A hand waved back at the clerks and guests as the monster exited through the glass doorway, the long tail at her end swishing back and forth with every step--held high over her back.
When it came to clothes, Natalia would forever act like a spoiled brat. She required the neatest, most fashionable wears and would rarely settle for less...The goods BareBones tried to sell to their clients this month were a disgrace, and that was just fact they would have to accept. Just as Natalia had accepted it. But now, without her favorite shop to go to, the ghoul was left purposeless. Two bags clung to her wrist already, not including the black sling purse she wore over one shoulder, which meant her shopping for today would probably come to an end very soon...and so early in the afternoon! What a shame...
Unless....taking her eyephone from the purse and flipping through the numbers, Natalia figured she could hit up any number of her friends to play dress up with! Surely one of them wouldn't mind allowing her to buy them some outfits. She would continue walking in the mean time, utterly distracted by the phone in her hand.
Renaissance...erm...no. LW...Maybe!...hrm...

Okay, she couldn't put it off any longer. The dress that Riley had given her, coupled with the pants, shirt and jacket she had acquired, just wasn't cutting it anymore. Her pretty yellow jacket was littered with scorch marks now, and it was a terrible reminder of events that lead up to today. So it was time to bite the bullet and do the thing she never liked to do; go shopping. She didn't want to ask Lizzy along, since she didn't want to potentially upset the ghoul with her whining, and she was too embarrassed to ask any of her closer friends. Instead she decided to go alone, in case it was worse than she imagined.
So far the shops were daunting. She'd been in one and it was very, very uncomfortable to her. She couldn't figure out why in Jack's name she would want to walk around in clothing like this. It was...a little very see through! It didn't don on her that she had accidentally wandered into the less innocent side of the lingerie store.
Even so she was about to give up. She survived her first year with pretty much just a sari, right? It would be okay for her to do it again, right? Hrmm...Yeah, that'll have to be it. Maybe Lizzy would force some clothing on her! She could only hope. As she turned to leave she spotted a familiar ghoul; she had seen this one around school, she was sure of it! She wasn't sure what made her wander over, but she did, and she tapped the ghoul's shoulder with a patchworked hand.
"U-uhm, excuse me...you go to Amityville, r-right?" The Vetala asked timidly, playing with her wavy hair. "C-could you help me? I need a store that has fireproof clothes..." Because hers clearly were not.

Natalia ran out of friends on her phone before she had even passed the second store since BareBones, filing through them several times more if for no other reason than to look busy, before dumping the entire thing into her purse with a grunt. It was sort of a depressing realization for her, finding that the few friends she had would probably be busy doing other things with the dozens of friends they had...
Natalia needed to get out more. She needed to do something with people she was not necessarily familiar with! She needed--Oh?
The tiny voice that followed a tentative tap alerted the monster, orange eyes glancing over a bare shoulder to inspect the inquisitor. It was a ghoul, a familiar ghoul...perhaps a student from Amityville, since surely she was not a regular at the Maul. Yes, the face of this patchwork sparked memories of previous events, but the name had either escaped her or had never been said before. And the question that had been posed was certainly not one she had expect, lifting her brow in high curiosity.
She hadn't prayed for it or anything, but as it seemed fate had dealt its hand in her favor. Maybe.
"Hello!" She said, spinning slowly on her heels to face the other ghoul. Of course she would help, but proper introductions were in order! "My name is Natalia, and yes I go to Amityville. Who might you be?" Her tone was lifted airily by her welling excitement as her eyes wandered across the other ghouls form. What would fit those contours just right? What colors would bring out those eyes? Probably not the most curvaceous ghoul around, but there was potential in that body...whose ever it was. It would be a challenge to say the least! A project!
The undead project! Oh she was so clever...what fun! The smile on her face widened with her thoughts, head tiling to the side to let her bangs flow across her forehead.

The current Patchworked body was rather new; just prior to the campaign speeches, actually! Before that she was just a rotting little ghoul; her growth happened quite literally overnight, in about the length of time it took Malodore and Christof to build it and for her to get into it. She actually did have curves; her parts were gathered by Christof, after all! But her jacket hid most of them, which was a shame.
"Ah...I'm Amrita...I think we had a couple classes together...?" She said hesitantly, recalling the massive tail but not quite recalling much else; her previous brain had been a dull, rotted thing that often failed her. Right now she had an entire year of acquaintences to regain, what a pain! The brain that resided in this body was in nearly perfect working order, and that meant she recognized certain facial clues a little easier; she was pretty sure she knew what Natalia was doing. She had seen it before; the ghoul was sizing her up, no doubt for the exact thing she was here for.
Oh...Oh jack. Not another shopaholic! Please please PLEASE let her be wrong! PLEASE.
"I-it...it's nice to officially meet you, Natalia." She said hesitantly, wondering if she approached the wrong ghoul. After an unnecessary gulp, she tried again. "S-so...um, do you...?" Bringing up her previous question, of course.

