The challengers meet on a tiny island. It's a thickly forested island with lots of undergrowth. In fact, the spot you stand in was made just for the purpose of giving you somewhere to stand because otherwise you couldn't clearly see the opponent. You are standing 5 feet from each other.

Black Jack stood quietly in his small area of cleared ground. Looking at his opponent, only a mere five feet away, he was ready for this fight. With this, he could possibly win something nice, or just prove himself. It didn't matter what happened during the fight, all that mattered would be winning. Looking his opponent over, he nodded to himself, he was ready to start.

Nepeta was ready to go. She was a little concerned as it was her furst fight and she was already at a disadvantage. She eyes black jack over. She removes her green coat and nods that she too is ready.

As his opponent went in for an attack, Black Jack decided to start out strong. Leaping backwards he managed to move out of the way of her attack and force her to miss him barely. Landing on a large tree root that was busting from the ground, he laughed at her. "What a way to start off a fight." Now it was his time to dazzle and show off his moves. Leaping off of the root, he flew up into the air and decided to go for a nice headbutt.

When she tried to counter, Black Jack just laughed. Sometimes countering was difficult to do for certain attacks. Maybe headbutts were just one of those. Since he was still against her and in her grasps, so to speak, he felt her teeth sink into his skin. A small yelp escaped his mouth, but then it just fell silent. His body went limp as he was paralyzed and fell to the ground. As his body hit some dust was kicked up. Though he couldn't do anything, he saw her moving in for another attack. She he felt her hit him, he knew that the paralyzing had worn off enough He would now try and counter her attack. In his mouth he started to build a black ball of something that resembled tar. This, he was aiming right towards her face.
(Yeah, it was your turn cause you still attack after you counter. Also, since I am your weakness and you do five less damage, their paralyze would just make you do the amount you roll since I would be adding five, yes?)

It had worked. His tar like substance he spit out had made contact with its target, her face. He felt very proud of himself. He was going to show her that he was better and landing a counter was one way. Now, he was going to attack her. He could still feel the affects of the paralyze in parts of his body and the teeth marks hurt, but he would pay it no mind for now. Jumping away from her, he landed on a small pile of brush. This position would be good for tackling her to the ground. Leaping off the pile, he landed on the ground with a small thump and then took off towards her, getting ready to ram his entire body into hers.

[you are poisoned for 5 turns regardless of resist so for that last turn you need to subtract 5 from your health if you already haven't. for your attacks add 5 damage and for my attacks subtract 5 but for elemental skills you don't. I asked Hel last night]

Nepeta is slammed by the leaping ruos she is blinded by their counter so she doesn't know where he is. She attempts to hide under some of the thick brush where she had landed.

After he had slammed into her, Black Jack wasn't paying attention when she ran to hide. Hoping around the open area he was in, he looked for her. This fight wouldn't be over yet. He couldn't see her from his current position, so he decided to fly up higher. Flapping his black wings, he slowly made his way up into the air. Scanning the ground below him, like a hawk does for food, he noticed something in some brush. If that wasn't her, he was about to make a fool of himself. Launching himself down towards the area he thought she was, he outstretched his claws and was ripping at the brush to get below it. But he still wasn't sure if this is where she was or not.

The thick brush shielded her a little from that attack and she continued to duck there, continuing to try and rub the darkness from her eyes.

As Black Jack dug into the brush, he could see the fur of his opponent. "Can't hide from me.." He was dedicated to reach her and continue the fight. She might not be able to see, but he was hoping that she would still put up a fight. Continuing to claw his way to his opponent, he was getting inches away from her back and was aiming to scratch her.
