Yeeeeah...you guys would've figured me out eventually, despite the name change. I swore I would never return, but BD has been tugging at me in the last few days. However, I'm not gonna be on as nearly much as I used to, obviously.
SSooooo....Bagram Airfield. I'm actually in a separate base that still inside the wire, called Camp Sabalu-Harrison. To have anything named after you here, you gotta get killed in combat I've noticed. Personally, I don't want anything named after me. So yeah. I hafta' deal with all the little hajji ******** that our guys out in the field capture and bring back. In my time as an internal escort inside the detention facility, I've come to see just how far back in the Dark Ages this country is. The Afghan National Army cracks me up sometimes. Those dudes have the worst work ethic I've ever seen and they act like kids sometimes. The detainees themselves aren't that horrible as our training led us to believe, but they will still throw fecal matter at an unsuspecting US guard force or ANA if you piss them off enough. They're also racist, sexist dinosaurs who worship a god I think took a dump on them at one point in time. They sure do smell like it. Then again, Alexander the Great, Gengis Khan, probably several other armies up to the Soviets and now us have walked all over this place for thousands of years. So maybe they're just pissed off. Whatever. If you never get a chance to visit Afghanistan in your lifetime, you didn't miss anything.

@Grim: ....Fine. I will admit, I'm no longer an anti-fuzzy creature person anymore. Lack of animal interaction out here has made me slightly depressed.
@Nyrk: That's good to hear. Wish I could come back with a blaze of glory like the old days, but Remus really no longer has any more stories to tell. He won some wars, got married and had kids. What more can I possibly do? Queen Iris still needs some work before I can do anything with her.

I knew you'd be back.
Only a matter of time, I'm glad though.
Oh, And Ian. We're pretty close by, I mean I could a take small air fare to ya. Ireland is nice place, you should visit. All Though I don't think I'll be going to Bagram anytime soon.