"Oh!" The ghoul chuckled exuberantly, taking a hand to her chest, pinky out of course, while fluttering her lashes sillily. It WAS nice to meet Natalia, wasn't it? How long had it been since she indulged in such formal greetings? Quite some time, that was how long! "I am sorry Amrita! Your name is starting to ring all kinds of bells, yes! I believe you are right about the classes, although at one point or another you looked...well, younger!" Her laughter continued light heartedly, slowing only to continue on. "That is not to say that you are looking any less lovely within this new form." She winked, but lasted for a split second and may have gone unnoticed...
"In any case it is a pleasure to meet you just as well, Amrita."
Natalia paused for but a moment to catch her breath then, orange eyes doing a final sweep of the other student, duly noting the anxiousness in her stance, before turning to look at the shops around them. "Well darling, I would be absolutely honored to help you! This place has it all, most of the time..." Suddenly the monster was leaning in and whispering the following as if it should be kept between only the two of them. "I would steer clear of BareBones for the next few weeks however...the clothes being sold this month are horrible!" Leaning back with newly crossed arms, Natalia smiled and kept her gaze on Amrita's face. "But you said something about fireproof clothing, am I right? I understand the fear sweetheart, but is there any other reason for the specification?" Not that it mattered. The were lemur was only being nosy.
In the mean time she continued to scan the Maul walls to her left and right.

Amrita gave the ghoul a confused look; what was with that eye flutter? Was she sick? Maybe she had a twitch? If she did, it would be rude to bring it up, right...? Still, she was concerned.
"Err, y-yeah, I just...recently got this body and...idon'thaveclothesthatfit." She said the last part rather quickly, not really happy at having to admit it. This ghoul was likely going to be helping her at this rate, that look in the other ghoul's orange eyes just said it all; Amrita was doomed, and she had no choice but to submit to it. She wasn't a rude ghoul after all! Natalia's laughter had a contagious note to it, and the patchwork found herself smiling sheepishly despite herself. The compliment made a strange flush hit her cheeks and she did not respond, instead looking down nervously. Yes, this body was lovely...but she was starting to realize that her definition of 'lovely' was different from others.
"A-ah?!" Gray eyes moved towards the store in question, seeing it just within her line of vision. Just as quietly, she whispered back. "Oh? What did they do?" Why else would it be horrible? Clearly they did something. She was baffled and getting worse, but the last question she could answer easily.
"Err, see, I have a Death Charm...and he's been really grumpy lately..." Amrita whimpered, shoulders slouching a little. DC was on a hate-her spree ever since she got a new body, but even without the bad mood she wasn't a fan of her clothes catching fire.
Ugh. Fire.

Although it wasn't surprising that Amrita knew NOTHING of BareBones and their most recent activities, the werelemur gasped a little. And then threw her arms into the air. "They have committed a criminal act, my dear ghoul! They have stained their racks with murderous content that no one should be subjected to wear! I was hardly able to believe the amount of customers walking out with bags, let alone those willing to enter the shop in the first place!" While she fought the urge to get too loud, she couldn't help but avert her attention to the blue-lit sign hanging over the stores threshold. A shiver jostling her chest and shoulders.
The monster did, however, take in a huge breath before waving dismissively.
"But you do not have anything to worry about, I will take good care of you." And there it was, the confirmation of Natalia's plan. She sealed her eyes with a strong nod, fangs exposed in a very slick smile. It was probably a bit discomforting for the undead, who had held a look of wariness even before the monster had approached.
"So..." She continued with a hiked brow. "What exactly is a Death Charm?" Taking Amrita's arm into her own, Natalia proceeded down the boulevard of cutesy boutiques with a critical eye settling on each and every doorway.

Natalia would be met with a wide-eyed stare and a ghoul that looked at her like she'd grown several heads and confessed her love to a human. Criminal Acts? Murderous content on the racks? People still shopping there? What? How? Just...what?
"I...um. O-okay? But um, What's so wrong with...?" The ghoul looked over her shoulder at the BareBones store, but followed along with the Natalia regardless. That sinking feeling that she was going to be subjected to clothing styles that she wasn't too used to...at all.
"I-it's um...a...a fire beast. Mine's a little one..." She made the gestures with her backwards hands, making toughly the size of her housecat-like death charm. "Umm...his Mama attacked us on Christmas..." This was admitted with a bowed head, not watching the ghoul look around at the other shops.
"S-so, um, whattre we lookin for...?"
