What is your writing space like?
I used to have a nice den full of books but for the last couple years that room has been taken by my oldest daughter and my grandson as a bedroom. Now days I have to write in bed or try to make a comfortable mini man cave in the walk in closet. I can't wait to get my den back.

Hmm, writing on your bed sounds difficult because of the temptation to sleep.
This summer I just moved into my own apartment for the first time. It's a bachelor's type set up so I don't really have specific "rooms" so much :p I do have my desktop computer sitting in one corner next to the window, which will be nice for just gazing out at people in the street. While my laptop is usually just set up on my coffee table so I can sit on my couch and write.
But I think basically anywhere I can curl up with a cup of tea will be my writing spot!

I have a corner of the couch that's designated as mine, and the two little tables by it are always filled with my writing stuff. Otherwise, if I find people too distracting and the weather's nice enough, I'll move up to the roof. If not, then like Morsuaile said, anywhere that I can curl up with a cup of tea is perfect.

XD I don't have a walk in closet, but good luck getting your room back! Hmmm, I usually like to write in cafes, actually. Pretty much anywhere my laptop is, that's where I'll write! XD Okay, that or my notebook. I'm always carrying one or the other around (year round). Heh. <3

I write in my messy room. The only downside to this comfortable place is that no matter how many times I tell people not to bother me, they will just burst in and start rambling about NOTHING. But apart from the door that allows people in, this is an excellent writing area for me.

Haha, I always used to take over my families dining room table (even when I was only there for 5 days I claimed it as my space). But I could never really NaNo at it, just homework. NaNoing feels to personal to me for some reason so I can only do it while alone or when surrounded by other writers. Or at least in a computer lab where everyone has something better to be doing then to ask me what I'm working on =p

Oh man, I know it isn't conducive at all, but I write at work and at home...I kinda have to. It's really difficult for me to separate myself from everyone (in this case four cats and a boyfriend) because I'm not used to the silence.
I think I've got my boyfriend trained mostly not to bother me when I'm writing...and he knows if I don't answer a question right away, I'm not ignoring him, just on a train of thought. So...now it's just the cats...

My writing space is a desk that my ex bought for me when I moved into my new apartment. It should fit my new Desktop computer nicely.

Well considering I have to work in a nasty math class for school this November, I actually will be dividing my work between night and day. My mom and sister are doing it with me, so we are al lgoing to use the living room as our work space. Mom and sis went out ot get notebooks for NaNo today. smile

While I'm at University I'll probably be doing 90% of my writing at my desk on my laptop. The other 10% will either be with friends also taking part in NaNo or on my netbook in the kitchen waiting for food to cook. When I'll be at home for a couple of days in November I'll either be writing in the Living room either on the floor or on the coffee table, or at my desk in my room (it all depends how sociable I'm feeling).
I am really hoping this year that I'll get to have some writing sessions with some friends at University. I missed out on it last year because I was too shy.

My writing space is a lot of spaces. I don't write in my bed anymore because I find that if I don't do anything other than sleep there I tend to sleep better most nights. I don't sleep a lot, or well, so whatever helps. I've actually (mostly) cleared off my desk and now I do homework, write, and type there as well as eat. In general it's become my little space of spaces.
I need to clean up the top two shelves though. Maybe by Christmas!

I forgot that I also often write while sitting under my Japanese KOTATSU (my wife is Japanese). It's very comfy with the couch to my back. I still need to retrieve it from my sister's basement where has been in storage during the warm weather.

Most of my writing is done at my computer desk, so I really need to get it cleaned up and organized over the next two weeks. And should I need to write elsewhere I will go just about anywhere in the house with either a notebook and pen or my Netbook, which I do the majority of my writing on. If it's relatively quiet then it is a writing space for me.
